“20240331 The beignets are good, a little dense, and filling. I have wanted to stop here the last 2 days, and I went to Coffee Call and also PJ'S Coffee New Orleans in Lafayette. PJ'S beignets are flakey and the best compared to this place and Coffee Call. The employees are more on the quiet side and polite. The hot chocolate is good, not as sweet as Coffee Call. I'm glad I stopped by before heading home.“
“This is the only soul food establishment in Ascension Parish (Louisiana), to my knowledge. The food is great, especially the lasagna, and the customer service is awesome. I definitely recommend that you check this place out if you’re looking for a home cooked meal.“

“Went for a work lunch with a large group, since the buffet is an easy choice. The food was pretty solid, not a ton of options, but a decent variety (not for vegetarian folks have to say!) The staff was super accommodating so I don't want to knock their service, they were fantastic. The room itself is beautiful but it is SO LOUD. Like, I could barely carry a conversation with the person next to me loud. It was honestly just a lot. I don't think I'd go back unless I was there touring the property (and didn't want to splurge for the fancier restaurant). The grounds are stunning, and there's a lot to do on site, I do want to go back and see the rest.“
“I wouldn't have never noticed this place if it wasn't for someone recommending it to me and I am so thankful they did. We were in town for a trip and stopped by and it was so comfortable and warm. The art was beautiful and they even have a little library inside. I plan on coming back many times to try more of the menu but the shrimp quesadillas and tomato and basil soup was delicious! I also tried their watermelon tea. It was delicious (warning for their flavored tea they use unsweet tea so just ask for it sweet) The quesadilla had shrimp, onions, bell peppers, cheese, and this sauce that was just delicious. The soup also came with this red tortilla (I think) that was cut into strips. We also got side fries that were so yummy. When we were done we placed a second order to bring some home. I honestly can't sing their praises enough!“
