“The burgers are wonderful. I had mine cooked medium well and it was not dry like some places. I really like the fries because they have the skin on. They originally forgot my french fries but they fixed it by giving me free cheese sticks and helped me out. I will be back.“

“Let me start by saying I absolutely love this place. Every meal I’ve ever had at Portillo's has been top-notch, and my latest visit to the Batavia location was no exception for the rest of my group, everyone was thrilled with their food as well as the cake shakes. However, I decided to try the breaded whitefish sandwich, and my specific order was a massive miss.

I am not exaggerating when I say the breading was thicker than the fish. If you looked closely, the slice of cheese was putting up a good fight for being thicker than the fillet, too. I even tried to take a picture to prove how shockingly thin it was, but even with my phone's zoom feature, the fish was indistinguishable from a couple of small pieces of lettuce because absolutely everything was buried under a tidal wave of tartar sauce (which I'm pretty sure weighed more than the actual whitefish).

In all fairness, I’ve since looked at pictures other people have posted, and it’s pretty clear my sandwich was an unfortunate exception. Other photos show a nice, thick breaded fillet, but my sandwich, aside from the bun, looked absolutely nothing like what others have pictured for this menu item.

I will absolutely be back for all my favorites, but the fish sandwich is a definite skip for me!“

“Ordered at the drive thru and took it home. Beef was awesome. One large fry is enough for 2+ people. Very impressed. Dare to say one of the best beef sandwiches I’ve had in a long time. Will go back for sure.“

Always excellent customer service, clean tables, just amazing especially for a fast food place.We recently went through the drive through, and one item was left out. No biggie it happens, I called and they said to just mention it next time I was in and they'd take care of me. Well last night I was at Delnor ( local er) pretty late and missed dinner so I figured I would stop through and redeem my item. Not only did the person over the intercom in the drive through apologize for the mishap, they told me to pick any combo and they'd add it no charge. This was so nice, especially after spending a few hours and the ER.“
