“Pretty decent. Pretty safe with the new safety measures put up now. Menu selection is a bit small compared to others, but a good amount of choices for me. Travis Scott burger with some fries and a water to wash it down is pretty good. Would recommend.“

“The dunkin donut here is pretty good though depending on the time of day your wait time can vary. But when there isn't too much traffic they generally get out your order as fast as possible. They also get your order accurate too. If you ask for extra mocha or extra anything they'll do it (for extra cost) but they won't forget.“

“I come here because they do pour-overs. Really Good pour-overs. (If they're busy, multi-tasking staff may miss the correcting timing so the extractions are suboptimal and may alter the taste in the negative.) But still a great coffee - I'm nitpicking.

I enjoy this more than the other places in Libertyville because the barista's really know their products - every one I've talked with has been able to discuss each coffee with knowledge that helps me learn. And oh so friendly, nice people who work there.

Pastry choices are limited, so-so in taste, and too sugary for me (donuts, muffins) They could use some nice croissants, chocolate croissants, morning buns, etc. If they partnered with Hewn Bakery it would be perfect. (I will often get coffee to go, and bring my own Hewn to eat outside at the benches.)“

“I tried a coffee from here for the first time. Elena is so sweet and I LOVEEEE her accent. But she truly is so nice and sweet and I love that (i think i have a crush on her). Apart from her the coffee was SOOOO good. I was feeling low on energy so I needed something and this coffee was amazing. You can tell she is passionate about what she does and that makes me very happy to see. It’s safe to say i won’t be getting coffee from anyone else bc I love every but about it.“

“So happy we found this gem of a coffee shop / restaurant while visiting the area! The white mocha I enjoyed was amazing and our breakfasts were fantastic. After talking with the owner, we learned the building is over 100 years old and it was a filling station. They have transformed the building into a very quaint location that is very welcoming! “If Cheers was in Lake Bluff, it would be Prairie. Each member of the staff has a unique and inviting personality who makes each visit feel personal, inviting, and small town. The regulars are split between morning and evening hours, with a few floaters. We welcome folks to the community, catch up on happenings, and bring a little joy each day. Mandy, the chef, compiles an amazing array of food items, from cinnamon rolls and coffee cakes, to casseroles and egg sandwiches during the morning, and a variety of sandwiches in the afternoons. The spot has outdoor seating on the sidewalk, as well as a dedicated secluded covered alley space with ample seating and ambience. Summertime events include covered alleyway cookouts and inclusion of other local businesses for special bites. Evenings can feature a quiet bar, karaoke, or live music. With a recently announced addition of Jeff Urso, a local restauranteur, to the ownership, 2024 is anticipated to be a great year for Prairie. Would highly recommend checking out this local gem.“

“I've been here three times in the past year and have been wowed each time. The employees are always nice and accommodating. The food is perfect each time, the bathrooms and restaurant itself are very clean, and the space is welcoming! That's saying a lot from someone who worked in a lot of restaurants over the years and can easily spot issues. Bagels are chewy, thaw nicely after being in my freezer for a bit, and make excellent sandwiches. Thank you for the Windex and cleaning up my water bottle catastrophe ;)“

“A hidden gem, hole in the wall, donut shop… Nostalgic, because this place definitely used to be a Dunkin’, and maintains the 90’s Dunkin’ vibe like a time capsule. However, their donuts are better. In my experience, they’ve never been stale. Always delicately fried and perfectly sweet. Mexican foodies can also find pan dulce.“

“Everytime we come to this mall, this is one of first things we get. We saw a sign saying they had three variety flavors of horchata drinks and we jsut had to give it a try. Our go to is the Cafe horchata but you can get vanilla or chocolate as well if coffee isn't your go too. I've had them all and they are all delicious.“

“My 4 year old son loved it here!!! He was so proud to have designed a donut (which was actually just the cookies and cream option from the menu) but he watched them make it and decorate it and then showed it to everyone he passed. He said they were the BEST donuts he’s ever had! I had the cold brew with sweet cream which was solid.“

