We did not realize they closed at 8pm and had dialed the phone at 7:55pm, the friendly woman answering the phone politely took our order and it was hot and fresh when we arrived at 8:15pm! I was told 15 minutes for pick up and did not check the food prior to leaving. The chicken was fried very hard and wasn't good. I didn't call until the next morning and spoke to a manager. The manager was pleasant and very understanding. I was able to bring back the chicken from the previous day and recieved a full new 50 piece meal for my visiting family. He even asked if I wanted to keep the order that was messed up. Amazing customer service and the food was really good. I would always order from them, they really know how to treat their customers!! “We love Gyro Stop. The food never disappoints and the staff is great. But if you close at a certain time, that should mean you close at that time. I tried to call in an order 45 minutes before close, which I think is reasonable. I got a recording that said they prefer online orders. Great! So do I. Nope. They stop taking those an hour before close. Called again and the recording gave me the options and I selected to speak to someone to place an order and was placed on hold. After a minute or so, I was told they couldn't take my call and to try again in 5-10 minutes. I decided to just go in and place it. Nope. Door was locked 30 minutes before close. I'm sorry but this is unacceptable. I've worked in the service industry so I am very understanding of the employees' time but if you say you're open until 7 (this was a Saturday), then stay open until 7.“

“This Clear lake location is the only one I will go to in Springfield. The staff have always been friendly and the food is pretty consistently fresh. My favorite is the sweet tea, made just right. I will also go out of my way to go to the Taylorville McDonald's!

As far as the other Springfield and Chatham locations, the employees need a lesson on work ethic and food service. The food is cold and fries cold and are always warmed over. And they are RUDE!
That's the result of pure laziness.
The Archer Elevator location....awful. THE STAFF IS RUDE!
I even refuse to go the the Chatham location!
It's pretty bad when the majority of the McDonald's here have such bad service.

“We go in here quite a bit. There’s a young man that works in there and he has to be the most nicest young man that I have Ever came across with customer service. He helps you he’s nice he smiles. He’s just a very happy person. We have him in drive-through and we get him in dining and with the way the world is today. “First time dining here. Large menu and really large portions. Besides the gyro, they have schwarma, other Indian food, falafal, fried chicken and fish, hamburgers, hot dogs and sausage, and more. My wife had the loaded potato which was a spicy mixture of baked potato pieces, broccoli florets, grilled onions, cheese, and more. She couldn't eat all of it. I had the gyro meal. The gyro was so stuffed that I had difficulty getting it into my mouth and had to eat some of the filling before I could fold it together to pick it up.“

“We can't thank today's lunch staff, enough, at this Jimmy John's location for coming in clutch for us today with a last minute order! We had some colleagues attending an offsite meeting on the other side of town from where our offices are located. We don't typically order business meals from food establishments out on the west side because of the distance from our office being out of standard delivery range. However, the organization hosting the meeting asked if we could provide lunch, and we ordered from a different west-side establishment several days in advance of the meeting. When they were well over an hour late with the delivery, very rude, and unhelpful in providing any explanation for the delay or information regarding when we could expect it to finally show up; we found this JJ location close by the meeting site, called them up and asked if they could whip up nearly 2 dozen sandwiches quickly. They were so helpful on such short notice, and definitely lived up to the freaky fast tagline! By the time the person I spoke to on the phone put the order in their system and processed our payment, the other staff members had the order nearly complete. We've never ordered from this Jimmy John's location before, as there's a location much closer to our offices, but if/when we ever need to order lunch for a meeting on the west side of Springfield, we will definitely use this location again! “The food was good as always. I ordered unsweet tea, but got sweet tea. I didn't discover this until I got home. I live halfway across town, so I didn't bother taking it back. But I was stuck without a drink, as I'm a type 2 diabetic and can't have the sugar. It was on my receipt as unsweet tea. I wish they would pay more attention to what they're doing. This has happened before at this same Taco Bell location.“

“We called same day after a catering service did not show up to provide lunch for the team of volunteers who was helping to clean up at the animal shelter that was impacted by the tornado. The store only had 3 staff but didn’t hesitate to immediately help create catering boxes for over 75 people in less than an hour. They were so friendly and incredibly impactful to the work we were doing. Can’t say thank you enough!! What a great community partner!“
