“One of the best places around for some home cooking you'll find in all of LA. The shrimp omelette here is the best I've ever had, hands down. The veggie omelette is also very good, I love the detail they put into cutting up all the fresh veggies making the omelette that much better. I've been coming here for 10 years now, and the food never disappoints. Tuna steak was particularly great, but there was a huge variety on this menu. And they have special menu items all the time as well. You'd be hard pressed to find a better restaurant connected to the gas station anywhere in the US. And if you're looking for quick snacks while you fill up, they have it all, from gator bites, boudin, egg rolls, sandwiches, even really good sushi. If you're traveling on LA-23 you should definitely stop here, I assure you.“

My favorite is their gyro plate with hummus that is enough food for an entree that it can be shared or enjoyed again with leftovers. In addition to the restaurant, they have a grocery store with all sorts of tea, coffee, candies, and other items from the region plus a hookah lounge. “I was in Tremé for four days, and I ate and drank coffee at Fatmas each and every single one of those days. The coffee was amazing. The food was delicious and their pastries were just beautiful. I loved the atmosphere and the outside seating. There’s even a couple of open windows where you can just stand and look out and feel the breeze while you’re waiting for your food. I wish that I lived closer so that I could go there every day.“

“I came here because of a recommendation, and I am SO glad I did. Customer service was exceptional, baristas were incredibly friendly. It's located in a small mini mart with a bagel/deli type establishment. I believe they get their coffee from Pretty Coffee. I ordered a plain drip and a hot vanilla latte. They have whole and oat milk, and offer vanilla, lavender, maple and mocha syrups. Drip is very smooth and has a nice mouth feel. Espresso is very good as well. Milk texture on my latte was perfect. I also ordered a bag of their coffee. You get a card for a free coffee when you buy their coffee beans.“

“I'm recommending the gazebo because I've always loved going here and never had any issues with the food, until yesterday. We waited on two drinks for 25 minutes and two meals for 45 minutes. The food was inedible, both poboys were doused in salt and the chicken wasn't cooked properly. I informed the server that it wasn't cooked and I couldn't eat it and she couldn't have cared less. We paid $70 for food that was left on the plate. Extremely disappointed and hoping it was just a bad day.“

Now on my 2nd visit, Jasmine not only remembered me but asked where was my husband. She not only remembered us but what we ate. As I dined alone, she went out of her way to make me feel comfortable! “Small little coffee spot inside a cool looking and smelling deli. The drinks are made to order and you are the priority when the gentleman is making your choice beverage. I happen to walk in just based off the sign for the coffee inside. I had an iced americano and it was delicious. Highly recommended.“
