“Michette is a gem tucked into the ever-evolving landscape of East Somerville. From the outside, the charming signage with little cartoons holding croissants pulls you in, but it’s the feeling once you step inside that really hooks you.
Walking in, it almost feels like you’ve crossed into a different era. The rich, dark wood and bustling energy give it this kind of timeless, grounded vibe. You’ve got a crowd inside, all clearly here with purpose, as the team behind the counter works like a well-tuned orchestra, each person genuinely engaged with their craft. Watching them work—rolling dough, restocking trays—makes it feel like you’re witnessing something rare in today’s fast-paced world: people who truly enjoy what they’re creating.
In a city where larger, established bakeries often dominate, it’s inspiring to see a small, grassroots operation like Michette making its mark. There’s something special about seeing the community embrace a place that’s focused so much on quality and craft. Their strive for excellence doesn’t go unnoticed, and it’s clear that they’re pouring everything into this spot.
I tried their canelé and chocolate croissant, which lived up to their reputation. The canelé was perfectly crispy on the outside, soft and custardy within, and the chocolate croissant had these endless layers, each bite flaking away to reveal the deep chocolate tucked inside. You can taste the skill and attention that goes into these pastries; it’s obvious they’re baked with genuine love.
Michette feels like it could quickly become a contender for one of Boston’s go-to bakeries. I’ll be back soon, and if you’re a pastry lover, this place is definitely worth a visit.“

“it is take out so atmosphere is a non issue ... although it is located in Bow Market which offers many seating alternatives including a coffee stop at Remnant Brewery. I love this place...the staff is friendly and efficient and everyone knows how to make a great b fast sandwhich with quality ingredients!! Pair it with a capacino from Remnant and it is the best breakfast in Union Square!!! (you wont have to take out a loan to pay for it either!)“

“Our experience at An Nam in Assembly was overall enjoyable. The food was good, though it was lacking some depth of flavor. However, the service and atmosphere really heightened our dining experience, making it feel special. The pricing is on the higher side, but it’s not unreasonable considering the location. If you’re in the area and looking for a nice spot to dine, it’s worth checking out.“

“I have been enjoying this cafe for a few years now and am still always happy with the truly friendly service along with some of the best sandwichs ever. This is comparing to other great delis around the city. Their salami, capocollo, and provolone with everything on it, on a freshly baked and grilled toasted baguette has to be honestly in my top 3 sandwiches I have ever had in my life.“

“Petsi Pies in Somerville is a gem loved by people all over Boston. Their pecan pie is simply the best—perfectly sweet, with a great crust. If you’re looking for a classic pie done right, this is the place to go. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to add a little extra to their Thanksgiving table or for birthday pie lovers!“

“I just did a take out order for Tatte Bakery and cafe since we are staying at The Row hotel near Tatte bakery.
We got a prosciutto fig panini , blueberry beet ricotta salad, warm oatmeal, traditional shakshuka, Jerusalem bagel, and a short rib grilled cheese.
The prosciutto fig panini and the beet salad are REALLY good. The warm oatmeal was way too sweet for my tastes (the ginger syrup is super sweet). The shakshuka (traditional) was also very good but a bit spicy (which I am a bit allergic to spicy foods). The Jerusalem bagel was dry and just tasted like bread with sesame seeds in it (we didn’t like it much and ended up throwing it out). The short rib grilled cheese was very good (my son devoured it :).
We also got several cappuccino’s. Their coffee is VERY good.
Overall-all the food is pretty good.
Would I go there again ? Yes. But I would probably ask them to put the syrup for the warm oatmeal in the side. Next time I will probably get more cappuccino’s too (they were really good :)“

“All DD's are differant, depends on the staff, I seem to find the ones that serve the older left over ice coffee that has a strong taste and the prices are to much for iced mud. When you find the ones that use fresh iced coffee stick with those good stores.“
“Clerk was rude and disrespectful. Couldn't get off his phone and speak directly to me. Only his back. Ordered Zig-Zag wraps. 4 to be exact. Price on package is $1.49. Dude is charging $2.50/ea. When told that he can't charge like that, he told me he could. So I only bought and paid for 2. I've posted a picture.“

“I started going here in 2020 and slowly became obsessed. Best bakery and cafe in Somerville. The vibes of the staff are phenomenal but additionally the food and tea are to die for. I always get the London fog with vanilla and the vegan egg cheddar sandwich. Don’t forget to try to banana tajin muffin!!“
