The space was beautiful, and I was able to decorate it exactly how I wanted. Our servers were extremely attentive, the food and drinks were amazing, and everything ran smoothly. “We had an incredible experience at Grill 23 & Bar — easily the best steakhouse we’ve been to in Boston. From start to finish, everything was exceptional. The food was phenomenal. We ordered both the filet mignon and the ribeye, and each steak was perfectly cooked, flavorful, and truly outstanding. The sides were just as memorable — the macaroni and cheese was rich and comforting, the Brussels sprouts were perfectly prepared, and the mashed potatoes were smooth and delicious. Adding the Béarnaise sauce on the side was absolutely worth it and paired beautifully with the steaks. Dessert was the perfect ending: warm chocolate chip cookies served with vanilla ice cream — simple, classic, and done flawlessly. A huge highlight of the evening was our waiter, Bernardo. We will absolutely be requesting him on future visits. He offered thoughtful suggestions, anticipated our needs effortlessly, and somehow managed to be there exactly when we needed him — and never when we didn’t, if that makes sense. “Pizza is really good and both appetizers we shared were delicious, enough for 6 people.

Why I wasnt a big fan of this place:
1. My white wine wasnt very chilled and my friend’s paloma cocktail wasnt a hit.
2. And before it has been 1.5 hours even they just brought the check to the table which is kind of a mood killer for me.
3. When I asked to get black pepper for the pizzas, one waiter said we dont have it…. then a few minutes later it was brought in a little dish - how do you not have peppper in a pizza restaurant?“

“Hands down one of the best steakhouses in Boston. The service was amazing from start to finish, really friendly and on point. The smoky steak tartare was absolutely incredible—full of flavor and unlike anything I’ve had before. I also highly recommend the Wagyu cap, it’s totally worth it. The sides were just as good, especially the lobster mac & cheese and the wedge salad. Everything came together for a seriously great meal.“

Not only was he super friendly and fun to talk to but he also suggested some things for the table that ended up being the favorite of the evening amongst the group. Truly great food experience made even better by great hospitality from him!

The cocktails were so delicious and well crafted, make sure you try the Northern Lights! There is something on the menu for everyone, whether you want snacks to share or a stunner of a meal. Can't wait to be back and see Davis again!“

Food: We enjoyed everything we ordered, but the standouts were the fried mozzarella and the pastas. The fried mozzarella was perfectly crispy on the outside and gooey throughout. Then the rigatoni bolognese and the spicy lobster pasta were the ideal choices for the two of us. We especially loved the chew and texture of the fresh pasta.

Service: This was the definition of seamless. The staff always had a purpose when they came by and it felt like we were being looked after. No moments of awkwardly wanting to ask for the dessert menu or the check.

Atmosphere: We couldn’t stop looking at all the amazing decor. Our window seats especially had great soft lighting. All the fixtures and elegant colors matched the high quality of the food.“
