“I came to El Che Sunday at 5 pm and it was not overly full but they were busy. I was past 15 minutes late but they were able to accommodate me still. I was greeted by the friendliest staff ever. From the front of the house to my server, they were all very pleasant and genuinely welcoming. I ordered the warm olives which were absolutely delicious, and I got the 8 oz Vacio Wagyi Flap Steak, medium rare. My meat was cooked perfectly and I was quite surprised how fast I got my food. I thought there would be a wait but I had my food within 15 minutes. I also asked my server to take a picture of me and he was kind enough to do so and help me arrange the table a bit better. And the woman at the front of the house was so nice! We chatted a bit and she took pictures of me in the restaurant and outside the restaurant! She was so nice and friendly! ? Definitely would recommend El Che for anyone looking for a lovely steak dinner either on your own or with friends and family. Parking was not difficult but I did reserve with spot hero but given the area there is plenty of street parking available. Definitely coming back here again.“

“First of all, the service is excellent. Our server was helpful, and pleasant, always showing up at the proper time. I thought the atmosphere on the lower level was a little too dark for my taste but it didn't detract from the service or the food. Dine upstairs if you prefer more lighting but it's also dim. Now the food. The salads were amazing. Our table had the lyonnaise and the wedge salads. Both were excellent. The ribeye steak, fried chicken, steak frites, all wonderful and recommended. One of our party ordered the salmon which is cooked medium. He said he should have ordered it well done but that is more his preference. Our server asked if it was OK and he said yes so no reflection on the quality of the dish. The creamed spinach is good but very rich. The mashed potatoes were amazing. I will definitely return just to try more dishes. Sorry no pictures. Drinks were amazing as well. Oh, forgot to mention large portions on everything.“

“The taste was much better than I expected. The two of us spent over 500, with nearly 100 in tips. The A5 Wagyu was more delicious than I imagined, and the oysters are definitely a must-order item at their restaurant. The only issue was personal; I’m someone who doesn’t like being frequently asked "how is everything" while eating. Although the person in charge was very enthusiastic, it was just a bit too much for me. I hope in the future they could pay a bit more attention to individual customer preferences.“

“All I can say is WOW! This steakhouse was incredible! Cannot recommend enough. The meat paradise was truly an experience and a delicious one at that. Our server, Leo, was probably one of the best servers we’ve ever had anywhere with his charismatic personality and caring service. He truly made this restaurant a memorable time! Forget about Brazilian steak houses or what not, money was WAY better spent here! Photo is before the delicious steak was grilled to our liking in front of us.“

“This is our new favorite date spot! This is the restaurant with the best ambiance in the city! It’s right across from the river, and it’s super dark inside, but very intimate. The service was second to none and everything we ordered was spectacular especially the desserts! We can’t wait to come back!“

“Fantastic steak restaurant in River North! It’s definitely on the pricier side but you get what you pay for. The restaurant is beautiful with fun lighting and some of the best service I’ve had at a restaurant. We got recommendations from the waiter and tried the house made pasta as an appetizer, which was a fantastic choice! I got the filet mignon which was delicious and the Mac and cheese as a side. The steaks come without sides so make sure to order some sides which are definitely shareable portions. We got the crème brûlée for dessert and the staff brought up some fun cotton candy since we were celebrating. Overall, it was such a great experience for a special event!“

“We came here to celebrate my coworker’s birthday. Very cool dining experience! Every dish that was served was delicious. Stars of the show for me: Chicken parmesan (the breading was still crispy *under* the melted cheese) and the brussels sprouts (charred but almost candied?)“

“My husband and I really enjoy great service and paired with good food; it is worth our time and money. Even though our visit was on the spur of the moment, we were able to get a great table. We arrived about 30 min to an hour before the restaurant became full. We were treated the same as those who had prior reservations and we were not rushed. The service/sever was great. Alex was very familiar with the menu, providing excellent descriptions of specials . Alex was attentive, checking to make sure we were enjoying our meal. Alex was also kind and friendly. Our meal (roasted chicken) was delicious. The chicken was cooked to perfection….very tender. If we could change one thing (minor) would be the lemon and caper jus. Flavor/taste was good, but it was just a little too much for us….the mash potatoes (which were tasty) disappeared into the jus. Loved the kale…very tender. Now, for the dessert(s); we are not sure how often the dessert menu changes, but the dessert menu on Saturday, April 12, 2024, presented a hard choice. Saving calories, we opted to share….we chose the Pound Cake filled with warm banana pudding, and drizzled with a rum sauce. This dessert was “De-Lish”, and worth every calorie. The pound cake was moist with a nice texture and the banana pudding was warm and full of flavor. Also, the sauce was so delicious, we tried to get every drop off the plate.?Again, we would recommend Chicago Firehouse!“

“Cocktails were excellent! Had a Hendricks martini and Yu-go Hugo. The baby iceberg salad, similar to a wedge salad, was delicious. We both had the twin petite filets wrapped in prosciutto medium but it was undercooked unfortunately. Waited for a couple minutes but the server wasn't around so we just made due with it. Whipped potatoes desperately needed salt. Dessert was creme brulee and it was a good portion and enjoyable.“

“Went here for my birthday lunch. I had been hearing about the Parmesan crusted lamb chops. I also had the strawberry margarita and it was delicious and kinda strong. So the lamb chops was recommended to be cooked well. When they came out they were still pretty pink on the middle. I didn't send them back I just figured I'll put them in the airfryer when I get home. Well I wouldn't recommend that because they were cooked through by time I made it home but I don't feel like they worked up good. I will go try them again in the future. The cheesecake was amazing. I'll be back in the future to try them again.“

