“Worth the wait and must try! Beautiful and unique venue in the unassuming town of Des Plaines. Our server was kind and welcoming, food was delicious, drinks were fun and tasty. The only two items that were less than ideal, the horrible acoustics (incredibly loud) and although it was too on my list to try, the chicken shawarma rolls were underwhelming. Even with those two items, the great service and food quality it's still worth the 5 star review. We sat upstairs, which very much appreciated, being out of the hustle and bustle of the downstairs. Looking forward to trying the brunch and the outside patio... overlooking the water.“

“Everything I have ever purchased from here has exceeded my expectations and when I bring donuts to work, everyone raves how good they are. Other than sub par chain donut places in the city, there are almost none that I know of in the NW side of Chicago that are as good as Deerfield's. I do not mind the drive bc I know Im getting the best donuts.“
“OUTSTANDING!! From the day we had the tasting to the day of the wedding, we were blown away by the quality of the food, service, and presentation. Our guests were raving about how fantastic the food was! Not only did they say it was the BEST wedding food they've ever had, but some of the best food ever. Our guests were given the option between the Herb Rubbed Beef Tenderloin, Grilled French Chicken Breast, or Hand Rolled Ricotta Gnocchi. I am so glad I had the option of tasting all the dishes because it would've been a shame to miss out on all the awesome flavors. We worked with Lorena and she was fantastic! Not only did she provide great advice on selecting the courses, but she also gave great recommendations for little ways to make an impact without going over budget. She was professional, patient, and creative. You're the BEST Lorena! Pricing may be a tad higher than some of the other caterers, but have no doubt, you get what you pay for with FFT.“
“Bravo! Catering by Michael's helped me in every way for the planning of my late husband's memorial luncheon and it was amazingly delicious. They worked with me closely on the menu, made suggestions, listened to my concerns and even walked me back from the "ledge" a few times and ensured all would work out and it did. “The food here is great. I love the caldo de pollo, and it is my go-to whenever anyone in my family is feeling under the weather. The tortas, burritos, and tacos here are good too. Haven’t tried anything else on the menu yet. The food is always hot and ready for pickup within the time frame estimated.Only downside is that trying to back out of their parking lot on the street can be tough when traffic is busy.“
“Coffee, bagels, biscuits, cinnamon rolls and a fruit bowl. What's not to love? But, actually... the best was the service. I went with my mom who gets around with a walker and every single employee went out of their way to ensure she could get in and out of the door, and get every carb she was craving. The coffee was refilled promptly and we even got lemons for our water when we asked. The only issues we ran into was the bathroom wasn't easily accessible because there were no bars to hold on to, and they serve honey in tiny little packets which are probably more sanitary but difficult to open.“

“A well-needed casual cafe in Lake Forest outside of the typical Starbucks offerings. Great size, nice patio in the warmer months. Menu is pretty large. Coffee, smoothies, and pastries are fantastic (the cookies are quite decadent). Service is great - while you order at the counter, your food is brought to your table (and cleaned up afterwards)!My only gripe is that the entrees are pretty bland. Bagels are flavorless, sandwiches need more spreads/seasoning. It's like the don't use salt/butter or something.They are fine, but quite expensive for being mediocre. I guess you are paying for the service more than the food. 2 coffees, 2 breakfast sandwiches, and 1 pastry to share between my wife and I was close to $50 before tip...“
“We just had Green Spoon Kitchen at our home tonight for a small dinner party (8 people) to celebrate my in-laws’50th wedding anniversary. I can’t say enough wonderful things about our evening! The chef and server were the epitome of professional, kind, thorough and thoughtful. The food was absolutely incredible and all the foodies in the group said the entree was the best they’d ever had. The food was beautifully presented and delicious. The meal paced perfectly and our kitchen was left immaculate. I will also add that they were easy to communicate with prior to the event and immediately responsive to all our questions and requests. At the end of our event our guests were asking for their business cards. We can’t wait to figure out when we can hire them again.“
“Had an amazing experience with Schaul’s for our wedding. We didn’t want the traditionally catered wedding and they ran with the challenge… They got every detail we asked for from the plates to the cutlery. We ended up with a BBQ buffet that still managed to be classy and organized. The staff was professional and even fun, shout out to Janet and Matt, especially! “Best ice cream around! You gotta love the unique flavors- they've got everything under the sun in a combination! The chocolate fudge brownie is a smash with both my kids and me. My wife likes "Phish food"... sounds weird as heck but it's so good! The staff were quick and easy, too. There are a few tables in there, so be wary if ya got a big group and you come at a crowded hour. But I've never had a problem! And the ice cream is absolutely delicious!“

“This catering outfit does a fabulous job. I recently worked with them for a wedding shower I threw at my home. They were terrific in every way-responsive, helpful with menu ideas and amounts, and all of the food was delicious. They dropped off the food the morning of the shower and returned to retrieve their baskets the following week. I would use them again without hesitation.“
