“One of the best meals I've had in Chicago in a long time. Our server Marco was exceptional - we were celebrating a birthday and he made our experience SO special with complimentary dessert and wine! We ordered the empanadas, party steak, papas bravas, and polenta and everything was so delicious. Marco also made a good wine recommendation and let us taste before we decided. Service was top notch throughout our meal and we will be back!“

“The taste was much better than I expected. The two of us spent over 500, with nearly 100 in tips. The A5 Wagyu was more delicious than I imagined, and the oysters are definitely a must-order item at their restaurant. The only issue was personal; I’m someone who doesn’t like being frequently asked "how is everything" while eating. Although the person in charge was very enthusiastic, it was just a bit too much for me. I hope in the future they could pay a bit more attention to individual customer preferences.“

“All I can say is WOW! This steakhouse was incredible! Cannot recommend enough. The meat paradise was truly an experience and a delicious one at that. Our server, Leo, was probably one of the best servers we’ve ever had anywhere with his charismatic personality and caring service. He truly made this restaurant a memorable time! Forget about Brazilian steak houses or what not, money was WAY better spent here! Photo is before the delicious steak was grilled to our liking in front of us.“

“Few months late! Came to Penumbra for Valentine’s Day and it was such a great choice. Ambiance set was really intimate, requested the private curtain area ahead of time and it felt like we were on our own place. Felt like a family owned place. The food and service were equally as good and on our way out an employee handed us a small rose shaped soap and thanked us for dining in. We had the bocaditos quesadilla which was the best version of a quesadilla we’ve had, shadow shrimp, a flat iron steak, and surf and turf. We ate/loved everything.“

“We came here to celebrate my coworker’s birthday. Very cool dining experience! Every dish that was served was delicious. Stars of the show for me: Chicken parmesan (the breading was still crispy *under* the melted cheese) and the brussels sprouts (charred but almost candied?)“

“My son had done some photography (OMWP Photography 2108 Armitage) work for the business and had tried the cuisine. Raved about it. Sent me photos. Hence why we were there tonight. I took him out. My pleasure. The owner Zyra gracious and caring. I had Potato soup that was incredible. A Chicken Tostada Zyras moms recipe and she made a couple changes the sauces wow! The steaks I had a Ribeye. One of the best ever. I have dined at all the high end eateries steak joints in the city. This place is a gem. Had to try the desert. We had a chocolate flourless fudge cake. We indulged. I wish Zyra and her husband much success. Jacob Kaufman and I will be back. Thanks, L. Kaufman DDS“

“Impeccable service, perfect old Chicago vibe, delicious large portions. I like my ribeye uniformly med rare with a salty sear and butter basted finish. Here I order the bone-in ribeye rare and asked them not to be shy with the salt and butter. Comes with a nice sear, decadent and tasty. You will want to gnaw on the bone.Kid-friendliness: High chairs“

“The food at Saban's can't be beat. We had the pork chops. They were cooked to perfection, delicious, beautiful presentation, plentiful amounts enough for another meal. The service was great. And the prices are like going back in time. I seriously don't know why anyone would want to eat any place else.“

“Golden Steer never disappoints. The food is always delicious. It is just as good if not better than city steakhouses without the downtown prices. My husband and I have been coming here for years and the quality and service is just as great as ever. Congratulations to Elba for keeping things great if not better than ever! Brought a group of 7 in last week and every single person at the table was beyond impressed. We had fish, steak, lamb chops and more. All were fabulous!“

“When I first heard about the beef teriyaki, I must admit, I was skeptical. Could it really live up to the hype? The answer, it turns out, is a resounding yes. From the moment the dish was placed before me, the aroma alone was enough to dispel any lingering doubts. The beef was tender, each slice glazed to perfection with a savory-sweet teriyaki sauce that was a flawless balance of flavors. It was accompanied by a bed of steaming rice and crisp vegetables that added the perfect crunch. The beef teriyaki wasn't just good--it was a revelation. It's the kind of dish that haunts you in the best way possible; you find yourself thinking about it days later, craving that complex harmony of umami and sweetness. This is a dish that doesn't just satisfy your hunger, it elevates your entire dining experience. In short, if you're on the fence about trying this beef teriyaki, don't be. It's a culinary triumph that deserves every bit of praise it receives.“

“The food at the Boulevard was absolutely fantastic. I had the Waygu beef for the first time, and it was melt-in-your-mouth delicious. The wait staff helped my party curate the perfect meal by suggesting side dishes that compliment the main course. We tried crab cakes, bone marrow, and risotto. The table also sampled beets, 50/50 mashed potatoes, and Mac n' cheese. Ted the sommelier suggested an incredible wine to pair with our meals. Finally, desert was awesome! Our party sampled the chocolate cake, key lime pie, and cheese cake... all of which was top-notch! Best drinks and meals ever!Dietary restrictions: Wait staff inquired about any allergies or dietary restrictions.“

“I wanted the Cheeseburger with some Spicy fries. I watched him grill it and flip it a few feet away from me. The sizzle crackled and popped to prepare me for that first bite. I smashed the bread a little bit to cut my burger in half properly. The juices escaped the sides and left it's mark on my plate. Some of the fries couldn't escape it's reach.I forgot to take a picture for you, but I promise you (this place makes burgers better than anyone I could think of). When you go, go soon, and please take a picture of your burger for me yes? Oh, and tip the waitress (no less than $10.00).“

“I stopped by this outback location while to have lunch while waiting for my hotel room to be ready as this restaurant is attached to a Springhill Suites by Marriott. Came on a Saturday afternoon around 3pm and it wasn't busy, so there was no wait to be seated. Ordered the wings (hot) with blue cheese dressing and a house salad. The wings that I received weren't the hot ones as ordered and they gave me their ranch dressing that comes standard with the wings. I kept the order they sent me and was satisfied. Other than the mishap in attention to detail in my order the food was good, and so was the service.“

“A hidden GEM! The food was quality. The pricing was affordable. The staff were welcoming and proud to work there. They love their jobs and it showed with the quality of service and of course the perfectly cooked steak and other dishes they were delicious. I definitely recommend this place. The only thing I didn't like were statues and figures of pigs on the mantle by the wine. I would definitely get rid of that it takes away from the ambiance. Overall definitely returning and recommending this to friends and family.“
