“I’ve been eager to try Mortadeli since it first opened, and after hearing so many rave reviews, I finally had the chance to stop by for lunch yesterday. Let me tell you, everything everyone says about this place is spot on! First off, the food is absolutely delicious. Everything on the menu is so tempting, it was hard to choose, but I went with the meatball sub and pasta salad. As someone whose grandmother made the best meatball sandwiches, my expectations were high – but Mortadeli’s version did not disappoint! It was fantastic. The pasta salad was also amazing, fresh, and perfectly seasoned. The atmosphere at Mortadeli is incredibly inviting – it strikes the perfect balance between classy and cozy. The staff are very friendly, and you can tell they genuinely care about making your experience special. The service was top-notch, with attentive staff and quick delivery of our food. One of the owners even took the time to chat with us a bit. Another pleasant surprise was the parking – I had my doubts at first, but we found a spot just around the corner with no problem at all. Overall, the experience was fantastic, and I’ll definitely be back. Mortadeli is a must-visit!“

“Came here on Saturday. They made my Italian sub perfectly. I've had plenty of Jersey Mike's subs over the years. This was the first time the ingredients all made it onto the sandwich and were perfectly placed. Normally it looks like they apply the toppings with a shotgun. John was the worker that built what I called the absolute best Jersey Mike's sub I've ever had. Great job!“

“The food is tasty but I was shocked by the quantity of meat in my gyros plate. It was just a gyros sandwich in a container with fries and fixings. Everywhere else I get a gyros plate it has enough meat for 2 or 3 sandwiches.the subs seemed to be lacking meat as well. Again first time getting it there and was just surprised.“

“Jersey Mike's -Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois. We are super picky about where we get sub sandwiches. Jersey Mike's fits the bill every time. Oakbrook Terrace is our favorite location because of Alicia. The food and smiles she serves is top notch. I'll add some photos in the future but for now, trust me the sandwiches are filled beautifully. Alicia runs the show here from top to bottom. I can't say enough about her fantastic presence. People have unlimited places to purchase sandwiches --- it really helps bring in customers when they can expect to see a long time employee there with such great energy.. We love eating here and I highly recommend.“

“Ive been to almost alll Submmarines but this one takes it for the win! They were so welcoming and friendly and super clean for a small sandwich shop. Not only do they have a wide variety for subs and add ons but they also sell hot dogs , italian beefs , burgers and pizza puffs as well as so many side options from fries to mac n cheese bites! Give it a try and you wont regret it! Super clean , very nice family people 10/10And at the end the nice gentleman gave my daughter a free lollipop! “This is a great dining and go restaurant. There are so many different selections for pretty much anyone. They had gyros and sub sandwiches hamburgers and hotdogs, chicken and salad. Lots to choose from. There is seating inside and plenty of parking easy to get in and off of the restaurant from route 45.“

“I make it a point to visit when Im in the area. I've been coming here for years. The sandwiches ? are good. This visit I did notice the bread was a little drier than usual. All in all, my king size roast beef was delicious. I will ask for more oil & vinegar.

Parking: It's going to be a tight fit. You'll be better off using the drive-thru, IMO. Intercom does NOT work. You have to order your food at the window.“

“Always a must stop on my way to or from the Brookfield Zoo. I don't live in the area any more, but when I visit I always try to hit up Mr. Submarine. I don't know what it is, because at face value the ingredients are just OK. But when you get that shredded lettuce soaked with vinegar and oregano, and the not quite sure what kind of cheese it is, mixed with a true sub roll and solid deli meat. It's a beautiful thing. And the grumpy guy behind the counter, he's been there for 30 years. Different faces over the years, but it's the same guy. Just part of the experience. Never change Mr. Submarine.“

“Asked for "everything except no mayo" on my sandwich. Poor lady started by putting mayo on it (probably out of habit since most folks want mayo) before realizing her mistake - even before I did. She apologized profusely and had them remake me a sandwich. It was literally the most minor inconvenience in the world that cost me a whopping 2 minutes of added wait time, but they still snuck a free chocolate chip cookie in my bag. Completely unnecessary but much appreciated! Yay for people who actually care about their customers (even though, again, in this case, it barely even qualified as an inconvenience to me, lol). “This is genuinely one of the best Jimmy John's around. The evening shift employees (two female workers) are very cordial & friendly. I get off of work late & always appreciate a well-crafted sandwich for dinner, and they always get the order right. The app is convenient, I have been utilizing it for years. Some JJ locations are a hit or miss but I never had an issue here. My experience is anecdotal after all, but consistency undeniably counts for something! 🥖

It's a pretty great place to get your grub on and yet the prices have gone up recently especially with meat and the taxes are much more than they were even with the nice atmosphere of a small simple restaurant if you want to pay a little more for your food then go for it they still make tasty sandwiches hamburgers and hotdogs my personal favorite is the Polish with the submarine the only downside is I'll slow it takes for the order to come and the staffers don't really take sanitize a bit seriously that they don't wear that masks when preparing the food all in all who is delicious and yet not perfect!“

“I moved here from philly and have been looking for the closest thing to a hoagie you can get in Chicago. This is the closest I've come so far. I asked if the owner was from Philly and they said yes.My one critique is I asked for hot peeppers hoping for long hots and they put giardiniera, but that was partially my mistake.The rolls could be a bit better, they're very close to that philly/nj roll, and I would say closer than anything else I've found in chicago so far, but they're not quite the same yet.Other reviewers mentioned that they make the bread here in house. I asked if they did and they said no, so I'm not sure why the other reviewers said that.Overall a great hoagie in Chicago! Definitely recommend“

“Came on Christmas Day, lady behind the counter was very kind. Greeted my boyfriend and I right as we walked in. And proceeded to make the most scrumptious, deliciously packed subs. I definitely would recommend.
