“This place is legitimately fantastic. I’m a big fan of hole-in-the-wall office building delis (okay, it’s an admittedly unusual interest…), and this one is a great example. It’s got that perfect mashup of deli standbys like breakfast sandwiches, subs, and sandwiches, plus a bunch of things from the owner’s background - in this case, great Korean food. Likewise, the variety of snacks and drinks is similarly broad, with a lot of unusual things you don’t see many places. Too bad it’s only open on weekdays, but if you’ve got to see a specialist for some doctor’s appointment, this is a good reason to pick one at 5454 Wisconsin.“

“We had the best time at KooKoo DC last night. They accommodated a table of 14 for my spouse's birthday and never let us feel like an imposition. “I stopped in with friends before a event Sunday evening. The staff was warm and welcoming. I had the lentil sambusas and a peanut-infused coffee at the staff’s recommendation. The food was fast and delicious- the sambusas were warm and spicy, and the peanut coffee was delicious! In a kind gesture, the chef sent over a sampling of sushi to our table. Fresh and refreshing, the sushi was a nice complement to my sambusas and hot beverage. I’m not on this side of town often, but now I have a reason to come back.“

I picked up three items this morning at Morning My Day. The choices were plentiful and tempting. A coconut braid-not too sweet, just perfect for early morning with coffee or tea, a curry pork sung bread that was absolutely hands down delish-heated it in the oven for 5 minutes and ate it with hot sauce, and a purple yam flower bun-delicious but know that the bread consistency might not be what you're used to? It's a very moist dense dough. The lady had a genuinely welcoming smile. The shop was easy to find. I found parking quickly. There is one table, maybe two. It's more of a carry-out place. I will be back.“

They also have so much variety of latte (and I happen to be a latte gal). They did forget one of our food items so I had to ask, but they solved it right away and the worker in charge of calling food helped us find a spot to sit. That being said, the atmosphere is kind of hectic, it was SUPER busy, which this place is popular so it makes sense. Seating is super limited and it seems like they have more people going for food than to sip on a coffee and work so there were a handful of people sitting with laptops at huge tables working while tons of people ordering food didn't have a place. Feels like they need to just kind of lean into what they want to be and have a order first system then get seating. Other than that, inside is a vibe and very aesthetic!“

“This has definitely become my new local coffee shop. It’s the kind of place you can go to every day before work starts—it has already become that for me.

The atmosphere is great; it’s a very easy place to get some work done or settle in with a book, and the outdoor seating is a huge plus. I love coming here in the morning for an iced mocha and their sausage, egg, and cheese on an everything bagel. The seasoning is excellent and the food is always fresh.

The staff is super nice and they are incredibly quick with orders. I’m already planning on heading back this Saturday with my new read.
