“This is my favorite Mexican restaurant in the area. I've been a consistent customer for the last 7 years at least. Any time someone recommends we go out to lunch to a different Mexican place, I'm immediately disappointed, because I know it's not going to be as good. The pastor meat is my favorite - on the burritos especially. Highly recommend.“

“Yeah it's not the most accurate location, most of the time we are missing at least one item or one item is wrong. We've made a habit of checking the bag for item count before fully leaving the parking lot. But! It's still classic Taco Bell, one of my favorite nostalgia places growing up. “I wish I had pictures but the food looked so delicious we just jumped right in; we weren't wrong. We recently moved from the city to Elmhurst and were looking for tacos that could live up to our neighborhood taco guys and we are glad to have found taco villa. Their al pastor is sweet and spicy, just perfection. We also tried the asada and it was good but the al pastor is the way to go. Can't wait to visit again and try some tortas!!“

“As a vegan myself, this place has the best vegan tacos I've ever had! Service was very quick too without sacrificing quality, in addition feels "light" in a good way without all the heavy grease and salt. It's hard finding vegan restaurants with large vegan menu options, including desserts like cake and brownie dessserts that taste so good like "regular" cake/brownies, so this place has it all! Also love how close this restaurant is walking distance to my home, so I'll definitely be a repeat customer!“

“I stopped by to try out the pozole. I was prepared to be disappointed as I have been with most restaurant pozole. The bar is pretty high as I have a friend that makes it best homemade. I was pleasantly surprised at how delicious it was. The broth was not rushed which resulted in such rich flavors. Every spoonful was filled with meat and hominy as well thanks to the generous servings in the soup. The taste reflects the patience and love that it was made with. The price point was pretty amazing as well. I will undoubtedly come back for more.“

“I found out I had to host Christmas days before the 25th. I can't describe how friendly, helpful and extremely serviceable they were with me placing a catering order only 2 days from Christmas. Since I needed for the 25th, they opened specifically for my order.....Wow!! The service was phenomenal the food was exceptional!! Truly blessed to have them in the neighborhood! Puerto Rican rice, tostones. lechon, ham and potato salad enough for the entire family (25 people) with left overs for the next day. Thank you doesn't seem enough for the owners. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for great food and service. BTW......pistachio coquito......amazing!!!“

“The food was delicious, my husband loved the burritos and the slaw.Also, I don't know the name of the person who served us today. But there were quite a few people and he was alone, with one person in the kitchen, he still kindly served us all, thank you very much for that.“

“I stopped here with my family because we had around an hour to kill and boy I’m glad we did. The classic margaritas was very authentic and delicious. Churros was perfectly crunchy while also being soft. Didn’t have a chance to try more than that but I know the food has to be fire and I will forsure be back for it. Service was casually good, and the atmosphere was cool but tbh I didn’t expect the food to be so authentic because of it. That to show you don’t judge a book by its cover. “HIGHLY RECOMMEND! We love the food here. No matter what he have ordered - IT'S SO GOOD. You can tell from the food that the owner LOVES TO COOK. He has meals off menu that he likes to offer because he tries new things. The love of cooking is in everything he does. The service has always been really good, no matter who we get. “Such an authentic gem in Oak Park. Vincente Fernandez is playing on the tv. I ordered the cafe de la olla, which I haven't had in forever and was such a delicious comfort to drink on a cold morning. My friends ordered the green chilaquiles and tried the Diablo sauce, which lived up to its name. All were delicious but next time I want to try just a regular order of Rojas chilaquiles. The line was out the door mid morning on a Sunday but the wait was worth it. It's pretty clean here but packed on the regular. Definitely recommend.“

“I've been here many times now, and love it!! It's busy most weekends and holidays and nights tbh, lol. So expect a bit of a wait, sometimes. It's worth it. Besides you can walk up the street and have a quick beer at Orange and Brew or Emmett's Brewing Co. while you're on their waiting list. The staff were very friendly, the food was delicious, and prices were more reasonable than several other Mexican restaurants in the area.I had the Chilaquiles (without meat or additional onion) and it had just the right amount of taste and spice. My wife had the Huevos Rancheros which she liked but were a bit too spicy for her. It was her first time trying them. I found them D-lish (I love me some spice!). My daughter had the breakfast burrito... it had chorizo, scrambled eggs, pico de gallo, and 1 or 2 other ingredients.There was plenty of parking and a small outdoor seating area as you walk in if that's your vibe. The downside was that it took such a long time to get our drinks despite there being multiple servers and Or bartenders. “This was a great place for authentic Mexican food. I rate restaurants not on how fancy they are but on several factors. It starts with chips and salsa, then basic items like tacos (steak/al pastor), then enchiladas. I had tacos (steak, pastor and chile relleno). All were great. Of course service and cleanliness is essential. I highly recommend this place.“

“I will definitely come back for the carne asada torta that tasted charboiled with the soft bun. Also, the warm and soft lengua tacos with the green salsa. They pack the tacos with lots of meat and 2 tortillas each. Horchata tasted homemade with a fine grain and obvious cinnamon flavor. Overall, everything was well made and flavored.“

“After googling many places in our area my husband found this place to get us some Quesabirrias. And my husband and son went to order some dinner. They were on point very good the meat was tender and it was not greasy. The consume was perfect for dipping. Everything was hot. The dinner comes with three and some rice and refried beans. The tamales were very good and moist not dry.Overall the place was great and the food was excellent, we found a new taco joint to go to. I usually love to add photos. “The food here at least for the carnitas, are hands down the best, i live near the ORD airport and used to drive down all the way down to the southside for some good carnitas. Thank goodness, I no longer have to since finding this gem of a restaurant. Another indication that this place is great is because it always has customers, never empty.
