“Usually great food, and we est here often. However, last week we were 100% dissatisfied! First, the entire meal was late, they had to substitute knots for garlic bread, waited forever and the calzone had literally one piece of meat about 1"x1.5" and what looked like a mozzarella stick for cheese. The meal was gross, late, over cooked and not what we ordered or paid for. So disappointed. Since it is a long drive we regularly make I doubt we will be returning. $34 meal wasted.“

The manager, Ashley, went above and beyond and interacted with our daughters. Showed them the kitchen, gave them stickers, and printed them their own personalized cartoon characters to color with while they waited. AND brought them out bowls of ice cream to decorate for dessert! What an awesome experience it was for us!“

“Absolutely PHENOMENAL!!! Our group of 14 arrived here today at the Shawnee location for lunch. We were met by friendly staff and seated right away. Once we ordered our food, it arrived quickly! We were impressed! All 14 orders were correct, served hot and fresh, and so good!! Great size portions! The service was absolutely great! Refills were quick. The atmosphere is so fun! We all enjoyed our food arriving by train. The kids had a great time. and only 2 little ones had a nugget and few fries left. Everyone devoured their food. It's definitely a must experience! But what was best about our experience getting food here was that when my mother left her wallet sitting somewhere in the restaurant while waiting for our food, she got distracted and forgot it! She didn’t even realize until way late at night after close. Thankfully, whoever was working that evening noticed the wallet and put it away for safekeeping and my mother was able to get it back the following morning. She was extremely grateful and we admire the honesty and integrity of the employee and business! So glad they noticed the wallet and are clearly paying attention to their restaurant.“

“This restaurant California Taco Shop was recommended to me by a local Kansas City KS resident… and wow were they right! If you’re looking for a real Mexican food lunch this is the place. My main dish was Steak Chicken and Shrimp Fajitas which was perfect with the right amount of spicy ness. It was less than $15 but the reason my acquaintance recommended this restaurant was the pickled carrots on the salsa bar! Yup they were delicious!“

A medium heat should have a strong kick, and the hot sauce should be a flavor experience beyond the heat factor. Their sauces were great! The prices are great and the food is really good! “My go to spot for fried chicken gizzards. The fried liver is also good. The flavor on the fry is 10/10, and the gizzards have the perfect bouncy chew inside without being tough. Great on its own or with the sweet/spicy sauce you get with an order.

One tiny gripe is we sat almost under vents in the ceiling by the front door and they need cleaned bad. I think I saw a piece of lint fall when a family opened the door. Idk where the photos that are on here from before came from but please disregard that other ones because this was perfect! I am a huge critic and I honestly thought I was going to be disappointed because I looked at the gogole review photos after I placed my order....and I am absolutely impressed. The quality and value here are unmatched. A certain burrito bowl and kids choice taco meal with chips and guac and a large queso cost the same to deliver as two catfish combos, a chicken strip combo and three drinks a shake and a chicken leg and mashed potatoes and gravy. The okra covered the entire bottom of the container, my daughter's chicken strip side, cheese fries came in it's own container and it was FULL. It took the driver 17 minutes to get here and the fish was still hot and the breading was still crispy e to enjoy. They didn't forget the sauces either! Also, they have strawberry Fanta.... bonus points. Again. I can't say enough. You have got to try this place.“

Very polite, seated us fast took our order like a pro read it back to us ( mind you I have little ones with me, a party of 3 adults 3 kids). Kept checking on us, non stop refills, food came out fast and was delicious. He made our experience more enjoyable than the last few times we were there!!! I wish I would’ve caught his name.
