“I recently visited Kong Dog at North Riverside Mall and had a fantastic experience thanks to Angelo, the cashier. He was incredibly helpful, recommending some of his favorite items, which made my selection much easier. I selected the Hot Cheeto Kong Dog this time, but I will definitely try the Churro Kong Dog the next time I visit the North Riverside mall.

“We had a fabulous dinner last night at Chicago Kalbi with Cummins Peru, Komat'su, and the VPs from Antimina copper mine.

Such a great place, where you cook the wagyu & kobe beef at your table. The food was delicious ?

Isao Tozuka, the chef and his wife Chiyo-san, are fabulous hosts, very friendly, and really happy to help and show you how things are do e.

“Went on a Saturday night around 6:45 without a reservation so they only had room to sit at the bar. Arturo was our bartender/server. He was so attentive and gave great recommendations. The vibe and food was great. The bartender made the experience even better :)“

“The food is really good here! I got the bulgogi kimbap and hot stone pot bibimbap. Everything was delicious and the people working there were very nice. The only minor con I have is I'm used to having more traditional ingredients in my kimbap like carrots, spinach, meat, eggs, yellow radish but they used lettuce and I think beets. It was still very good though!“

“I've been to many Korean BBQ's within the states and I have to say this was the best customer service we received. This place is pricey for the small portions you get. I'd definitely come back for the service tho.“

New find by Western and North. Lovely eatery with very limited menu and only 2 side dishes accompanying the main.
The taste was good and very nicely spiced. The size of the portions was good. The taste was very good.

“Parachute is one of my top ten favorite restaurants I’ve ever been lucky enough to enjoy! I think a lot about Chef Kim’s gem lettuce and fish sauce salad, I still Remember it four years later! I can’t wait to go back and to check out Wherewithall!!“

“A very no frills, owner-couldn’t-give-a-heck-about-you type experience and it was awesome. I got the beef brisket soup and it came with a side of kimchi, radish kimchi, rice, and green onions. The soup when it arrives is pretty mild but they give you everything you need to add some flavor. The brisket was good, the kimchi was amazing, and the tea (I think Barley?) was also great. Definitely more of a winter spot but not terrible on a summer day either! It is cash only with a no-fee ATM inside.“

“Cho Sun Ok is a hidden gem for authentic Korean BBQ in Lincoln Square. I stopped by around 1 PM on a Saturday for lunch and ordered the bulgogi and galbi gui. The bulgogi was tender and flavorful, and the galbi gui was juicy with a perfect char. The banchan were plentiful and varied, adding a nice touch to the meal. The staff was attentive, and the atmosphere was cozy. Only downside? It can get a bit busy, so be prepared to wait a bit.“

It’s a shame the five star rating has become so overinflated because, this isn’t a 5 Star place, but I guess it does five stars at doing what it’s supposed to do. This is a very simple, very basic Chinese restaurant that serves really good food. It’s never going to win an award, but you don’t always want those places. Anyway, we had a great meal there, the service was a bit of a hoot. Our meals were delivered at least 10 minutes apart, but the waitstaff was so sweet and so friendly you just couldn’t be upset over it. Plus, it was just me and my wife so we both nibbled at the first meal before hers got there.

Anyway, if you’re looking for fine dining, this ain’t it but if you’re looking for a good meal, then this would be the place to go if you’re in the area.“

“It’s a mall food court where every table is dirty and rocks so not a great atmosphere. However the guys working at Kong Dog are very friendly and efficient and they were happy to answer questions and make suggestions. I have never had a Kong Dog but I give it 10/10 and the mango lemonade was delicious combo too! I’ll be back for sure.“

“okay I am looking at the other reviews and the only thing that is a lie is large portions! there is no large portion! this is probably the smallest lunch special that cost close to $15 that I've ever had at any Chinese restaurant ever. you can go to a buffet and get all you can eat for $15. definitely a sample plate or portion for a child. I ordered to go and looked inside the container and was like WOW! NO I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.
