“This upscale bar and restaurant has amazing drinks, delicious appetizers, outstanding entrées with sides and desserts to match; and a phenomenal staff/atmosphere. We were greeted by Simmi, a very gracious and warm hostess. Simmi made us feel right at home and we seated right away as we did have a reservation. We ordered a salad which was delicious with homemade dressing and crunchy croutons, the fillet which had a scrumptious tomato jelly topping and the meat was tender, juicy and scrumptious. The mac & cheese was mouthwatering, yummy and to die for. We were so stuffed that we skipped dessert but I have been there before and they are incredible. Our waiter was outstanding and very attentive. My favorite steak restaurant USED to be Texas Roadhouse however, it was and still is a hit or miss as the Dallas fillet would be raw and still mooing or dry and tough. The price at restaurant House of Bourbon match the amazing taste flavor and and is worth every bit of the upscale price. If I’m going eat a steak, I want it to be perfect flavorful juicy and tender and that is what I received at the 1933 House of Bourbon. “First time! Gorgeous evening to sit on the patio. Patio ambiance was upscale casual.

Service: Server (Mackenzie) was perfect - personalized recommendations, quick turnaround on requests, always there when needed and invisible when not needed.

Starters and drinks: My only criticism of the meal is that our caesar dressing was not chilled (as though it had sat out before being poured) but the flavor was perfectly peppery and the romaine was crisp. Our drinks were an old fashioned (garnished with cherry & orange and made strong) and an espresso martini (3-bean garnish but not particularly strong).

Entrees: one filet mignon with asparagus (cooked to just the right an of crisp) and baked potato and one peppered salmon on rice. Both entrees were the highest quality, prepared to perfection; I suspect that anything on the menu would exceed expectations.

Service (continued): Teammate - name unknown - kept our waters topped off and discarded dishes cleared from the table without interrupting. Five stars.“

“Joe K is one of the bigger breakfast restaurant's in the Alton area. A lot of seating, usually busy but not overly crowded. Staff is very friendly and attentive. Food is good with a few exceptional dishes like the breakfast pony. Breakfast pony is a biscuit with your choice of meat & egg, hash browns layered topped with sausage gravy. Delicious. Only gave a 4 star because the food came out cold.“

“The Cabin at Judy Creek is one of those places that just *feels right* the moment you walk in. Whether you are heading out for a laid-back date night, catching up with friends, or just want a chill spot to grab a drink after work, this place nails it.

First off, the vibe is awesome. The building has a cozy, rustic look with tons of warm wood and soft lighting. Its big enough to feel lively but still has that tucked-away, hidden gem feel. If the weathers good, grab a table outside the patio is beautiful and perfect for a long evening of hanging out.

The food? Totally hits the spot. Their smoked meats and sandwiches are next-level, and the sides arent just filler everything is fresh and full of flavor. The appetizers are great for sharing (bacon-fat popcorn is a must-try), and the entrees come in generous portions thatll actually fill you up.

Drinks are another win. They keep a solid craft beer list and pour some excellent cocktails. The bartenders know their stuff and are happy to help you find something new.

And the staff ties it all together friendly, quick, and genuinely happy to have you there.

Bottom line: great food, great drinks, great people. Five stars, no question The Cabin is the kind of place youll keep coming back to.“

“Normally, I support your business but you guys are going to make someone sick. I just got a box of chicken that could only eat the outside because, it's not done. I took a bite of a leg and it tasted funny. So, I looked at it and it was red and pink. gross If, I get sick you'll be hearing from me. I'm so disappointed“

“my 4yr old grandson and I go there as often as we can. Great service and great food. Definitely beats McDonald's were he usually wants to go. He eats biscuits and gravy sausage links and fried potatoes there. when before we went there he wouldn't eat anything but McDonald's. so glad to have this place to go to. “I won’t say I don’t recommend as we’ve been there a couple times before and had a great experience! Last night neither of us enjoyed what we ordered, our fault, we both went against what we were going to originally order….we ate it, it’s fine, you live and learn. Our waitress is what left a bad taste. It’s like she instantly had something in her head about us or we weren’t one of her regulars that she had to cater to as she was sitting, laughing and chatting with those around us. Not friendly, short answers and would set our drinks down after being told thank you and just walk away. The only time there was even a hint of friendliness is when it came time to pay.“

“Chubby's grill and garage is a wonderful place to grab a big juicy burger, fries, and appetizers. Great food specials weekly, as well as drink specials. It is family friendly. The staff are all super friendly people. The owner is a stand up guy, and you can tell he really cares about his customers and he treats his employees with love and respect like any great owner would. I would HIGHLY reccomend this place to ANYONE looking to have some great food, drinks, and fun. The hours are 11am to 11pm, kitchen is 11am to 10pm. this place is an absolute gem 💎.“

“Had a child's birthday party here. Is was so much fun. Really reasonably priced. Great pizza. I was actually surprised at how good the pizza was. ? I didn't plan on bowling, the kids had a blast, and I ended up bowling with some of the adults. I haven't bowled in years. It was so fun. The service was really good. They kept on top of the party, even when adding bowlers, they made sure we got the pizza and pitchers that were included with the party. Super impressed, will be back for sure.“

“If you like local dive bars and pizza this is the place to go. Their pizza is the bomb ? The staff is friendly and most of the regulars are too. Lol. They also have an AMI jukebox, an ATM machine, several TV screens to watch sports games, and video gambling machines. They have a back patio with seating for smokers and they usually have heat out back when they remember to refill the propane tanks. It’s usually just one bartender waiting on everyone and making the pizzas in their pizza oven. Drink a cold one and enjoy the atmosphere while you wait. ??“

Food was top tier. Fresh hot and directions followed. Bread was buttery crisp on the edges and soft. Onions and peppers sautéed perfectly and meat and juice delicious. Whoever is the cook here, please give him a raise for the 4th. He deserves it.“

“One of the best Bar & Grills in Illinois. Plenty of great food, great service, and excitable crowd. If you come at the right time, you can catch a band. Lots of TVs. Lots of seating.

The only logical complaint is the noise level, which can get a bit loud at times but not overly too much.
