“Quite honestly one of the most pleasant experiences I've had dining in. The dining room is very calm and nice, it's exactly as pictured in the reviews and they had great 90s grunge music playing too, that and the lucky cat statue were my favorite parts :). Aside from my favorite kind of atmosphere the people were so polite and kind. The service was amazing, when I let them know my allergies they made it very easy and simple. They brought out the food fairly fast too with really good sauces and everything was hot and delicious. I highly recommend the bbq pork fried rice and the eggroll. First time here and I will definitely be back soon :)“

Mongolian beef very tasty, but a bit too soft for me ( I prefer a bit of crisp to this dish). Shrimp fried rice was plentiful and very good. I didn't care for the crab rangoon (sweet) or scallion pancake ( chewy)...but I would definitely come back again and get LOTS of eggrolls!“

My wife and I live in St Charles and make the 1 hour 20 minute round trip at least once a week to get our fix. The food is that good. The owner is seemingly always there, and obviously genuinely cares about ensuring quality in what is served every time. Our favorites are Chengdu Style King Pao Chicken, Ma Po Tofu, Beef in Pure Cumin Powder, Toothpicks Lamb, and the Xiao Long Bao. I cannot for the life of me fathom how this restaurant does not have a higher rating. It is the best. Try it. You won't regret it.“

“This place is located at a Chinese supermarket food court yet they offer great Taiwan food. I brought my Taiwanese friend here once, now she is willing to drive back just to have meal here. We ordered the stinky tofu, tofu is very flavorful. The veggie pot is so delicious that I saw from someone else sitting there and I could not help but to ask the name of the dish.“

“I have been searching for a new go-to Chinese restaurant since I moved from Evergreen Park to Naperville in June 2023. My go to in EP was Wings in Alsip and I’ve had such a hard time finding a place that is just as good or better than Wings, until New Wok. I ordered online and sent my husband because I don’t drive. The first thing my husband said when he walked in the door was that they were so friendly and welcoming when he went to pick up the order. We crack everything open, get our plates together, and have at it. My son and husband usually have multiple conversations among us, but they loved their dishes so much, they were quiet the entire time they were eating. My daughter loved her crab Rangoon and her fried rice, and their vegetable egg rolls were some of the best I’ve ever had. I have definitely found my go-to Chinese place!“

We had not gone to China Star for a very long time, but have been told the new owners have turned it around and they were right. “This is my favorite Chinese food in the area due to the portion sizes and flavor. I usually order orange chicken, general taos chicken, and sweet and sour chicken. All very good. It is located in a strip mall so easy access in and out. They will deliver to GE and Lombard for sure. Not sure of other areas but worth asking. The delivery driver is always very nice. The location has 2-3 small tables so it is mostly for takeout. Last time I called in and it was ready for pickup in 20 minutes. Highly recommend.“

“I am so happy they are opened again. They were temporally closed which finding another restaurant that services the same quality of food is a challenge in this area. We always order take out and the food has great flavor and cooked well. We always order the fried rices and lo mien which any of the versions are good. General Tsao and Sesame Chicken.“

“Quick review: The portion is slightly larger than the lechon here in California. The price is reasonable. Great taste and seasoning especially the lemon grass used for flavoring. The skin was really crispy and crunchy. The meat itself is not dry and bland unlike other lechon I have tasted. I served with my military friends and they all loved it. I guess the only downside to my review is my location. My buddy had to bring this to me to the west coast all the way from the midwest.
