“I was feeling under the weather today so I placed a delivery order of Chicken Egg Foo Young. It arrived within 15 minutes and the driver was very friendly. I want to say this was some of the best Chicken Egg Foo Young that I have had in years! Lots of big chunks of chicken in it and the rice. My Chihuahua was fighting me for some chicken lol! What ever you’re doing keep it up!! Was pleasantly surprised that it was so good and fresh!! Five stars!!“

You thought you've had it all, that Chicago couldn't possibly have yet ANOTHER banger in Wicker Park, but i'll be damned, here we are. The cracklin' shrimp is so well done, I would eat a bowl of it. Lemony, spicy, deep fried deliciousness. The half chicken was among the best I've ever had (whatever that green sauce was, was KILLING IT) not to mention my wife's elote lasagna?!?! “This is one of my favorite vegan Mexican restaurants. Chef Patricia is so sweet. I almost always get the Carne Asada burrito but I’ve loved everything I have tried. The nachos & tacso are so good too. The peanut butter cookies are probably the best I’ve ever had. I love the chocolate mini Bundt cake.“

“I loved this place we went to for breakfast. I especially want to give a separate shout-out to the waiter Furkan. His smiling face, attentiveness, and positive energy warm you up the moment you walk in. He brought the orders quickly and completely, and he kept checking on the table without ever being intrusive. It’s clear that he truly enjoys his job.

The venue itself is both clean and very spacious. The breakfast items are fresh, the presentation is careful, and the flavors are perfectly on point. With hot tea, freshly baked bread, and a rich Turkish breakfast spread, you start the day in the best way.

“I tried a slice of their rainbow cake at Penelope's Vegan Taqueria a couple of years ago, and honestly, it was the best cake I’ve ever had. I’m not usually a big cake person myself, but this one completely changed my mind. It wasn’t overly sweet, and it was incredibly moist.
I planned to save the slice for when I got back home since I live four hours away. I ended up eating the whole thing before I even left Chicago. If that doesn’t say how amazing it is, I don’t know what does.“

So glad I found BBP&B for their vegan options, namely February's vegan raspberry pie, March's vegan blueberry mint (I know it sounds a bit odd, but you get this extra hint of freshness from the mint and not a mint taste competing with the fruit. I don't even like mint), and the vegan ginger molasses cookies. You have to pre-order vegan pies >48 hours in advance and it is definitely worth it.“
