I let him know the napkins were empty and after re-filling them he thought to bring napkins to our table. That might sound like an obvious next step, but I have found this to be a rare attribute in a lot of restaurant employees, to go the extra mile. He checked in with our table regularly to ensure we had what we needed, and also offered to clear our table when finished. These little things are reasons that my family loves coming to Buona. “Out of all the Chick-fil-A‘s in our area I prefer the one in Crown Point because 99% of the time they get every single thing right in the orders. To where the other ones we constantly have to say hey you forgot this hey you forgot that. The staff is very good at their jobs very friendly, which shows how good management is there. We’ve never had a bad experience since the day they opened and we usually go eat there 2 to 4 times a month to this specific restaurant.“

“My family and I stopped by Bombers BBQ in Crown Point on Friday evening around 6:00 PM, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish.

The food was absolutely amazing. The burnt ends were some of the best I’ve had—tender, flavorful, and packed with flavor. My wife ordered the nachos, and they were just as impressive. We also loved the variety of barbecue sauces available, which let everyone find a favorite.

The atmosphere was clean, welcoming, and perfect for a family dinner. Our daughters had a blast playing the quarter candy crane machine and checking out the arcade while we waited, which made the evening even more fun.

Our bill came to about $96 for the four of us, so it isn’t the cheapest place to eat. That said, every one of us took home about half of our meal because the portions were so generous. We felt like we got great value for what we spent, especially considering the quality of the food and the amount we had left over.

Great food, generous portions, a fun family atmosphere, and an experience we’ll definitely be back for.

“Ok I'm going to be the outlier review it appears. I was raised by a greek father in the Chicago suburbs. We went in to Chicago's greek town at least once a month if not twice for most of my youth. So Ive been exposed to all of the classic greek joints in Chicago, now mostly gone sadly. And as most of us know the Chicago suburbs are full of greek owned diners. All that to say the bar may be set high for me.
I have to be honest. Right?
Simply wanted a good greek salad and had to try this place, they've now been here over a year and seem to receive good reviews. But as I've learned NWI reviews are sometimes way too generous, I've come to believe people in this community are easily impressed.
This greek salad was basically a chopped salad with some ingredients that allows them to call it greek. It sorted of is I guess. But everything is diced. Just weird and wrong. A greek salad is supposed to be large chunks of tomato and cucumber, medium sliced onion and bell pepper. Everything was diced to little bits that are more appropriate for a spoon than a fork. The feta is grated, and I don't know how you even achieve that with real feta, it should also be chunks and or crumbled. It was overly salty feta and lacking it's traditional flavor. I would switch brands if I were the buyer of ingredients for the kitchen. Likewise with the kalamata olives, overly salty and flavor profiles is off. Very sorry about all of that, I really wanted to find a good salad here locally. Also, lettuce really does not belong and the dressing is weird. It should only be oil, that the tomatoes marinade in for a half hour or so and pull the acidic flavor from the tomato.
I wish that was my only complaint.
Saganaki was not flamed in booze and was not extinguished with lemon. It was evidently griddle cooked, in oil? Idk but it was oily, no alcohol residual and no lemon.
Moving to the chicken skewers, good quality chicken, flavor profile was good with plenty of oregano and I believe real lemon. It could be so much better though if it were flame broiled instead of griddle top cooked.
Lemon rice soup that so many reviews praise? Perfect example of locals who have not ventured out much. This soup is basic, it's from a mix that the majority of greek diners use. And overly lemony. Not a hint of chicken in it. Not creamy enough and doubtful there's any real egg white in it.
I wish I had better things to say. If the owner were to read this, please make the changes to correct your salad to be authentic. That would go a long way with helping to overlook the other issues. Add chicken to your lemon rice soup. And tone down the lemon. Flame broil your meats instead of griddle top. I know I'm stating things that would likely cost money and investment if it were pursued. But the proximity to other real greek restaurants should merit stepping up. I'll try again someday to see if any thing has changed. Until then I hope the rest of the patrons are happy with their meals, I'm sure they will be, not everyone has the same point of reference I come from.“

“The drive thru lane is very inconvenient, you have room for 2 cars by speaker, then you are either cutting off the parking lot entrance or leaving a gap that ride people can cut in front of you. “When we first moved to NWI, we first visited Pops when they were located closer to Jewel. At first, when we ordered our beef juicy, the beef was still dry. Over the years, they have gotten better. The beef is juicy, tender, and tasty. So juicey that now, they wrap your beef and then put your wrapped beef inside a plastic bag for take out orders. The beef here is much better than the overrated beef sandwich at Portillos. The large order of fries is enough to share.“

You can tell she really cares about her customers and takes pride in what she does. She went out of her way to make sure everything was right, and her positive attitude honestly made my day a little better. Great customer service like that is hard to find anymore. “Crown Point’s Five Guys turned out to be exactly the kind of stop you hope for on a long drive. It was easy to get to, welcoming from the moment we walked in, and served the kind of food that reminds you why this brand has earned such a loyal following over the years. We pulled in for a late dinner after letting the grandkids sleep a little too long, and by the time everyone woke up, they were more than ready to eat. Thankfully, Five Guys delivered in every way.

My wife ordered a classic Cheeseburger, prepared in the fresh, made‑to‑order style that has been part of Five Guys’ identity since their early days in Virginia. Our grandchildren split a Grilled Cheese Sandwich and a generous serving of Fresh Cut Fries, and they devoured every bite. Those fries deserve special mention. Five Guys has built a reputation around cutting potatoes in‑house every day and cooking them in pure peanut oil, and the result is consistently delicious. No matter which location you visit, the fries come out hot, crispy, and perfectly salted. Crown Point kept that tradition alive, and I enjoyed them just as much as the kids did.

Even though it looked like the dinner rush had wrapped up before we arrived, the dining area was spotless. Tables were clean, the floors were swept, and everything felt well cared for. The staff were incredibly kind and friendly, the sort of team that clearly takes pride in both the food and the atmosphere. By the time we finished eating, most of the crowd had cleared out, and the whole place still felt warm and inviting.

Five Guys has always focused on doing a few things exceptionally well, from burgers and hot dogs to shakes and their long list of toppings that let you build your meal exactly the way you want it. This Crown Point location carries that history forward with the same quality and consistency that made the brand famous.

For us, it was the perfect stop. Great food, great service, and a clean, comfortable place to unwind after a long stretch on the road. We would happily return the next time we pass through.“

“I mean it’s a McDonalds, so most of it’s the same as every other one, but they are better than most in the area. This is always the one I opt for as they are quicker and friendlier than others. Only thing negative is that when you go later on, sometimes the food is overcooked.“
