“Drinks are usually good. Food is always lacking. Hashbrowns have been a half serving multiple times and the bacon/egg/cheese Wake Up Wrap was so small it shouldn't even be considered a snack.
I would not recommend buying any food item except the donuts which have consistently been great. The Wake Up Wrap is $3 and probably weighs less than an ice cube.
What I do now is get my drinks from Dunkin and get my food across the street. Both drive thru's are fast!“

“I stopped here driving through town with my brother and boyfriend, we all agreed this was the best mcdonalds we'd ever had. seriously so fresh tasting. the burgers, and a mcchicken which was seriously amazing. my boyfriend thought the fries were just maybe a little stale but I didn't notice. service wasnt anything crazy, they got us through fast and our food was correct so I don't mind that they didn't say much.“

“The Tala in Libertyville is also where Tala roasts its coffee. It's a cute little spot. The coffee is always delicious and high quality. I like that this location has muffins in addition to donuts. The zucchini chocolate chip muffins are amazing. The staff is friendly.“

“So happy we found this gem of a coffee shop / restaurant while visiting the area! The white mocha I enjoyed was amazing and our breakfasts were fantastic. After talking with the owner, we learned the building is over 100 years old and it was a filling station. They have transformed the building into a very quaint location that is very welcoming! “I really wanted to love this place. I went almost everyday for quite a while after they opened, but, the coffee has kind of been a disappointment. It seems the only coffee they actually have is espresso or cold brew and no in-between. There always seems to be more milk in the drinks than any coffee. Should almost call the place 7 Milk. Service is hit or miss. Some days it's phenomenal and they actually make your drink correctly. I switched to the 7 energies since none of the coffee satisfied my coffee needs. God forbid you order lite ice, drink makers seem to fill my cup with 100% ice when I ask for light ice, or give me 6 shots of milk instead of a espresso when I ask for a triple 7. Overall still give it 4 stars.“

“We stopped by Conscious Cup while on a long roadtrip from Minnesota to a Chicago suburb to visit family. This coffee shop was so welcoming, with friendly, speedy service, and delicious food and coffee. I ordered tofu breakfast tacos and a decaf iced latte — and both were absolutely delicious. The atmosphere is perfect for working, sitting and chatting, or in our case, spending quality time with family. I recommend a visit!“

“My 4 year old son loved it here!!! He was so proud to have designed a donut (which was actually just the cookies and cream option from the menu) but he watched them make it and decorate it and then showed it to everyone he passed. “The Knollwood Starbucks is by far my favorite in the area. They have plenty of seating inside, including tables at a comfortable height for working on with a laptop and plugs. It’s not too busy, but is also a social place where you can run into friends and neighbors. The staff are the best part though! They are so friendly and helpful and know a lot of their regular customers personally. It always makes my day to walk in and be greeted by name. I have nothing but great things to say about how this store is run!“

“Family decided to go to Dunkin after church. Originally we went to the Dunkin closer to our house that is on N. Lewis. Customer service was horrible there so we left and came to this one. We were greeted when we came in, and the food was delicious. I only put three stars for service because the lady that attended us was slow. Physically slow. So slow that my daughter who is 11 was saying watching her was like she was in slow motion. Like, her movements were very slow, so that you kinda understand what I'm mean. I'm not sure if she is maybe developmentally delayed, and if she is,she was amazing. Or maybe she didn't have coffee yet. Not sure. It's like it took her a moment to register what was being said. At any rate, other than that, (and that wasn't that bad, really) definitely 5 stars for the rest.“

“I purchased a refresher at the North Chicago location, however the barista explained that he ran out of an ingredient while handing over my drink. I placed the drink inside the cup holder and began to drive. I decided to stop by the Starbucks at the Zion location to pay for the missing ingredient that the Starbucks at the North Chicago location ran out of. I explained the whole situation at the drive-thru and showed them the digital receipt on the app. To make the story short, the baristas at the Zion location were super kinda and understood what happened and gladly made me a brand new refresher the way it's supposed to be at no additional cost!!“

“Please do consider booking Sweet Home Gelato for your wedding! Each flavor offered is incredibly tasty. The pricing is extremely fair for catering and much more affordable compared to other vendors. My wedding was scheduled for August 8,2020. But due to Covid-19, we unfortunately had to cancel. Janice was extremely compassionate, understanding and flexible during the whole process. Sweet Home Gelato was the most compassionate and flexible vendor. It is not easy to cancel a wedding, unfortunately many vendors were not as accommodating. Janice immediately offered a refund, date change or gift card for the deposit. Sweet Home Gelato was under no circumstance required to issue a refund. Please do consider supporting this small business that is run by good people!“

“The donuts are fantastic but the place itself is gross. The floor is sticky and looks like it hasn't been swept or mopped in days. No napkins available and when we asked the staff said their boss hadn't ordered any paper goods or cleaning supplies in a while. The bathroom didn't have toilet paper, soap or paper towels either and was disgusting. I wonder if they even have soap in the kitchen to wash their hands. I don't think it's dramatic to say the health department should probably be called.“

“I recently visited the Dunkin’ on Sand Lake Rd., and overall, the experience was decent, but there are definitely areas for improvement.

Let’s start with the positives: the recent remodeling is a huge plus. The place looks fantastic! The kitchen, counters, and displays are all new and spotless, which gives it a very welcoming and organized feel. As expected from any Dunkin’ location, the donuts are great—classic, reliable, and always a treat.

However, the same cannot be said for their sandwiches. I recently ordered one that included hashbrowns, and it was a disappointment. The hashbrowns were soggy and dripping with oil, which made the sandwich unappetizing. A little more care in food preparation would go a long way.

The drive-thru experience is where things fall short. While efficiency is important, customer service is too. Unfortunately, the drive-thru staff, particularly a young, blonde girl, seems uninterested in even basic politeness. She doesn’t greet customers or respond to greetings, giving off the impression that she’s always in a bad mood. This lack of interaction feels cold and unwelcoming. As a result, I’ve started ordering inside at the counter, where the service is slightly better.

Overall, the Dunkin’ on Sand Lake Rd. has a lot going for it in terms of appearance and food quality (aside from the hashbrowns), but the staff could really use a refresher on customer service skills to make the experience as great as the newly remodeled space suggests it could be“
