“Last Friday, my team and I had the pleasure of dining at Maya Del Sol, and I cannot express enough gratitude for the incredible service we received. After a long day of meetings, we were looking forward to unwinding and enjoying some good food, and Maya Del Sol exceeded our expectations. We had a party of about 22 people, which can be quite challenging for any restaurant to handle, but the staff at Maya Del Sol handled it with grace and efficiency. Our server, Erin, deserves special recognition for her outstanding service. She was attentive, fast, and incredibly patient with our large group. It's not easy to cater to the needs of 22 people, but Erin did it flawlessly and with a smile on her face. I have no doubt that Erin went home exhausted after serving us, but her exceptional customer service truly made our dining experience unforgettable. Thank you, Erin and the rest of the Maya Del Sol team, for your hard work and dedication. We will definitely be back for more delicious food and fantastic service!“

“Love, love, loved this place. Outstanding food with a lot of variety on the menu which seems to rotate in new dishes with some standards. Excellent, friendly service. Great neighborhood atmosphere. Burrito is a must, pulpo was cooked perfectly, and the flan. My goodness, the flan... Will be back. Again and again. Street parking available. Reservations recommended.“

“This is such a great little spot! The staff was really friendly, the food came out super hot, and I’ll definitely have to come back because there were so many things to chose from. My poor boyfriend will have to hear me raving about the Chicken & Waffles for the next few days.“

“An absolutely beautiful locally owned coffee shop in an area with few options. It's open and bright, and they host community events. The staff are friendly and helpful and the drinks (haven't tried the food yet, but hope to soon!) are very good!“

“We had drinks in The Aldermen portion. The drinks were incredible. Best gin and tonic I’ve ever had. Lance was running the show that night. We told him what we liked, and he nailed it. I would seriously put Lance as one of the best bartenders in the world. Yes, we will be back. Sad thing is, when I go other places, they won’t compare. The Pilsen Yards space looked fun, and did have great outdoor space. Another one of Chicago’s great neighborhoods to explore.“

“Overall Thoughts: I went to Amaru for 2024 Restaurant Week, and it had lovely vibes, solid food, and friendly service all around. My friends and I got the cheaper $42 dinner option and felt the value was good— we were stuffed and satisfied afterwards. Out of all 3 courses, the dessert was definitely the weakest, but I really enjoyed the other two courses!- Course 1: Requeson (4.6/5): The soft cheese was delicious; it was creamy and slightly sweet, pairing nicely with the slightly spiced salsa.- Course 2: Mole Y Leon (4.5/5): This was my first time having lion’s mane mushroom, and it was great! The texture was stringy and chewy, and the seared flavors were strong. The yuca was crispy and tasty, and the mole was rich and earthy.- Course 3- Espresso Tres Leches (4/5): Definitely lacking relative to the other two dishes; the cake wasn’t moist enough in my opinion, and the flavor was kind of monotonous.—Price (relative to peers): 4.2/5Food: 4.4/5Ambience: 4.9/5Overall Value: 4.5/5“

“I'm a frequent diner at Jibaritos y mas but my boyfriend wanted to try something new. We looked up a couple of places and this place came up. It had 4.6 stars so we decided to check them out, and we were so glad we did! I had the steak jibarito which lacked no flavor. The steak was marinated in mojo or vinegar I'm not sure but it was sooo good! My boyfriend had the steak sandwich and loved it as well. The service was awesome! The owners were very nice and talked to us while we ate. We tried their chips with HOMEMADE guava sauce made by Ana ?. Definitely a MUST TRY! I was not disappointed from the minute we walked in til we left. We will definitely be going back!“

“Nice place not a wow. Food was good, served quickly. Latin music over the speakers, asked to be turned down. It was right off of I-94 as it turns east toward Chicago. Traffic was busy, so we ate and had better traffic after.Parking: parked right in front“

“SO SO GOOD. Irazu is a Chicago institution and Henry, the owner, is awesome. If you have not been here, do yourself a favor and go. I get the steak burrito (upgrade to skirt steak) with avocado and then I pour Irazu salsa (the best salsa ever) on it. It is so good that I have to come in to get this burrito fix every week. I was out of town last week and I couldn't make it in for my burrito, so now I am currently experiencing Irazu burrito withdrawal. Anyway. Go! Support this wonderful local business!“

Jibarto sandwich was a great combo of fresh and savory flavors and textures. Rice texture and flavor is a tasty side. Employee was very enthusiastic and nice. Good service. I like the family vibe including the people photos on the tables. I'm going to recommend this to my Puerto Rican friends.“

“An amazing hidden gem in the heart of Albany Park! There are few Colombian restaurants in Chicago, but this one competes to be on the top. The arroz paisa is a pleasure if you are a meat lover. The arepas are huge and delicious. Portions are what you pay for. Bring an appetite!“

“Get the strawberry Spring Matcha Latte! It’s seriously so good. You can find it on their Easter menu. I also really enjoyed their Chilaquiles but the Spring Matcha Latte is going to be my new everyday drink. The owners are so kind and I received my meal extremely fast. Lastly, their Easter decorations are the cutest ☺️“

