Given the nature of the event, it was particularly important to us to have caterers who were efficient, thoughtful, easeful and elegant. Cortes Catering was all this and more. We received multiple compliments on the food; even highly accomplished cooks were clamoring for recipes. Communication was easy; setup and cleanup were super-efficient and unintrusive. The staff was wonderful, super-nice, professional, and easy to work with. I got a phone call only minutes after sending in my inquiry on the website, and they quickly prepared a a quote based on our conversation. We went back and forth a few times as my needs changed, and they helped me adjust my order to fit my budget. It was wonderful to work with one person for an event with numerous food trucks. I had their cell phone number if I needed it, and they shared mine with the food truck operators so that they could reach out to me when they arrived. The trucks arrived on time, and the food was delicious! (College students LOVE grilled cheese! Who knew?!) We will definitely work with them again for our next event and would recommend them to anyone who is planning an event.“

This guarantees your box of goodness will be the freshest and most eye-pleasing, as if you hand selected them yourself! “We are so thrilled that we chose to go with Food for Thought for our August wedding! We got married at the Chicago Cultural Center, and while the venue has a number of preferred caterers, FFT was the one on that list that stood out to us. From the first phone call to the final calls and emails, they were so easy to communicate and plan with. Many of our guests said that this was the best food they've had at a wedding, and we agree we them! The hors d'oeuvres, salads, entrees, and custom drinks were all so delicious; everything turned out perfectly.
I also want to give a HUGE shoutout to Kacilynn, who was the one responsible for planning, organizing, and executing everything for us. When we met her for the tasting, she happily answered all of our questions and was just so fun to talk and work with. I had countless questions and updates throughout the planning process, especially in the final weeks, and she was responsive to everything.
One special thing she helped with was the champagne flutes; I had thrifted, cleaned, and packed over 100 champagne flutes for guests to use and take home, and I had been nervous this would be a burden to them to deal with, but she assured me that it could be done. She took the time to help me decide on a display option for them, and her team cleaned them before and after the event and packed away any leftover flutes. Her attention to detail and her ability to pull everything together seamlessly is truly unmatched.
We are beyond grateful to Kacilynn, her team, and everyone else at Food for Thought for making the food and drinks a true highlight of our wedding!“

We were able to have an outside organizer decorate the hall for us and they worked very well together which made it possible for us to relax and enjoy the process.
