“After 3pm on Monday through Wednesday I believe it is they have half of bagels. So we went and got bagels! The bagels here are decent and I like the cream cheese and tuna options. They sell Leonard's bakery goodies, mostly important the coffee cake. Yummmmmmm!!“
“My new favorite restaurant in Northbrook!! Just ordered take out here yesterday, we got egg rolls, potstickers, shrimp & vegetable tempura, and the chicken pad thai. Everything was DELICIOUS. Very flavorful, good portions, and I loved that nothing was super greasy or heavily salted like most places!!“
“Honestly a very good location to dine in. The service here was great and quick, with the employees being super friendly and charismatic when it came to taking our orders and letting us know when our food would be ready. The dining room is super huge, and there are many booths and tables to choose from. The place itself has a very welcoming vibe to it, and it's a wonderful place to eat peacefully while also taking in the nice view the windows provide. Although I haven't been here since July of 2022, I'd love to come back again some time in the future see how much this location has changed. Great place overall.“
“Cafe Alif is just a find! Their lagman is simply divine - rich in flavor, juicy and very tasty. Be sure to try it! But that's not all - the service here is at the highest level. Orders are processed very quickly, and the staff is always friendly and ready to help with any questions. The atmosphere of the cafe is also pleasant and cozy, an ideal place for a pleasant lunch or dinner with friends or family. Overall, this cafe definitely deserves 5 stars for its exquisite lagman, excellent service and wonderful atmosphere.“
“The food is amazing! We ordered the steak dinner and lamb chops and they were phenomenal! Seasoned and cooked to perfection! The mashed potato’s were sooo good along with the broccoli. Also got the Margarita flatbread and it was WOW!! Don’t get me started on the crab rolls. I could eat 10 of those. Finally we got the bread pudding and I was in heaven! Kids were even given Wikki sticks in these cute little goody bags to keep them busy even though they were super occupied with the game room. The chief/owner even came out and greeted everyone which I thought was really nice. It’s hard to come across good quality food and great customer service and this places defiantly provides that. Believe it or no, I was a vegetarian for 7 years even throughout my pregnancies where I craved everything but meat! Just recently started eating meat on occasions (I still get grossed out) but the steak I had last night I can honestly say I want to go back today and order it again ? called my mom, sister and some friends to tell them they have to try this place since we are always looking for good food which is so hard to come by!“
“So glad we found this place. Landed in Chicago from Hawaii and was greeted by snow all day. Looking for comfort food, we found this place. Wonderful staff and I believe he was the owner, made us feel so welcome. The ramen was great and so was the Thai food. Highly recommend. Much aloha to the staff there. The flower girls!“

“We came here once before. This visit was during lunch. We didn’t know they had a lunch special starting at $9.95 depending on the protein you select. This is one of the most delicious Thai food restaurants I visited and I had visited many. We ordered the pekimao with beef and the of Thai with chicken. Everything was done very nicely with flavor and not over cooked. The drunken noodle was a little spicy but within my tolerance. They also add small appetizers such as egg rolls and fried tofu which makes the meal even more worth paying. Everything was great. I wish they would update their floors but other than that it was great!“
“Only reason I don’t give it a 5 is because there has been a couple times where my order was supposed to be ready for take out and I had to wait 20 minutes for it. I come during my lunch hour so that’s a good half hour waisted because of the delay and then I just have 30 mins or less to shove the food basically. The workers seemed to be working pretty fast so I think it may be a short staffed issue.“
