“Best Chinese food. Always clean and the food is always good. Been eating here for many years. If anyone complains, that means there trying to get something for free. Or there trying to steer business else were. I read the bad comments and they are fat lies.“

“Best place in town to watch any type of games on TV. Anywhere you sit you have a great view of the game. Beer is cold and many varieties on tap and in bottles, I have never been disappointed with my food choice and have tried almost everything on the menu. Friendly staff, fast, attentive service you won’t be disappointed, enjoy!“
“I recently attended the Basil Hayden culinary tasting at the James B. Beam Distilling Company in Clermont, Kentucky, and it exceeded every expectation. From the moment I stepped into the historic Baker Beam home, the warm hospitality and authentic atmosphere set the tone for an unforgettable afternoon.
The Tasting
The experience began with a brief, engaging walkthrough of the distillery’s heritage, led by a knowledgeable member of the Beam family. We were then invited to sit at a beautifully set table where four carefully selected expressions of Basil Hayden—ranging from the smooth, lightly spiced original to the richer Dark Rye—were poured in precise, tasting‑size pours. Each pour was introduced with clear notes on barrel entry proof, aging, and bottling proof, allowing us to appreciate the subtle evolution of flavor across the lineup.
Food Pairings
What truly distinguished this experience was the thoughtfully curated small‑bite menu, designed to complement the bourbon’s profile. Every bite arrived promptly, allowing ample time to savor the bourbon before moving on to the next pairing. The chef also offered optional wine and non‑alcoholic pairings for those who wanted a broader palate experience.
Atmosphere & Service
The setting—an intimate, historic house surrounded by the rolling Kentucky hills—added a sense of authenticity that modern tasting rooms often lack. The staff were attentive without being intrusive, constantly checking that glasses remained at optimal temperature and that each guest felt comfortable exploring the flavors.
Overall Impression
The Basil Hayden culinary tasting is more than just a bourbon sampling; it’s a curated journey through flavor, history, and craftsmanship. Whether you’re a seasoned bourbon enthusiast or a curious newcomer, the experience offers a perfect blend of education, indulgence, and hospitality. I left feeling both enlightened about the nuances of Basil Hayden and delighted by the overall experience—a true testament to the Beam family’s dedication to quality and tradition.
Highly recommended for anyone seeking an immersive, flavorful, and memorable bourbon experience.“

“We visited here for a birthday party earlier today. The girl who waited on us was named Kaylee. She was fantastic. However there were 30+ of us and she was running the show alone. The kitchen mixed up our food and we had missing food. She was running 95% of the food to us and got ALL of our drinks by herself. She was the only server assigned to us and she did ALL the work. As a server myself for 10+ years that's absolutely ridiculous. I've always shared a party that large with another server and if for some reason I was on my own my coworkers helped me with drinks and helped run food. She had no team players except ONE time a young lady helped by bringing two appetizers to the table. A manager should always come see how service and food is before the party leaves and we didn't see a manager for the 3 hours we were there. Thank you to Kaylee for handling the party on her own, you were fantastic ma'am.“

“My boyfriend and I absolutely love sake blue! It has become one of our favorite comfort foods and after a long day we decided to stop in. 10/10 experience and much needed. We had Lily as our server and they were PHENOMENAL! Fast and friendly service, when our drinks were empty or empty dishes on the table they were on top of it, and good conversation as well! We highly recommend the steak tataki appetizer 😋“

“Pizza's are great but tried a few new to us things for New Years and what a disappointment. Fries were obviously old and had been sitting under a heat lamp or similar. Threw them out after first taste. Whole Garlic "Loaf" was a sub roll cut in half. All of 6"-7" long. For it's price, not worth it either. Chocolate silk pie ($19.99) more crust than pie fillings. Save your money and just buy one from Kroger/Walmart/Meijers.“

“Our favorite Thai in Louisville, this family run restaurant in front of the Glenmary community has many great menu options to choose from. My favorite entrees are Jalapeno Beef, Drunken Noodle Beef, and Sweet snd Sour Chicken. My wife loves both the chicken and vegetarian versions of Pad Thai. Several nice curry options are also offerred. The chicken satay, pork dumplings and spring rolls are all great appetizers. Not on the menu but also available are fresh "summer rolls": lettuce, shrimp, pork and rice noodles wrapped in rice paper. And when I am especially hungry, spicy sour shrimp soup as a starter is also delicious. Their black rice pudding dessert is fantastic as well! Best Thai food in Louisville at any price, but the prices here are a great value in these difficult times!“

“Corporate failure all the way. Tried to use Dodger’s win coupon. Wasted a hour. I wasn’t logged in. I was and still failure. I went to pay full price. Individual on duty apologized but he was not at fault. I told him I would never purchase Jets again. A regular customer that orders the same each time I expected better.Have no fear your competitors are closing stores at a record rate. Hope Jets joins the “conga line”Have a Happy Thanksgiving.

