The atmosphere was great and I have to give a big shout out to our waitress Rachel, who was a total sweetheart and very accommodating, as well as Tori, who took over as our waitress when Rachel's shift was over. “My husband and I sat outside and had a lovely snack in the sun, away from most of the hustle & bustle that October brings to Salem. We thoroughly enjoyed the butternut squash hummus, falafel, and cauliflower & quinoa tabouleh but the real highlight for us was the apple cider! Holy. It was the best we had on our trip around New England. Not too sweet, served nice & hot, lightly spiced and so, so good! The service was wonderful as well! “Amazing! The Reuben blew my mind and the fries are wicked flavorful. We ate here every single day of our Salem stay and it still didn’t feel like I got enough of it. Their desserts are so good. The whoopie pies, chocolate and funfetti, remind me of childhood. I also had the chocolate and vanilla cupcakes…chefs kisses all around. The husband said the cookies were great and had several every night for a bedtime snack. They had peanut butter chocolate chip and traditional chocolate chip. Both were winners! We tried the Reuben, turkey wrap, chicken sandwich, steak sandwich, and desserts. Everything was great. We did not have one item that didn’t taste great. Make this one of your must visit stops if you’re in Salem!”

“Went to On the Grind this morning after seeing a post about them having a coconut bagel. The ladies behind the counter are very nice and know each of their regular customers. I watched them greet many and knew exactly what they were going to order or already had a preorder waiting. I ordered the coconut bagels for my son and I. One with regular cream cheese and one with pineapple cream cheese and they did not disappoint!!! The coconut bagel with pineapple was delicious and not overly sweet and lots of toasted coconut. Highly recommend trying this little hidden gem!”

“Kokeshi is in residency with Bambolina (a wood-fired pizza joint, also delicious) and it's perfect! My husband and I (and our puppy, Dexter) stopped in for lunch on Wednesday and were treated to a wonderful meal with an awesome server and comfortable outdoor seating. I had the Spicy White Kimchi Ramen and my husband had the Margherita pizza. Both were amazing! I highly recommend stopping in when in Salem!”

Staff was super friendly, but I was surprised that we were 2 of 4 patrons in the whole place at 6:45pm on a Sunday. “We were looking for a place to watch the Lions game while in town visiting Salem. This bar was recommended to us by someone we met in Gloucester. The bar's atmosphere small, well put together, clean and welcoming Irish pub. We met the owner who made us feel like we were long lost friends. Service was attentive and consistent. We went back 2 nights in a row. Thank you, to the staff and Kieran for being great! Definitely recommend checking this place out while in town.”

I am so glad they did as the lobster roll was fresh and cooked well. It tasted perfect without overloading it with butter like most places do. The crab nachos were a good starter.”

“I am a huge fan of key lime pie and have sampled it at pretty much every opportunity. Each time, I find something that isn’t an A+. The crust is too grainy or crumbly, the bakery has added meringue (which I like on lemon but not lime), or—and this is the most common offender—there is entirely too much lime in the recipe. But the key lime pie I had at Caramel was exceptional in every possible way, especially in its balance of lime flavor. I didn’t try anything else there, so I can’t vouch for the macarons or other goodies, but if you love key lime pie, RUN to this bakery!”

“Spent the day in Salem and just wanted to pop in somewhere for a quick drink. Robbie was immediately welcoming and made us feel like regulars. I really wish I lived closer because I definitely would be. The selection was vast without being too much. He suggested this offer they had with four glasses of 4 oz pours so we could try multiple. It was perfect! I highly recommend the slushies!!!! There's seating inside and bar seating in an open garage type setting, the breeze felt great. There's also a very roomy outdoor seating area with umbrellas. With it being a five minute ride from downtown Salem, amazing staff, great pricing, and perfect atmosphere it is now a must go every time I'll be in the area. I just wish I didn't have to drive home so I could've stayed longer and tried the other slushies flavor. Aside from the slushies 1626 was my favorite.”

“The atmosphere is amazing and the seats were very soft and comfy. It’s dark but cozy and really feels like being in a speakeasy especially after entering through a door in the alley. We got there after kitchen closed so we only had drinks but our bartender Sean was amazing at making the drinks and keeping the room served.”

Served on a bed of whipped, not mashed, potato along with a soft yet still crisp red cabbage and onion crisps ! And the gravy !!! This was my second trip there and I am going back this weekend. Great service and atmosphere as well.”

“Just. Wow. There were tears of joy. The birra quesadilla is a delicious monster of food and the tres leches cake was the best I've ever had. I loved everything about this little place and if I come back to Salem, I will absolutely eat here again.”

“My next door neighbor so it’s oh so convenient and always right on time! Reasonably priced in today’s pricey marketplace for a tasty burger and they have a gluten free bun. Not a gourmet experience but better than run of the mill fast food. Eating in is a fun experience surrounded by the East Regiment Beer Company.”