“I've eaten here so many times since 2010 when my brother moved to the area and it never disappoints! It was a lucky find as he was getting to know his new neighborhood and thank God he shared it with us. We've eaten in, gotten take out, but no matter which one we choose they always give great service. I've tried brain tacos from them (that surprisingly taste kind of like eggs), but our favorite is to order multiple pounds of the carnitas. It's SO good!! They give you fresh made tortillas, cilantro, onion, lime, and pico. Sometimes in the summer they have people right out front with different flavored Agua Frescas. If you're going to do carnitas be warned they do sell out, so try to get there early if you can. (Sorry my pictures aren't great this time)“

“I found out I had to host Christmas days before the 25th. I can't describe how friendly, helpful and extremely serviceable they were with me placing a catering order only 2 days from Christmas. Since I needed for the 25th, they opened specifically for my order.....Wow!! The service was phenomenal the food was exceptional!! Truly blessed to have them in the neighborhood! Puerto Rican rice, tostones. lechon, ham and potato salad enough for the entire family (25 people) with left overs for the next day. Thank you doesn't seem enough for the owners. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for great food and service. BTW......pistachio coquito......amazing!!!“

“My first time trying this spot as I don't live anywhere near it. Referred by a friend and so happy we followed that direction. Food was delicious as were the cocktails. Food had amazing flavors with a bit of spice on the back end. Our waitress DeAnna was lovely and walked us through the menu and specials with great detail. We loved all she recommended.“

“My fiancé and I were visiting chicago for the marathon weekend. Our friend friend who lives local recommended Takito Kitchen based on the great experiences he has had there in the past. The owner himself is a UCF alum just like everyone in our group, so he came to our table to introduce himself and we had a great conversation. He was so friendly and our waitress Alma was amazing as well! So sweet and very helpful/ knowledgeable. An overall great experience! We will be back next time we are in town and we will recommend all of our friends here as well!“

“Casa Yari is the best for vegan food in Chicago...hands down. The menu is creative, delicious and made with love. Yari is an amazing chef and human all around. Her staff, which includes her daughters, is very knowledgeable about the menu and can guide you on what to get if you're a first timer. Every dish is made to order so a little bit of a wait time is to be expected and well worth it. Be sure to check their website for updated rotating menus as well as some restaurant FAQs (i.e. they stop taking orders about 30 min before close) Heads up, brunch is busy so you most likely won't be able to grab your order to go but you are more than welcome to dine in at the bar if you're solo. They also have an amazing N/A cocktail list for those of you that don't drink. This is not a place to miss if you're a true Chicago foodie!“

“This was THE BEST Latin American food fusion I have ever experienced! Everything we ordered was not only delicious, but just as attractive in presentation. Also, the staff was so attentive and engaging. We had the honor of being introduced to the chef and shared how pleased we were with his culinary selections. Don’t pass on the drinks, especially the Pina Colada shots, for they were the perfect compliment to each dish. I highly recommend this restaurant for its authentic ambience, friendly staff and mesmerizing menu.“

“Service was attentive and kind, the food was phenomenal and you can tell the recipes are traditional. I met the owner of this restaurant in unlikely circumstances before my visit and the love he has for his restaurant translated when i got to experience dine in. the dining room is small but it allows for that mom and pop feel. Definitely try this place out and don't skip out on the Roja Vieja.“

“Amazing Honduran food! We've passed by this place many times, thinking it was solely a private event space. But we stopped by for dinner on the patio today and it was incredible. The quesabirria tacos were super rich and the refried beans that came on the side had a unique and delicious flavor. The fried chicken and plantain dish, which is one of their specialties, was both new to us and also soo good. Manny was the best waiter with the perfect recommendations, and his mom was super sweet (even though she was a little shy ?). Patio was peaceful, verdant and comfortable. We will be back soon!“

“Glad we finally tried this place after seeing it on check, please. Cute, cozy atmosphere. Our main waiter took our order & we didn’t really see him again but the other wait staff were nice & helpful. Food was solid. I enjoyed the ham they used in the eggs Benedict & I like my griddled pancake. The gravy for the biscuits & gravy was decent but a bit salty & I wasn’t a fan of the biscuit they used. I’mGlad I ordered it as a side rather than the main dish. I ordered decaf coffee & didn’t get it til halfway through the meal. Street parking was free on Sunday which was nice.“

“Greetings to all Internet usersThe reason for this comment is to congratulate all the workers at the Mr. Pollo restaurant since I have been a customer for more than 12 years and I have always liked the flavor and quality of the chicken and the garnishes, but for some time now what I have Many businesses do is lower the quality when they already have customers and here, on the contrary, everything is richer and more delicious. I recommend it 120%.Congratulations (they have never given me a discount but it is cheap)“

“Finally got a chance to try this place after hearing from many friends how good it is. Got the steak tacos and they were among the best I've ever had! Generously loaded and so flavorful and not the least bit dry (I have had a loooooot of dry steak tacos.) Horchata was sooo good too. Can't wait to try more on the menu!“