“This Starbucks location went above and beyond for me the other day. I had been to a different Starbucks location, ordered a non coffee drink, took one sip and knew it had coffee in it, but they denied it so I left and started my drive. Took a few more sips and couldn't take it because I really do not like coffee and really wanted something nice to sip on while I drove so I decided to try again at this Lake Forest location. I explained what happened just to make sure I hadn't accidentally ordered a coffee drink ... they went above and beyond to make sure I had a perfect drink and were super friendly and generous about it. It had been an exhausting week for me and the delicious drink along with the excellent, positive experience at this Waukegan Road Lake Forest Starbucks really made my day!!!“

I just wish they would get the free refill program correct for gold card members. I get the snarky face from the manager and a couple others when asking for my free refill. They keep telling me I need to buy a regular coffee to get a refill when in fact Starbucks web site says get a free refill regardless of the original beverage.“

“Delicious boba tea! I had the Coconut milk tea with boba and my husband had the mango fruit with boba. This was our first time here! It was busy when we walked in with lines for those wanting to get there bubble / boba tea. There was a great menu of options to choose from and a nice sitting area to relax, and enjoy the drinks. Staff were quick and busy filling in the orders that were coming in. This is located in Chinatown near the Chinatown square. Great spot and delicious boba teas! We will definitely come back when we visit this area again!“

“The first thing you notice is the farm house decor. The menu is American fare with a hint of some southern dishes. The staff is great considering it can get busy after 8:30 am. There’s plenty of parking and weather permitting. They have outside seating.“

“Family decided to go to Dunkin after church. Originally we went to the Dunkin closer to our house that is on N. Lewis. Customer service was horrible there so we left and came to this one. We were greeted when we came in, and the food was delicious. I only put three stars for service because the lady that attended us was slow. Physically slow. So slow that my daughter who is 11 was saying watching her was like she was in slow motion. Like, her movements were very slow, so that you kinda understand what I'm mean. I'm not sure if she is maybe developmentally delayed, and if she is,she was amazing. Or maybe she didn't have coffee yet. Not sure. It's like it took her a moment to register what was being said. At any rate, other than that, (and that wasn't that bad, really) definitely 5 stars for the rest.“

“I tried the honey lavender matcha latte, and it was very delicious. I'm a huge matcha girly, and the amount/flavor of matcha did not disappoint- it was a dark green but still was very creamy. It was understandably sweet, which wasn't to my taste, but I did love the honey and lavender flavoring. I ordered a hot drink because the mall is cold, and the temperature is perfect- hot but not enough to burn my taste buds. Now I can comfortably sit down and study. The only thing is that it's very open to the mall (like, it's giving open floor design) so there's something weirdos walking by and being rowdy. It's not really a cozy café, but it's still very aesthetic and sleek (like all TLJ's).“

My wedding was scheduled for August 8,2020. But due to Covid-19, we unfortunately had to cancel. Janice was extremely compassionate, understanding and flexible during the whole process. Sweet Home Gelato was the most compassionate and flexible vendor. It is not easy to cancel a wedding, unfortunately many vendors were not as accommodating. Janice immediately offered a refund, date change or gift card for the deposit. Sweet Home Gelato was under no circumstance required to issue a refund. “Came in today for a coffee to see a man being an absolute idiot to the girl behind the counter.
This man sat there and nit picked everything she was doing.
He proceeded to nit pick how the machine brewed espresso and that he wanted his coffee exactly 118 degrees.

This girl with pink and green hair was killing it! If someone did that to me I probably would have flown over that counter,

“This past March marked the very 1st time trying this Kung Fu Tea and just like other locations I've been to, same consistently delicious bubble tea.

Pretty sure Lake Forest never had any bubble tea parlors or if there's any Asian/oriental restaurants that serve bubble tea but I'm guessing this place is the town's 1st parlor.

Bubble tea/boba is the in-thing now and is rapidly growing all across the country. Anytime a new boba shop opens in the area, I can't wait to try it.

Friendly service at still reasonable prices in a new spiffy clean venue in beautiful downtime LF and I hope this place gets oodles of business and stays open for decades to come.“
