22 Best Ice Cream Shops near Roxana

“What a wonderful place, love the floats. New ownership is top notch!“

“Staff are very friendly and you have endless choices of ice cream, and the ice cream is not expensive, perfect for a sunset snack.“

“northside can do no wrong. the signs remind me i need to shovel as much money to them as i can“

“The ice cream is very good, but...don't plan on any "naughty" flavors at the Edwardsville store, probably ever. That aspect is very disappointing. Service is great, atmosphere good. The owners should be up-front and post "no boozy flavors" on the Edwardsville website, not just a sign inside (after you're already inside the store). The ice cream was very tasty, but I was craving something "special".“

“We love this place! We will miss this spot for the winter!“

“An unforgettable trip to the 80s

Outstanding service, even better custard! To top it all off in proper 80s fashion…they didn’t even turn the machine around asking for a tip!

Grab the wife and kids to get yourself a sweet treat at Bobby’s Frozen Custard.“

“I ate here once in early 2026 and it wasn’t the best quality. This past time I enjoyed my food. I got the 2 special rolls lunch special. They were fried rolls, they came out hot and fresh, it’s a good lunch special.

BUT, the bathrooms were nasty. I don’t think they had been cleaned in a very long time. The whole place was just dirty, the doors, and the floors were sticky, even the carpet. Our service wasn’t horrible, but I’ve had better. I think if they would do some deep cleaning it would be a frequent spot for me.“

“OMG those chicken nachos!!!!!🥰🥰“

“Best icees in town, better flavors, more juice than ice unlike the others .my fav is Polynesian pineapple...“

“Thanks for my newest obsession…Peach, raspberry iced tea 🤗“

“My brother is terminally ill. One of two things on his bucket list were to 1) go deep sea fishing - which can’t happen, and 2) try Gooey Buttercake Ice Cream. After running everywhere yesterday to try to find it, with no luck, as a last ditch effort I went in to Annie’s. They did not have it on the menu but Emily (the owner) was so considerate when she heard what was happening that she decided to attempt to make it on her own for me to pick up today. She told me everyone said it was delicious who tried it. Unfortunately, my brother will likely not be able to taste it as he is relatively unresponsive within a very short 24 hour period. The service, the support, them going above and beyond from what I could have ever dreamed of is absolutely beyond words. I’m sure Tom would have loved it. Thank you, Emily! There are still angels on this earth. And my daughter is absolutely addicted to your custard, and has been for four years!“

“Stumbled across this place just browsing and landed what I feel is perhaps the world's best ice cream cone! Ice cream was solid, melts slow and eats perfectly, and was absolutely covered and overflowing with pecans covered in chocolate! Best cone ever!“

“A shout out to the person handling the dining room and fountain soda. She was amazing and her customer service was outstanding. Date 6/15 Time 12:30 I hope you are able to let her know. Her name tag was hidden behind her apron or we would have had her name. Wow! Dawn Mushill, CEO Customer Service and Beyond“

“Had a good experience visiting this location. Service was friendly. I got a chocolate shake and an order of sweet potato fries. The food was great. I think they were the best sweet potato fries I’ve ever had!

My only criticism is that I think the serving size of the fries could be larger. Still great though.“

“We went tonight for ice cream and Kathryn was beyond amazing. She noticed my son’s shirt and took interest in him and his interests. She was praising him and made his special night even better. It was nice having such a friendly, genuine face to walk into and chat with. She’s a great asset and hope to see her next time we’re in!“

“You guys did an amazing job with our cake! Thanks so much!!!! ❤“

“I gave them a picture of a macaw dressed as a pirate for a birthday cake and asked for yellow and red borders. And I put in the notes that it was for a Hawaiian pirates themed birthday party. The absolute hero of a decorator ran with our idea. They put palm trees, a pirate map, beautiful colorful flowers and made sand out of graham cracker crumbs!!! They could’ve done the bare minimum but they went above and beyond and knocked it out of the park. This cake was a masterpiece and the decorator deserves a raise! Thank you so very much!“

“My first time going to Freddy's. The service was great, food was ready quickly and it was very clean.
I loved the different fry dippers to choose from. My favorite was the jalapeño. The food was delicious. Wish we had one back home.“

“Pretty good shakes, just not really the service. People will stand talking to they're friends as you are waiting an watching them outside your window an by the time you get them they'll be mostly melted an turn to foam?

Again pretty good shakes just not the service when they're too busy talking with your order in hand.“

“Purchased a cake for my fiance a few weeks ago. However, something happened and my order was lost. A woman who I assumed is a manager replaced the cake in under 10 minutes and was super kind to us. My fiance while waiting ordered a chicken tender basket that he said was amazing. Amazing customer service.“

“I've been to this location a handful of times and have had a great experience with the food and service every time but the wait time could be improved on. Each time I've visited it always seems to take twice as long as you would anticipate.

With that being said though, it has always been worth the wait because the food and service from the employees has been well above my expectations. The employees are super friendly and willing to answer any questions you may have. Definitely recommend this location.“
