“Very cool dive bar. Frozen Irish Coffee is the bomb (add the shot).
Killer PoBoys was amazing. Had the seared shrimp. Devoured.
FYI. The bar and food are separate with the food closing earlier than the bar.“

“We were blown away on our first visit this morning!! Ryan is a talented mixologist in the bar creating beautiful, delicious and truly unique drinks. Our server Louis was incredibly charming and attentive, giving us excellent menu choices —as it was a hard decision. Every dish was a work of art—both in presentation and flavor. The whole experience was top-notch, and we can’t wait to come back!“

“Have been a Chart Room patron for many years. It's pretty much a plain ol' bar with great juke box and veteran bartenders serving typically strong and inexpensive drinks. About half locals, half out-of-town visitors, most of the out-of-towners being frequent NOLA visitors. At one time I suspected that a few of the regular characters were sent over by Central Casting, but have been going there long enough to now know they're genuine. A recent ownership change, but based on my last visit, no discernible (to me) change.“

“Amazing bar, amazing roast beef po-boys. Never miss their annual St. Patrick’s block parties. There’s usually two. For 2025, Not positive if it’s on Thursday, March the 13 or Friday the 14th, but for sure on Monday the 17th, 2025. Perhaps Admin can make a list??“

“Cozy ambience with a unique, delicious drink menu. They also offer their kitchen to local food businesses, and the Asian fusion one there when I went was phenomenal. Donavin makes a wonderful drink called “Thank You for Being a Friend” with Louisiana run, almond, passionfruit, and smoky amaro – must try! I was in town for the Home + Garden Show, and Barrel Proof was the perfect unwind!“

“If you’re looking for the ultimate bar experience in New Orleans, look no further than The Drinkery. This place has everything you could want from a classic French Quarter bar—a vibrant atmosphere, incredible live music, and hands down, the best bartender in town: Jeffery!
The live band here is phenomenal. They’re masters of their craft, creating the perfect blend of soul, blues, and jazz that embodies the spirit of New Orleans. The musicians are clearly passionate about their performance, playing with energy that pulls you right onto the dance floor.
And then there’s Jeffery—the legend behind the bar.“

“A very dive-bar atmosphere, but with charm. I really enjoyed my time here. The drinks were moderately priced and made with care and consideration. My friend requested a gin drink and the bartender asked her a bunch of questions about her taste preferences and made her a fantastic drink. They have an extremely extensive whiskey selection and have Whiskey Wednesday discounts on all the options. The bartender was super friendly too.“

“Pete Scherer was my great uncle. I remember when I was a little girl my great grandma (Pete's sister, Irene) and my nanny (Eileen) used to take me to the bar to see Uncle Pete every Saturday after dancing school. It really is great to see that the place he loved so much is still open. ❤“

“Stopped infor the first time yesterday and couldn't believe what I have been missing! I had the BEST Bloody Mary I've had in years, and the frozen concoction they were serving tasted like heaven. We will definitely be making this a regular stop.“

“An absolute gem of a bar - by far my favourite spot from our visit to New Orleans. David and Vincent were both absolute gentlemen - we received one of the friendliest welcomes we've ever been lucky enough to receive and spent the evening swapping stories and writing down recommendations. If you're looking for an authentic dive bar bursting with southern hospitality and festive charm, look no further.“

“Live music most nights and rarely a cover. Hefty cocktails, good beer selection. Decent prices. Friendly bartenders who know where the milkbones are kept.
It's the neighborhood bar that's been on the River Road on the Westbank of the Mississippi in New Orleans for decades.
Good bands.
Off the NOLA beaten path and worth it.
Longest running Open Mic Night in the city. 12+ years on Wednesday nights. Good weekend afternoon acts too.
Parking: Great local bar with a friendly atmosphere and good music.
Yes, dance floor and ample stage for bigger bands, and a good sound system.“
“A welcoming bar with friendly staff. We felt right at home the minute we walked in.“

“I love Café Negril. I only did 4 stars, though, because the drinks are a bit overpriced and the bathroom could have been a bit cleaner, however.... the atmosphere is amazing, the music is great and the tacos are delicious! I will return for sure!“
“Courtney was/is an awesome bartender. She knew exactly what she was doing and she was real quick to provide tourist information and recommended some excellent stops.

“Cool spot! I was disappointed they were out of the draft beer I wanted. The beignets I had here were the best I had while in NOLA.
The roof area was lackluster. The floor was a little rickety and the seating court use some love. The bar area was cool.
My wife and I found ourselves wanting to go earlier but they didn't open until 4pm. On another night we made our way up there, just to find the close at 10pm. Short range of hours.“

“We discovered this bar by chance while walking around the Quarter- Lucky us! Kevin was very welcoming, friendly and helpful. We were enjoying local IPAs on tap when another customer raved about their sangria. Kevin had just made a new batch in front of me so I couldn't resist. It was awesome- and you'll see many other reviewers saying the same thing. The bar is clean and in a great spot about a block from Bourbon St.(just far enough to escape the sensory overload) with bar seating, tall tables, and a lower level with more seating. Stop in for a sangria (or whatever you enjoy) and say "hi" to Kevin!“

“We found this bar by chance while seeking shelter from the rain. It has a quirky theme centered around toilets, which adds a fun touch. Keep in mind, they only accept cash. The drinks here are big and pack a punch, starting at around $6 for basic options. Expect to mingle with a local crowd.“
“Bartenders are awesome!! Especially to out of town customers. They make you feel like one of the regulars, like a resident. Absolutely one of the best customer service I've ever had.“

“Blown away by the amazing service and the even better unforgettable food. I could write a thousand word review for the food alone. Ordered every appetizer available then had to order seconds before we even got into the menu. This is real Louisiana food made fresh with all homemade sauces. This will be a must return to place when we go back to New Orleans.“

“I live close by and have passed this place so many times on the way to work but never had the time to stop in until today cos I wanted a fun place to go to celebrate my birthday and I've never been one for the maddening crowd that goes along with the vibe that Bourbon St. has. This place is absolutely a great little gem for those who just want to relax and have a drink. The bartender is a complete sweetheart and so friendly, the drinks are very affordable AND strong and I very much enjoyed celebrating my birthday there! It's kind of like the New Orleans version of Cheers LOL I just hope at some point they will have karaoke on the weekends but I will definitely be frequenting there more often from now on.“