“The food at Saban's can't be beat. We had the pork chops. They were cooked to perfection, delicious, beautiful presentation, plentiful amounts enough for another meal. The service was great. And the prices are like going back in time. I seriously don't know why anyone would want to eat any place else.“

“Outback SteakHouse is a carnivore's paradise, offering a rustic and welcoming ambiance that immediately transports you to the Australian Outback. The moment you step through the doors, you're greeted by the aroma of sizzling steaks and the warm glow of dim lighting, creating an atmosphere that's both cozy and adventurous. Upon arrival, I was promptly seated in a booth adorned with classic Outbak memorabilia, setting the stage for an unforgettable dining experience. The staff exuded genuine hospitality, making me feel right at home as I perused the menu brimming with tantalizing options. Opting for their signature Bone-In New York Strip, I eagerly anticipated the culinary delight that awaited. When the dish arrived, my senses were immediately captivated by the sight and scent of the perfectly grilled steak. The presentation was impeccable, with the juicy steak adorned with grill marks, hinting at the flavorful journey ahead. Sinking my knife into the tender flesh, I was met with a succulent burst of flavor that danced across my palate with each bite. Cooked to a flawless medium, the steak boasted a tantalizing pink center, retaining its natural juices and delivering a melt-in-your-mouth texture that left me yearning for more. Each mouthful was a symphony of robust beefy goodness, accentuated by the subtle smokiness from the grill. My experience at Outback SteakHouse was nothing short of exceptional. From the inviting ambiance to the mouthwatering cuisine, every aspect surpassed my expectations. If you're craving a steak that's cooked to perfection and served with a side of Aussie hospitality, look no further than Outback SteakHouse. It's a dining destination that promises to satisfy even the most discerning carnivores.“

“Golden Steer never disappoints. The food is always delicious. It is just as good if not better than city steakhouses without the downtown prices. My husband and I have been coming here for years and the quality and service is just as great as ever. Congratulations to Elba for keeping things great if not better than ever! Brought a group of 7 in last week and every single person at the table was beyond impressed. We had fish, steak, lamb chops and more. All were fabulous!“

“The food at the Boulevard was absolutely fantastic. I had the Waygu beef for the first time, and it was melt-in-your-mouth delicious. The wait staff helped my party curate the perfect meal by suggesting side dishes that compliment the main course. We tried crab cakes, bone marrow, and risotto. The table also sampled beets, 50/50 mashed potatoes, and Mac n' cheese. Ted the sommelier suggested an incredible wine to pair with our meals. Finally, desert was awesome! Our party sampled the chocolate cake, key lime pie, and cheese cake... all of which was top-notch! Best drinks and meals ever!Dietary restrictions: Wait staff inquired about any allergies or dietary restrictions.“

“I love Nisos and always rave about it, telling friends and people I meet that they need to go! I was here with my best friend having dinner, and it was her first time at Nisos. At first, the service was excellent. Our waiter allowed us to order off the happy hour menu with just five minutes left to spare. He regularly checked on us and was kind until the end of the dinner when I noticed the price of our drinks was not the price on the happy hour menu. When I politely told him the price was in accurate, he started getting really snarky. Apparently they hadn't updated the online menu prices. I was taking it back by his attitude because I was very nice about asking and understanding that the pricing was off. I don't think I'll ever recommend anyone to go here again and I won't be back any time soon.“

“The New York strip was huge! The flavoring and the cook, were spot on. Although the steak could have been more tender, it tasted delicious so I can't take off any stars for that.Upon seating they served complimentary bread with a tomato sauce and cheese, a small portion of noodle salad, and a slice of cooked bell pepper. The soup that I had before my meal was hot and welcoming. The house merlot went perfectly with the meal.Service was outstanding. Nice experience!“

“I wanted the Cheeseburger with some Spicy fries. I watched him grill it and flip it a few feet away from me. The sizzle crackled and popped to prepare me for that first bite. I smashed the bread a little bit to cut my burger in half properly. The juices escaped the sides and left it's mark on my plate. Some of the fries couldn't escape it's reach.I forgot to take a picture for you, but I promise you (this place makes burgers better than anyone I could think of). When you go, go soon, and please take a picture of your burger for me yes? Oh, and tip the waitress (no less than $10.00).“

“A hidden GEM! The food was quality. The pricing was affordable. The staff were welcoming and proud to work there. They love their jobs and it showed with the quality of service and of course the perfectly cooked steak and other dishes they were delicious. I definitely recommend this place. The only thing I didn't like were statues and figures of pigs on the mantle by the wine. I would definitely get rid of that it takes away from the ambiance. Overall definitely returning and recommending this to friends and family.“

“My family and I used to come here regularly and always enjoyed our time there. The place was always busy, food was good and salad/hot bar always well stocked. Kids always loved the desserts and the soft serve. We hadn't been back in several years (pre COVID) and we're excited to go back, although we certainly expected some changes. The prices have gone up, however I don't fault them for that as everyone everywhere has raised prices! The hot/salad bars were considerably reduced, down to one section only and a section of the dining space was even cordoned off. The kids were most disappointed that there were very few dessert offerings and the soft serve machine was out of order. The food was mostly how we remembered it - chicken was still delicious and my steak and shrimp was good. My husband's country fried steak was thinner than we remembered but still good. My favorite hot bar item - the cornbread - was just as I remembered it and I had to have seconds of that! Overall, the food was a solid 4/5. Not steakhouse quality by any means, but solid family dinner gathering place at a good price.I was a bit shocked at how slow they were, although we went for a late lunch/early dinner time so maybe that's why? But I hope the old loyal customers start coming back to bring it back to what it was!“
