“On our first visit in Marrero, Jasmine was our waitress. My husband has to have limitations with his food choices. No problem, Jasmine helped with suggestions and the cook prepared it perfectly. Now on my 2nd visit, Jasmine not only remembered me but asked where was my husband. She not only remembered us but what we ate. As I dined alone, she went out of her way to make me feel comfortable! And then as I placed a take-out order for my husband, she had suggestions due to his salt restrictions in his diet. What a memory! In my life, I have NEVER met anyone with such a remarkable memory - and she is so kind and helpful. We will be regulars now. Jasmine - here we come. Thank you for helping us so much!!! “Oh, how do I love this little place, let me count the ways. I finally had the chance to go yesterday after passing it by for years and not having the opportunity to give it a shot since I was going to or coming from place to place and it was adorable. The cafe itself is small and cozy and it feels very out of the 2000s (that said, please don't change a thing! it's charming!). The food and drink were quickly served and the employees were efficient and sweet. There is an array of customizable items, such as drinks and breakfast sandwiches. All day breakfast too which is awesome for those of us who think it's the best meal.“

“I ordered the Hungry Man's Stack. They have very good big thick pancakes, perhaps the best. The eggs and hash browns were as expected and the portion tamed this hungry man. So much so that I couldn't fit that good looking apple fritter calling to me. Maybe next time.“

“I was in Tremé for four days, and I ate and drank coffee at Fatmas each and every single one of those days. The coffee was amazing. The food was delicious and their pastries were just beautiful. I loved the atmosphere and the outside seating. There’s even a couple of open windows where you can just stand and look out and feel the breeze while you’re waiting for your food. I wish that I lived closer so that I could go there every day.“

In addition to the restaurant, they have a grocery store with all sorts of tea, coffee, candies, and other items from the region plus a hookah lounge. Miss Loretta’s Pralines are better than chocolate and her Praline Stuffed beignets are better than the “other very popular place!” I also love the Jesus signs!! I wish I would have bought more!“
