The Willowbrook Chick-fil-A location is definitely a number one spot for me — we’ll be coming back again for sure!“

“I love fried catfish but I don't want to fry fish in my house so I did an Internet search and found Catfish -Chicken-Sandwiches in Willowbrook. I will say that the gentleman behind the counter was very pleasant and informed me about an option to try fish and one different item for the same price of a large catfish dinner which is what I ordered. I will say that the fish was a beautiful golden brown and not full of oil so I know it was cooked at the correct temperature. The only thing I will say is that the fish breading needs salt and the fries too. Needless to say, I will definitely be coming back to this restaurant for more fish and I'm looking for to trying other items from the menu.“

“This review is not specific to the Willowbrook Portillo's. It is for the entire chain. Portillo's is a Chicagoland icon. Starting with a humble hotdog stand, Frank Portillo built an empire, with 95 locations across the USA. While they all have the same menu, they are all unique in their decor and atmosphere. Usually, the restaurants have a Chicago theme; gangsters from the '30s & '40s, rock and roll, moonshine, or sports; plus, music to match.

Now, the food. Hotdogs,Burgers, Italian Beef, Salads, and Pasta dishes are the specialties of the house, and Portillo's has perfected them. Everything is made to order and cooked to perfection. Place your order at the counter and 5 to 10 minutes later, you have a meal that will ensure you that you must return to try something else from the menu. Or, like me, you can come back over and over to get one of two things: a burger with onion rings, or a big dish of rigatoni with meat sauce.

Now, all that being said, if you go, you have to save room for dessert. Portillo's makes THE best chocolate cake on the planet. And they give you a huge slice of it. I usually eat half and save the rest for another day. If you don't like eating cake, 1) I feel sorry for you, and 2) you can get the famous Portillo's Chocolate Cake Shake. Yes, it is exactly what it sounds like; a milk shake with a whole slice of chocolate cake blended into it. My daughter absolutely loves it.

So, if you are visiting the Chicago metro area, make it a point to visit a Portillo's restaurant. If you live in the Chicago metro area, why are you Rea ding this? You already know...“

“The place was a ghost town. I was the only one there. The only thing that changed about the peanut buster parfait was the price ( over $5.00 now ). The worker that was there was very pleasant. It does not have to be blistering hot outside to enjoy good ice cream.“

“Asked for "everything except no mayo" on my sandwich. Poor lady started by putting mayo on it (probably out of habit since most folks want mayo) before realizing her mistake - even before I did. She apologized profusely and had them remake me a sandwich. It was literally the most minor inconvenience in the world that cost me a whopping 2 minutes of added wait time, but they still snuck a free chocolate chip cookie in my bag. Completely unnecessary but much appreciated! Yay for people who actually care about their customers (even though, again, in this case, it barely even qualified as an inconvenience to me, lol). Also the sandwich was delicious!“

“Always fresh, always delicious! The subs here are packed with flavor & quality ingredients. The bread is soft & fresh, & they’re generous with the toppings. Definitely my go-to spot when I’m craving a good sandwich. I got my coworkers hooked on it & now my family too!“

“Listen… I went in for a sandwich and walked out questioning my whole life. I tried that pickle sandwich and let me tell you—whoever thought of replacing bread with a giant pickle deserves a Nobel Prize. A Grammy. Maybe even a Grammy.
That thing was crunchy, juicy, and somehow made me feel both healthy and reckless at the same time. I’ve never felt so alive eating a sandwich that wasn’t even technically a sandwich. 10/10 experience.

The workers were cool too—fast, friendly, and acting like handing me a pickle torpedo was just another Tuesday. The vibes inside were great, the place was clean, and I swear the air even smelled like ambition and freshly sliced greatness.

Would I go back? Absolutely. Would I order the pickle sandwich again? Without hesitation.
