“This was an important dinner, my son who is 26, had surgery(had his tonsils removed) a couple days ago, and The recovery is described as one of the worst, and it feels like shards of glass in your throat.he has to eat soft food and he had Choices all over the Kansas City metro area. He chose Joe’s, Joe’s mac & cheese to be exact! We live on the Missouri side (Gladstone). So I decided to stop by this evening, and not only get a quart of mac & cheese for him, I grabbed dinner for myself (z-man w/ fries, ribs w/ red beans and rice, Mac and cheese) which I was reluctant to do, due to me having to drive 35 minutes home and I was worried that it was going to be Soggy and cold, Well, much to my surprise, the food was packed perfectly, my food was still hot, and my fries were still crispy! Thank you Joe’s in Leawood you did amazing! I will probably be back in the next couple of days to purchase more Joes mac & cheese! BTW this son of mine recommends Joes to everyone!! “Usually great food, and we est here often. However, last week we were 100% dissatisfied! First, the entire meal was late, they had to substitute knots for garlic bread, waited forever and the calzone had literally one piece of meat about 1"x1.5" and what looked like a mozzarella stick for cheese. The meal was gross, late, over cooked and not what we ordered or paid for. So disappointed. Since it is a long drive we regularly make I doubt we will be returning. $34 meal wasted.“

“Always delicious food. Great service but shorthanded alot. Tend to have long wait times but the food is always so good. Can't beat the bread while you wait and those Brussel sprouts are addictive. Dessert is always perfect. Better cheese cake than most restaurants including the Cheesecake Factory which honestly is overrated and the cheesecake is not much better than something from the grocery store. Longhorns cheesecake starts fights in my house so definitely give it a try. You won't regret it!“

“Absolutely PHENOMENAL!!! Our group of 14 arrived here today at the Shawnee location for lunch. We were met by friendly staff and seated right away. Once we ordered our food, it arrived quickly! We were impressed! All 14 orders were correct, served hot and fresh, and so good!! Great size portions! The service was absolutely great! Refills were quick. The atmosphere is so fun! But what was best about our experience getting food here was that when my mother left her wallet sitting somewhere in the restaurant while waiting for our food, she got distracted and forgot it! She didn’t even realize until way late at night after close. Thankfully, whoever was working that evening noticed the wallet and put it away for safekeeping and my mother was able to get it back the following morning. She was extremely grateful and we admire the honesty and integrity of the employee and business! So glad they noticed the wallet and are clearly paying attention to their restaurant.“

“This was only the second time I have been here, and the only complaint I have was our server this time, he was not remotely friendly, unprofessional in how he handled items on our table. He reached across us with out request or apologies. I watched he talked to another table through a yawn and reach to our table while working another with customers. My wife left a note. Both of our mothers were waitresses, and my grandparents owned restaurants.. and even at a simple diner this would not have been acceptable..

“We ate at the Barry Road location on Jan 16, 2025. Everything was fantastic! We were immediately greeted by our waiter with chips and salsa. He took our drink order and the exceptional service just kept getting better. Drinks and chips were always full. My husband ordered the burrito and taco special and I had the Quesaburrias. Oh my word were they good! I typically order the quesaburrias if they are offered at other restaurants and these were by far the best I've had. The consomme' was exceptionally seasoned which of course made the beef very tasty. My husband was pleased with his meal as well. The quality and value here are unmatched. A certain burrito bowl and kids choice taco meal with chips and guac and a large queso cost the same to deliver as two catfish combos, a chicken strip combo and three drinks a shake and a chicken leg and mashed potatoes and gravy. The okra covered the entire bottom of the container, my daughter's chicken strip side, cheese fries came in it's own container and it was FULL. It took the driver 17 minutes to get here and the fish was still hot and the breading was still crispy e to enjoy. They didn't forget the sauces either! Also, they have strawberry Fanta.... bonus points. Again. I can't say enough. You have got to try this place.“
