“I was there for a few minutes. I’m not a drinker or someone you usually find at a bar but I love the hometown familiarity. Many people I grew up with were there. The owner is a fantastic, tough as nails, iconic type of woman. We need more business owners and entrepreneurs like her. I’ll write more when I have more to say! I believe Sue & her establishment deserve a full 5-star review.“

“My husband and I were on an anniversary road trip from Tennessee and decided to come to St Louis to see the Arch way. We decided to eat at Ace’s Smokestaq for an early dinner! Antonio and his family are so amazing and the food was absolutely on point! We felt like family! “We were in town (from the Twin Cities) for the 2025 President's Day Classic, and had Hogtown Smokehouse cater a team (and parents) dinner for 30 in our hotel. Rico was fantastic in helping us out. Quick to respond to calls and emails. Gracious, and just wonderful altogether... and that's just the service. The food? The empty pans, told the story. Brisket, Turkey and Pork for meats. Mac & cheese, potato salad and beans for sides. EVERYTHING was amazing! I never right reviews, but Rico and staff deserve this one. If you're reading this, don't hesitate to give them a try. Thanks again, Rico!“

“We just went for the first time tonight & hate we’ve missed out on going sooner! We are from Southern Indiana & it’s going to be hard to find anything to compare at home! Greg, Louis, and Eddie who were working the smoker when we left were so nice, told us all the ins and outs of the place, and truly take pride in their work. That pride is reflected in the delicious meal you’ll get! 10/10 recommend!“

“Best BBQ Brisket I ever ate! We got the 14lb box for Easter. Our family loved it! So convenient and easy. Such a great flavor and food was promptly delivered with a smile. The the aujus with the Brisket is superb! We also got mac and cheese and baked beans and bread. Loved it all! Looking forward to trying more of his food options. Amazing Job! Thank you so much!“

“If you're looking for something other than Big Mama's bbq, this is the place to be. Walk in, friendly service there's a bunch of cake right there when you walk in the door the Pitmaster Kevin very Hands-On very inviting makes you feel like you're part of the family thread. If you need a place to go that's right off 255 or if you're coming from Belleville into the Boogie this is the place. Get you some good food some great sides and be on your way!“

“First time there the food was really good I got a double cheeseburger, my mom and her friend got a whole Jack plate too and it was really good they didn't really add no salt to the whole Jack plate though so, my son got a Philly cheese steak and he only ate half of it so wow and he can eat“

“My food was delicious I usually get the snoot and Rib tip combo is so delicious it's always fresh it's real barbecue from off the grill you can taste the smoke flavor also like the potato salad and spaghetti yep my s n o o t s is always crunchy rib tips always t e n d e r I think the next thing I'm going to try is the Char-Broil hamburger“

“Listen!!! I ordered the snoot sandwich!! Yeah buddy… it was really good!! It was just the right amount crunchy and the sauce was crazy good!! I do wish that it would have been chopped down into smaller chunks.. but that’s only because my fat self wanted to have a way to eat it faster.. lol… definitely will be going back.. I can’t wait to try the polish and/or ribs!!! 10/10“

“I came by yesterday with a friend who had never been. I got a rib tip combo and potato salad. I ate some for lunch, went by a friend house, she ate some, ate for dinner and I will eat the rest for lunch. My friend couldn't stop talking about how fresh and food it was.“

“A little too small for me, but I always still find myself going there ... ? The food has been famous for years, if you are down for a challenge, go there and order the big mama burger , it is the most massive thing that I have ever encountered, and it's always good! The atmosphere around the bar side , is always a dope vibe, if you are looking for a nostalgic good time, I suggest you go and place a visit.“

“When in St. Louis have the St. Louis style ribs. We had a full rack with the macaroni cheese. The rub and sauce were very good. The ribs were delicious and the meat just fell off the bone, perfectly cooked. The Mac and cheese was very good. Service was good but it didn’t seem like any of the staff that we saw looked happy, they were all kinda frowning. But the food is great.“

“Up in the area working and was tired of all the bland food around. Found JJS on the net and had to try them out. The tendernism on the ribs was on point. The sauce was hitting and the green beans had that down home taste. Definitely coming back“