“Good bar food, great patrons to shoot pool with, and even karaoke?! Not much more I can personally ask for with a bar. (A professional custom martini list would be all.) They have it going on here. Probably my favorite bar in Louisville, thus far. Will be back! Shoutout to the bartenders, especially Maddie.“

“This place is truly amazing!!! If I could rate the food 20 out of 10, I would. I came here a couple of years ago and I agree with some of the other reviews on here that it needed some work, but they have taken all of that criticism and made the best of it because when I tell you everything I have ordered (both on Friday and today, Sunday, because the food was THAT good) was perfection! I got the chicken street tacos (shown in the picture) with both corn (Friday) and flour tortillas (today) and both were 120% in my book. The chicken was seasoned and cooked to perfection! My meal also came with rice and beans and when I say it was one of the best Mexican rice and refried beans I have ever tasted, I mean it. I was very critical on my food because I personally was not a fan of the rice or the chicken the last time I came here over a year ago. My husband got the ground beef chimichangas (didn’t get a picture) and the beef was also seasoned and cooked to perfection! We are very picky eaters and asked for the queso on the side, red enchilada sauce on the side and the substitution of flour instead of corn tortillas, but they didn’t forget any of our special requests and everything was in the bag on Friday and also today, which in my eyes is worth an extra star since I didn’t have to go back in or drive back up to the store to get what they forgot.
If you have tried this place in the past and have a bad opinion on it, please give it another shot! You will not regret it, it’s amazing!“

“Hands down our favorite pizza place in town! We always have great service from all the staff, regardless If we're dining in or carryout but recently we've had the same waitress, Jill on a few different occasions and she has been so wonderful, kind and extremely attentive. The lunch specials can't be beat and they have one of the best house salads around. When I get lunch carryout I always order the house salad and personal pan pizza. The salad is so large that I always get 2 sometimes 3 servings out of it. I always get the bbq base instead of pizza sauce and add extra pineapple and extra cheese. It is my favorite pizza ever! We also will get the brewmaster which is their meat pizza and it has always been delicious as well.“

“We met friends at this new restaurant and really enjoyed it. There is a small eating area, and it seems to do a good carry out business, too. We all ordered different dishes and each was prepared fresh and brought hot to our table. The Crab Rangoon was very good, and the steamed chicken and vegetables was, too. Won Ton soup was a full bowl and looked good. Rice was good, egg rolls- ok.\nThe staff seemed friendly and helpful, when ordering and serving. I would definitely go there again.“

““Dear Yvonna (Derby Hangover Blues)” (Up-tempo country swing / 110 BPM) Key: G Major Chord Progression: * Verse: G – C – G – D * Chorus: G – D – Em – C * Bridge: Em – C – G – D ⸻ 🎸 Verse 1 Woke up feelin’ like a horse ran through my head, Mint julep memories barely hangin’ by a thread, Boots still muddy, suit don’t smell right, Louisville morning after a long Derby night. Stumbled in hungry, half alive, half gone, That’s when we met sweet Yvonna at Cracker Barrel, Coffee hit the table like a miracle cure, And my cousin from up north said, “Dear… I’m sure.” ⸻ 🥓 Chorus Ohhh Dear Yvonna, savin’ souls one plate at a time, Biscuits and gravy like a holy sign, Smilin’ through the chaos, calm and sweet, While my cousin kept sayin’ “Dear” on repeat. From the Derby dust to that front porch chair, Best dang service anywhere— If heaven’s got breakfast, I swear it’s there… And you’ll hear somebody callin’, “Dear… Dear…” ⸻ ☕ Verse 2 He said “Dear” for coffee, “Dear” for toast, “Dear, you’re the best!” — said it at least a hundred most, She didn’t flinch, just laughed it off, Kept the refills comin’ like a southern boss. Eggs just right, bacon crisp and loud, Whole place buzzin’, Derby weekend crowd, She kept it movin’, didn’t miss a beat, Even made hangovers feel kinda sweet. ⸻ 🍳 Chorus Ohhh Dear Yvonna, runnin’ that floor like a queen, Fastest hands this side of Churchill green, Kindness strong as that first black brew, And yeah… my cousin fell in love with you. From the Derby dust to that front porch chair, Best dang service anywhere— If grace had a uniform, you’d wear it there… And he’d still be sayin’, “Dear… Dear…” ⸻ 🎻 Bridge (spoken / comedic) “Dear… can I get some more syrup?” “Dear… you got hot sauce?” “Dear… you ever come up north?” (band kicks back in) ⸻ 🎸 Final Chorus (big finish) Ohhh Dear Yvonna, MVP of Derby Day, Turned a rough mornin’ all the way, Five-star service, no doubt, no fear, Even handled “Dear” about a thousand times this year. Yeah from Louisville love to that breakfast fare, We’ll be back ‘cause you were rare— And if you hear footsteps… just prepare… It’s him again goin’, “Deaaaarrr…”“

“We’ve been coming to this restaurant for years, and the quality and service have always been excellent. The staff is welcoming, attentive, and always makes us feel appreciated every time we visit.
The food is consistently fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly, whether dining in or ordering takeout. The portions are generous, and you can tell they truly care about both the food and customer experience.
It’s rare to find a restaurant that stays this consistent over the years, but this place absolutely does. Clean atmosphere, great service, and amazing food every time. Definitely a well-deserved 5-star restaurant.“
