Chinese Restaurants near Darien

“I love noodles. I have ordered every pan fried, steamed, chow fun, mei fun, lo mein from just about every Chinese place in the DG, westmont, Woodridge, Willowbrook, Darien area. The common denominator for most of the places is how they love dumping a ton of onions in the dish with some noodles, a little bit of meat and a scant amount of other veggies. I spend more time picking the creepy little (sometimes not so little) chunks of the filler out than actually eating my precious noodles. Darien Chop Suey gives me none of the little buggers! I always order the pad see eiw and not only are there piles of glorious noodles, but they never skimp on the meat or veggies! Beautiful broccoli and mushrooms and not an onion in sight! It's so yummy. The hubs loves the sesame chicken. The egg rolls are plump and the egg drop soup is divine. Plus, they are the most affordable place in the area! Dang when did Chinese food get so expensive? Very reasonable here though. Super nice on the phone and we've ordered like a dozen times and it's always ready in twenty minutes or so. This is my favorite Chinese place. Darien Chop Suey, more like Darien Chop Yummy fo rizz!!!!“

“We come to this Panda Express frequently, and it’s hands-down the best location in the area. The staff are always quick, friendly, and keep everything spotless. I especially want to give a shout-out to Tommy—he consistently goes above and beyond, serving with a smile and making sure my experience (and my team’s) is top-notch every time. Truly excellent service!“

“The food was fine but the orange chicken did not have the slight spicy taste to it. The fried green beans would good and not heavily fried. Plenty of rice was served with our meal. The hostess and our waitress, Lilian, were very friendly and attentive and provided excellent service.“

The bathrooms needed to be cleaned. Garbage cans were overflowing. We enjoy the food but they need to pay attention to detail.“

“This is our go to take out Chinese place. Flawless. Flavorful, large portions, quick delivery, friendly. Our faves: egg foo yung, Singapore rice noodles, general tsos chicken, sweet and sour chicken, egg rolls, beef chop suey - all wonderful.“

Also tried the cumin lamb--very cumin-y, so only get it if you like that flavor. I was a fan.

The eggplant was also good.

“I always get the same things when I come here (beef fried rice and sometimes orange chicken), but whenever I do, the food is always delicious. It's always seasoned so well that you don't need soy sauce for the rice. I've been to plenty of Chinese food places and not a lot of them can accomplish that. 10/10 every visit.“

We ordered KUNG BAO DELIGHT, and it was very tasty, and the portion was very large.
We also ordered COMBINATION FRIED RICE, and it tasted great, but I asked to make spicy, and they didn't prepare it properly.
We also ordered EGG ROLLS, and they were delicious and a good size, but the CRAB RAGOONS were good, but a little over-fried.

“I have been searching for a new go-to Chinese restaurant since I moved from Evergreen Park to Naperville in June 2023. My go to in EP was Wings in Alsip and I’ve had such a hard time finding a place that is just as good or better than Wings, until New Wok. I ordered online and sent my husband because I don’t drive. The first thing my husband said when he walked in the door was that they were so friendly and welcoming when he went to pick up the order. We crack everything open, get our plates together, and have at it. My son and husband usually have multiple conversations among us, but they loved their dishes so much, they were quiet the entire time they were eating. My daughter loved her crab Rangoon and her fried rice, and their vegetable egg rolls were some of the best I’ve ever had. I have definitely found my go-to Chinese place!“

“We ordered the dinner special last night. This includes an entree, fried rice and an egg roll. I got the shrimp kow, and my husband got mushroom egg foo young. The shrimp kow contained a generous amount of large shrimp and an assortment of veggies in a white sauce, which was highly seasoned. Bok choy, mushrooms,broccoli, peapods, water chestnuts,celery and adorably thinly sliced carrots. I loved it! My husband must have enjoyed the egg foo young...it's all gone! The dinner came in a black takeout container that was divided into two sections.Very nice. The shrimp egg rolls were huge and rolled very fancy! All the food was piping hot and ready for pick up in 15 minutes! The service when ordering and picking up was very courteous and accommodating. Prices were very reasonable!

“I had take-out from Peking Chinese Food last night. It was very good. Ordered Egg-Foo Yung, General Tso's Chicken, Fried Chicken Wings. They have the best General Tso's Chicken around. The sauce is incredible! Perfect mix of spicy and sweet. And the Fried Chicken Wings are very tasty, cooked to perfection.“

“Their barbecued pork and roast duck are my favorites. It's a pity that every time I want to buy one, I only buy half of one. It's hard to believe it's such a coincidence. A little weird. Since I can only buy half of one and it’s hard to deal with it, I won’t consider buying it now.“

“This is my favorite Chinese food in the area due to the portion sizes and flavor. I usually order orange chicken, general taos chicken, and sweet and sour chicken. All very good. It is located in a strip mall so easy access in and out. They will deliver to GE and Lombard for sure. Not sure of other areas but worth asking. The delivery driver is always very nice. The location has 2-3 small tables so it is mostly for takeout. Last time I called in and it was ready for pickup in 20 minutes. Highly recommend.“

“In this food court Liang’s Chinese Cafe had the longest wait line by Asians and it was worth tasting authentic Chinese food. Their noodles were popular. I got to try their spicy pig stomach which was definitely spicy but that was to be expected. As for the food? Not bad, as the Chinese say. I look forward to coming back and trying other dishes.“

I asked, contactless pay app already open on my phone. Dude had me walking out, no joke, 30 seconds later, already half-way through eating that delicious crispy tubular snack.

I craved an egg roll and panda, as always, delivers a 10 out 10 experience. I will ride and die for panda until they pry the last share of this company from my cold dead fingers.“

“The food here is really good. We have gotten it twice for takeout and have been pleasantly surprised both times with how good the food is. We got the white rice. The main dishes we got were the Mongolian Beef and the orange chicken. I think we got some General Tso’s chicken as well. All of the food was good and I would recommend it to anyone.“

They even brought out the sushi out on a fancy boat plate. All in all I highly recommend this place and plan on coming back whenever I'm craving good sushi or the other things on the menu.“

“We recently visited for my bday on 5/31. The decor is beautiful and the service was stellar! Everyone was attentive and friendly. Our hibachi chef was amazing. He was extremely entertaining and super accommodating. He made our hibachi dinner experience the best we have ever had. The food was perfect and great portion sizes. My son even ordered Spider rolls and said they were amazing! My two teens and 1yr old enjoyed it immensely! Thank you all for the great celebration. We will be back for sure!!!