“We stopped for dinner after a baseball game near by. We checked to see what was around and we saw it had jibaritos here. We drove four minutes to get here. There's no parking on the street Monday thru Saturday certain hours but there is a huge shopping mall across with tons of parking. We got lucky it was Sunday and we can park outside the business. We went inside and super nice service from everyone that works here. They got a table for six ready and greeted us. We put in our drink order and appetizer we got five empanadas four steak and one chicken. The service was on point and they were very busy. The restaurant was super clean and very trendy. We got two different hot sauces for our empanadas. The empanadas were very good it was like a potato base mixed with spices and steak. I loved the steak one over the chicken but still was good. Then we got the carne asada tostones and they were amazing and loaded with chopped up steak and salsa and aguacate chunks. The presentation looked very delicious and the taste was perfect. Between the family we ordered a steak jibarito, entraña la parrilla, carne asada plate and bandeja paisa. The steak jibarito was a bit different from Puerto Rican spots. This jibarito had mozzarella cheese instead of yellow American cheese and it didn't have mayo ketchup. Overall it was still very delicious with a nice cut of steak with the perfect seasoning. The entraña la parrilla was very delicious it a very nice huge piece of skirt steak cooked to your like. It comes with white rice and plantains. Very juicy and seasoned very nice would recommend to everyone. The bandeja paisa just wow so much on a cutting board. It had a link of Colombian chorizo, chicharrón, over easy eggs on top of white rice with a side of black beans and maduros. Then you choose the cut of meat you have three choices. We went with the owner recommendation of meat and it was so tender with a seasoning that was amazing. The carne asada plate was very good as well it comes with a sirloin cut and a side salad white rice and beans. The owner was very nice to substitute the rice and beans for French fries. The fries were really good here. Overall I will be coming here it was very delicious they do charge a gratitude of 18% for a party of five and up. Also recommend to pay with cash so you're not hit with a 4% charge from the bank. The prices are a bit expensive for a thinner cut of meat but the food was delicious.“

“I was on Instagram and saw two different reviews for Garifuna Flava! One review was from Shanikkyeats and the other from CousinVinnie. Let me tell you, my husband and I wasn't disappointed! He ordered the Jerk Catfish dinner w/ the rice&beans, cabbage and plantains. I ordered the Half Jerk Chicken dinner w/ cabbage, mac & cheese, and potato salad. We also order the taste of Belize sample platter. Everything was delicious! Every dish had it's own unique flavor. The meals were generously proportioned that we were able to eat the rest later in the evening. I truly recommend that you try this restaurant asap! I give it a 10 out of 10....“

“I would eat more but stomach has a limit. I have been visiting this place for years and I have tried everyone the menu. Never disappointed. I always go for the churrasco and the carne asada. I recommend highly the chimichurri with extra lime. You'll be in heaven after that.“
“Got the Papas Bravas for a little snack and they were fantastic! Definitely worth $6! I decided to give them a chance since I saw octopus on the menu so I knew they knew what they were doing. The spices were on point! I will definitely be back.“
“Very beautiful view. Highly recommend this location. Very cool neighborhood. On the pricey side but totally worth it. Highly suggest the deluxe pepperoni pizza. The whipped ricotta is a GAME CHANGER! Just one complaint was that the staff told us when we got to the rooftop that it was a 30-45 minute wait for a table or there was room at the bar. The bar had no stools open and people were standing. The only room left at the bar was by the dishwasher. Took us a while to get a bartender’s attention. Luckily my boyfriend sat down at an open table and the staff came over and said that the waitress would be right with us and she was. Super nice girl. It was just annoying because we were told it was a wait but there was really no wait. Weird! Other than that, there was a live DJ which was cool and the other customers were really friendly and fun! There were people dancing and vibing. Will be coming back.“

“The first thing that I noticed about Amerikas was the super lively and bright ambiance. I went I on a Saturday night with my wife, so I wasn't surprised by all of the people dining and having a good time, and as I ate my dinner I definitely learned why. The decor is bright and fun. The walls are lined by mutuals, mostly yellow, with big splashes of color. I liked how then kept the lights on to keep the atmosphere bright and fun. The food was delicious too. My wife and ordered the pulpo, barbacoa, tacos (shrimp and pork shoulder), tostada de pescado, ceviche and the dragon fruit cheesecake for dessert. I enjoyed all of the dishes, my favorites were the barbacoa and the pulpo. The barbacoa was super flavorful and fell right off the bone, no knife was need. The pulpo was cooked to perfection and was tender and delicious. The risk with pulpo is that it can be chewy and tough, definitely not the case here. One note, the tostada for the tostada de pescado seem a bit too dry, but the flavor of fresh seafood made up for it. If you want a fun show with your food, order the ceviche, it comes out with a cool smoke effect. Overall, the service was fast and friendly, and the overall experience at the restaurant was enjoyable. While they don't have a parking lot, street parking is cheap (at least compared to Chicago) and plentiful. Amerikas is a must visit in Oak Park.“
