“I’ve always considered peppercorn to be underrated. For being in west Lafayette it’s not bad for authentic sizchuan cuisine.I ordered the crispy chicken in garlic sauce and shrimp fried rice to go. I ordered online for pickup and it was ready within 15 minutes. Both dishes were still hot and tasted like it was freshly made. I wish there was a notes section when ordering online to indicate how much spice you want. Both the dishes were very mild in my opinion, and I would have liked to make note that I’d want it to be spicy. But other than that both dishes weren’t bad. There wasn’t any indication on whether the chicken dish would come with a side of rice, but the reviews mentioned it does come with rice which it did.I’ve tried other dishes in the past that I liked too although I unfortunately can’t remember the names. The space inside is huge with lots of tables to dine in. Overall a good spot when you’re craving shizchuan.“

“I really enjoyed eating here. I went in the afternoon and it was pretty empty which I found peaceful and really enjoyed. The service was very nice and helpful. I got the buldak chicken and then pork rib noodle soup. I really love buldak ramen flavor so I enjoyed the sandwich a lot. For the noodles I got the chili flakes separate. The meat wasn't seasoned much but I love ribs and was able to flavor to my taste with the hoisin sauce and chili oil. Also, I felt like the broth was light and refreshing. My only complaint was that I would have preferred thinner noodles but it's one of the better noodle soups in the area and I'd recommend it!“

“Sooooooooooooo yummy. Thought it was a Blaze Pizza but was pleasantly surprised to find out it was Chinese food. Fun fact spaghetti is actually Chinese and was taken by the Italian people kind of like how blaze was Italian pizza but is now a Chinese food place too.“

“Oishi Chinese Restaurant has the best Chengdu chili chicken that I have ever had. Their other dishes including Singapore noodles are excellent. I have been eating here since 2017 and it is a go to destination anytime I am driving through West Lafayette. Always a joy to find a restaurant that has better food than any in Chicago.“

“As Steven Su said, this place is entrancing to customers, vetted by its staff, and dominated financially by its owners. Actually that’s not what he said but I would wager that’s what he meant. I cannot attest to the quality of the food as I haven’t eaten here. In a supremely moral move, I will rate the restaurant highly. Try the chicken dumplings.Vegetarian options: Veggies are great. Here? Not so certain of their options. But it’s probably good.Dietary restrictions: Milk, soy, and wheat are the most common allergens.Kid-friendliness: No kids. Children are allowed.“

“We found this place by accident and had to try it. We came with our 3yr old and she loved it too. The service was fast and the food was delicious. If you like Pho they have it. My wife ordered it with chicken and it was packed.I ordered a Thai dish. I forgot I don't like the peanut sauce or the topping used. No big deal. I ate some of my daughter's noodles which had a garlic taste. The entire meal was great! I'll go back soon.“
