“A treat for all of the senses! My introduction to The Gundis was a Sunday breakfast. What a beautiful feast was laid before me, my husband and a local friend who we were visiting. We ordered the Kurdish breakfast for two plus an order of baklawa crêpes. An array of colorful, tantalizingly-scented dishes soon filled our table. Superb savory and sweet flavors awaited our taste buds. All of us were amazed by the diverse deliciousness. The atmosphere and service were also excellent. It was truly pleasurable to indulge in a breakfast feast like no other. My only complaint is that I live too far to return often. Kudos to this Kurdish delight.“

“I am late writing my review but I had to write it !! I visited provare chicago On july 8th !! From start to finish this restaurant gets 5 starts . The decor was nice and set a perfect atmosphere for a great night . We were greeted immediately upon arrival and seated within 5 minutes of being there . Once seated the wait staff began their introduction's on drinks and popular menu item's. After my party ordered drinks and appetizers a gentleman came over (not sure if he was the manager) and introduce himself and made sure we were having a great experience. Appetizers were amazing!! We couldn't wait for dinner!! Our entrées we just as good if not better ! Everything was cooked and seasoned to perfection! When we didn't think the night could get even better the entire wait staff and the gentleman that came over before stopped and recognized my friend for her birthday and brought over a birthday surprise!! I live 307 miles and this place was definitely worth the drive !!!“

When we sat down, the server brought stuffed mushrooms, which served as a perfect start before the falafel appetizers. “What you want from more of an upscale vegan place. Went in very hungry and tried a lot of things. Don’t sleep on the broccoli appetizer—that was my favorite dish. The ramen was my least favorite—would try a different main next time. It is pricier, but the value for money feels right. We got a ton of dishes and drinks and our bill was under $200 for two people. We didn’t need to order as much as we did, but I only visit Chicago occasionally so it was a treat.“

“OMG! I have missed good take out since going vegan, and this place blew my mind! They had all the classic Chinese rake out dishes. Everything I got tasted exactly like what I remember prior to being vegan. I got sweet and sour chicken, vegan salt & pepper shrimp, wonton soup, and bean paste dessert rice balls. Everything was heavenly and wish I had stuff like this where I lived. I will definitely be back when I'm in the Chicago area again! Heck, I'd travel just for this food! I love that it's located in Chinatown too, which is a very cool area! The menu labeled what wasn't vegan/had egg & dairy.“

A massive portion that also has an appropriate amount of noodles and beef. The broth is pure and so impeccably balanced. It was an absolute pleasure to eat. The vegetable spring rolls are also good. The falafel was so so good and the danish pastry filled with meat and cheese was out of this world delicious. We had something Falafal Lala or something like that. “I love this American restaurant, the food is delicious, satisfying and enjoyable. I especially love the burgers and fries, they are freshly made and very authentic. In addition, the environment here is also very comfortable and spacious, which makes people feel very relaxed and happy. The waiters are also very friendly and welcoming, they always greet guests with a smile and provide many useful tips and recommendations. “Absolutely must dine here!! The food and service was amazing!! We had several in our party who had food intolerances which they graciously accommodated, but we did recommend that they use pastas imported from Italy to avoid some of this. Also their GF noodles are made from corn and rice flours and we suggested to expand their GF noodles to non-corn flour. Other than that the food was beautiful and creative and tasted absolutely delicious!“
