“The first time as a European tourist in Boston, of course, was also on my wish list to try a "lobster roll" for the first time in my life.\n\nOn a walk to the harbour, I came across JAMES HOOK & Co, where I was simply approached by the charming house, the decoration, the planting and the information that it was founded in 1925. \n\nMy credo is always "If a business has been on the market for such a long time...they know what they are doing, do it with passion and just have to be good + if someone values the external design, they also give value to their food and will prepare it well and create an appropriate ambience for them to shine and taste".\n\nUnfortunately, I had to realize that I was there three minutes before closing time, the employees were in the middle of cleaning up and cleaning. So I took a heart and asked one of the employees if I could still order a Lobster Roll quickly as it would be my last day in Boston and I would like to try a Lobster Roll once in my life. So he asked a colleague, who in turn went into the house and asked someone there. \n\nHe invited me to come in and I quickly ordered the original ...which I received within a minute and ate outside.\n\nSometimes simple compilations can be so good...even if you as a European can't imagine that at first and initially feel pity for the lobster that landed its triggered meat in simple mayo on a warm light simple bun...but honestly: \n\nIt was really delicious...and the composition was coherent. \nThe lobster meat was of very good quality...you could just taste it. It was nicely mixed with the delicious majo and pulled through, plus the warm bun....simple but damn delicious and authentic. \n\nI can wholeheartedly recommend it...and obviously many others. Because as I only read later, when I looked around on their website, JAMES HOOK & Co even received several awards.\n\nBesides, it is an owner-managed family business in the third generation..and such businesses that are an original and bring a lot of work and passion to their actions, I think it is important to support!“

“we had a wonderful experience all around on a busy Sunday. The manager, Russ, greeted us with a warm smile, setting the tone for a great evening. we sat outside and Jorge F, took great care of us. He was prompt but we never felt rushed. the food was excellent, the Lobster cones are a great new item. we also had the classic mussels. The grilled salmon was delicious. Russ was leading his team through a busy shift but was able to make time to ensure everything was just right. The best in the Seaport.“

“Had my first visit to Bootleg Special last night and it did not disappoint. Every aspect of the meal, from the creative drinks to the delicious appetizers to the fantastic main course was outstanding. Our server, Alex, was attentive and very pleasant. And last, but certainly not least, the beignets after dinner were spectacular. Looking forward to my next visit!“

“Very busy chinese restaurant with good quality food, slightly on the pricey side but really delicious. Many vegetarian-friendly options available, huge portions and very friendly staff. Highly recommend! Worth the wait of the long lines during rush hour. Sometimes they offer a voucher discount if you buy prepaid dining credits.“

“My first time dining in at OTH with my family and parents and it was a wonderful experience. The wait staff was extremely friendly and very accommodating and the food was absolutely out of this world. The food is excellent - we have never had anything we did not love. With evolving menus and new items it always feels fresh.
The service is impeccable. The kindest most attentive and thoughtful waitstaff and bartenders. The people here really make the place.
Thoughtfully designed with cozy lighting and a fantastic bar the ambience checks all the boxes.
A beyond wonderful neighborhood spot that never gets old - we frequent Dotty's and hope to for many years to come.“

“Had a great experience at The Banks Seafood and Steak in Boston! I stopped in for drinks at the bar and was truly impressed. Katie, the bartender, made one of the best lychee cocktails I’ve had — perfectly balanced and so refreshing. I also want to acknowledge Gary, the director of operations, who went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. It’s rare to find that level of hospitality. Highly recommend this spot for a relaxed, upscale vibe with top-notch service.“

“I’m a picky one when it comes to eating fish. This little shop right under the Fore River Bridge is the absolute best spot if you want fish so fresh it is obvious that it is the day’s catch! The batter is perfectly light, doesn’t separate from the fish and the result is simply the best fried fish I’ve EVER TASTED! Do yourself a favor and check them out!“

Our culinary choices led us to two exquisite dishes: the "Braised Clayton Mutton with Radish" and the Salt and Pepper Squid. The mutton dish, thoughtfully seasoned to perfection, struck an impeccable balance that pleased the palate without overwhelming it with saltiness. The radish, expertly prepared, offered a delightful crunchiness while exuding a pleasing infusion of flavors. “I have been coming to Adam's fish market for many years and my family looong before me. Amazing people especially the older man. He's always pleasant, respectful and after all theses years loves what he does. Food is fresh and yummy, in my tummy. Although I like to try other food restaurants. This place will always be my favorite Seafood stop. (Hands down)“
“Reservations mean absolutely nothing. Even with a reservation, guests were seated in the order that they arrived in. Service was slow but the food is great. We had appetizers, entrees and desserts and there was nothing we didnt like. There also is not a kid's menu available which was disappointing.“

“This place is fantastic. Took a work group of 7 there for dinner. The food - from the lamb ribs, lamb burger, and appetizers were fabulous. The service was also excellent - prompt, friendly and a great help with recommendations. This is not a fancy 5 star restaurant nor does it try to be. Casual atmosphere with outstanding food and service. Will be back!“

“Lobster rolls!!! Absolutely delicious rolls and the clam chowder!!! I’m not a fan of coleslaw, but their take is good.
I do suggest getting a warm lobster roll and an 8 oz clam chowder. The 3 dollar markup for the warmth is worth it, but also questionable.
You’re going to order through a computer and will receive it from a platform. They do not sell drinks, but you can buy drinks from different restaurants in the food hall.“

“Found this place my accident on our way back from Ikea and it was a pleasant surprise! The staff greeted us immediately, we sat in the room away from the bar but honestly the bar was not rowdy, the sports on tv was load enough to hear but not blaring. The food was Amazing with large positions and our waitstaff, Erin was attentive and personable. we will make this our 'go-to' when we are in the area!!“
