Honestly we were pretty skeptical at first, but we were extremy delighted by the very tasy, delicious food and warm and nice atmosphere. We loved it so much that we decided to stop by the next day again before we went to the airport! We met Jeorge and Kyle who are very professional, polite and nice guys. They helped us choose from their very interesting and outstanding pizza flavors. We have never tried such delicious pizza before. Also the big variety draft beers was very impressive. “When visiting a French restaurant expectations are high. The food tends to be exquisite and some dishes are here. The Foie Gras is amazing and so are all the deserts we tried. However the escargot which is something I always try at French restaurants was only ok.The service varies on who your server is as we had friends who came to the restaurant after we sat and we ordered before they even got their menus and yet they had their appetizers first. When looking for someone to call for a refill and even when we wanted the menus for desert, it is very difficult to catch anyone looking at your table as if each waiter will only look at their own table only. On the bright side they brought us water as soon as we sat and refilled it often. That is how I would get someone's attention...finish my water so someone could come by and I could ask for something.The place is very small and you will have to be a party of two and be lucky to get a table without a reservation, which is what happened with our friends..who came in a little after we sat and were hoping they could sit with us, but with such little space it seemed unlikely they would even be able to get a table but as they were asking a table for two was leaving.Its rather on the expensive side which can be understood with the quality of some of the dishes, however I would except everything to be great for these prices.Its a good place with potential to be great.“

The restaurant was packed and initially thought we would need to wait an hour for a table . We proceed to the bar where we were seated almost immediately! Darren was our bartender. I’ve been a bit disappointed lately when I go into high-end cocktail bars, and they don’t have ingredients I need for making my favorite drinks. Not only was this bartender excellent and knowledgeable, but as I was naming my favorite drink, he knew it, and he loved it as well. I ordered off the menu though, and enjoyed the “kitty’s got claws” because I am a big Mezcal fan and it looked interesting. It was beautifully balanced.Then I saw him making what I thought was a corpse reviver, and we talked a bit about that, and I was thrilled that he knew how to make one, so as I watched him making one for somebody else. I ordered it as my second drink. I know I’m supposed to be reviewing the food, and I will get to that, but a quality bartender, who is interesting and fun, and above all… Knowledgeable, is a very big part of an experience that has a full bar. Bravo, to this bartender! I only wish I remembered his name.On to the food. Interesting interpretation of tapas. Especially the cabbage, which was different than any presentation I have had before. A large piece, braised perfectly, with a creamy sauce. Patatas bravas were an interesting take as well. Often they are either too small with a bit of sauce smothered on them or they are too big and only spiced a little bit. These were a great size and they were seasoned, but did not have any sauce on them, which is wonderful. And then there was some romesco sauce (made of tomatoes and roasted red peppers, and usually almonds) on the side; a really great interpretation of this classic Spanish dish. (Note that a typical bravas sauce has smoked paprika and tomato paste) and I really enjoyed the romesco as a nice change. We also had a lamb slider, which was big enough for lunch for one person. So keep that in mind when ordering. It was actually halfway between the size of a slider and a regular burger. Also, the homemade focaccia was very fluffy! The rosemary butter is a good compliment.Atmosphere is cute. Loud and bustling and definitely not the type of place that is quiet and you can hear the forks clinking. Really great vibe. Wonderful neighborhood place. We lived in JP for years and raised our kids here and it was great to come back and see this new (to us!) restaurant in the neighborhood.“

“This restaurant has been a fixture on Route 20 in Wayland since the 1930’s (formerly known as the ‘Red Coach Grill’)! My fiance and I have driven by countless times and always say how we would love to stop in one day for a meal, well, we finally did and after dinner agreed this was easily one of the best meals we’ve had so far in 2024!The inside of the restaurant is so warm and welcoming with dark wood and leather throughout and when we were seated by the fireplace, that is attended to all night, we were introduced to our server, Andrea, who has worked at the Coach Grill for 23 years! She shared some of the lore of the restaurant and guided us through the menu pointing out popular dishes and her favorites, many that are original recipes (like the corn pudding, Andrea told us that people come just for that side dish!)Here’s a rundown of our order:- NEGRONI - gin, campari, vermouth- MAINE LUNCH IPA- CALAMARI MILANO - fried or grilled, garlic, parmesan, basil aioli (order this ‘grilled’ - the calamari and peppers are put in a grill basket over charcoal and it is a gamechanger, I may never order fried calamari again!)- BEEF WELLINGTON - filet mignon, mushroom duxelles, sauce périgueux- BONE-IN RIBEYE with GREEN BEANS and CORN PUDDING- CISCO BREWERS GREY LADY- PROFITEROLES - pate a choux puff, ice cream, chocolate sauceThe servings were large and so delicious, we enjoyed our dinner at the restaurant and leftovers the next night! There were tiny pieces all over me, he was super apologetic and luckily there was no food in front of me yet, but I’m disappointed nothing further was done about it. He wasn’t our server. From my online booking experience (love being able to book a 11 person reservation online no problem!), to the great seating area (private corner so it felt so intimate even though the restaurant was packed), and last but not least, to the service! Mason was incredible! We had a large party with many people coming and going at different times. Somehow he managed to time our cocktails and food perfectly and handle many different tabs with ease. “One of the first places me and my boyfriend went to while he was visiting Boston. The steak was flavorful and buttery, and the sides were up to par. The tots!!! So so good. Our drinks were exactly according to our taste. I like sweeter drinks so the bar made a drink just for me. We enjoyed the dishes overall and appreciated that you could get a glimpse into the kitchen from the dining room. What we ordered: - Tuna crudo: Interesting flavors. The fish tasted fresh but could have used some more acidity. - Fried hen-of-the-woods mushrooms: Nice, crisp, and well seasoned. - Sautéed heirloom carrots: The carrots were nicely cooked but the glaze was a bit too sweet. - Seared scallops: The scallops were perfectly seared and paired well with the lentils and sauce. - Phyllo-wrapped cod: We were surprised how crispy this was even though it was sitting in the sauce. The lobster stew was full of flavor. One of our favorites of the night. - Seafood risotto: The risotto was well cooked but the dish could have included more seafood. - Lemon pepper half chicken: The juices of the chicken soaked into the beets to make a delicious bite.“

I ordered the chicken quesadilla, which was very juicy and jam-packed with minced pieces of fajita vegetables. It was delicious and cheesy. Every ingredient was very fresh and of good quality. It came with a side of cheesy refried beans, which were incredible! They were so good I'd honestly order them on their own. Wow! My girlfriend reported that her Bahn Mi sandwich was good, but a little on the hotter side. If you're a spice lover like me, though, that is a perk! She came and asked again can she get me something different I explain to her why Im willing to keep it . As I just came back from a mission in South Africa. And saw some many people without food. And it breaks my heart to waste food. She understood my feeling and allow me to take the food to give to a homeless person. Then, Dami convinced me to get a different pasta dish name Fettuccine alla Bolognese. This was so good and I was very happy that she convince me to try it. ?? So my sister enjoyed Arancini ball dish with pink vodka sauce which was amazing. We both will order this next time we come. My sister main dish was salmon with a creamy rice sauce and artichokes. She said it was good. After eating all this...We decided on cannolis and tiramisu as our dessert. Then, Dami the manger came out with a big dessert platter.
