“My wife recommended this establishment having had several business luncheons here. It did not disappoint. The waiter was as accommodating as you could ever hope for . The seating options varied as we chose a booth for our visit. The cocktails were as good as anywhere we've ben, and the meals selected were top drawer and prompt. Parking, as you might expect was typical D.C. We found a spot easily within walking distance. Definitely will visit again when in downtown Washington.“

“I was devastated when I showed up for my reservation today when I realized my reservation was actually for tomorrow, but I left feeling QUITE the opposite. The hostess (I did not catch her name) told us she could squeeze us in as long as we didn’t stay past a certain time (which was so generous and more than enough time to begin with). We ordered our drinks, and when the drinks came, the (manager? bartender? i’m not sure) brought them out and even included a drink he said he created the recipe for yesterday and wanted our thoughts on it! all of the drinks were amazing. the hostess came to our table and told us she even moved reservations around so we didnt have to feel rushed (wish we didn’t to begin with)! it was just so sweet. our food was just as good, if not better. our server (anthony) was so kind.i had high expectations of the food going into dinner but the service was just as great!“

“Right in front of the Nationals Ballpark we saw Tap99. What absolutely drew our attention was the Big a** mozzarella sticks (yes they are actually called that)! So we immediately went inside and saw that it was a pour it yourself beer, liquor and shots restaurant as well! We got a demonstration on how to use the machine to pour whatever you want and then we were off to the races. There is a ton of seating both inside and out. Outside has covered seating across from the sidewalk as well which was great! We ordered the totchos, jumbo wings in honey bbq and of course the mozzarella sticks that lured us to this spot. For drinks we ordered various margaritas that poured perfectly in the glass every time. My favorite was the strawberry margaritas. They weren't too sour and had a bit of a sweet flavor to them. We also tried the lemon drop shots you can pour yourself and they were really well done. For the food, everything we ordered was delicious. Those three things turned out to be a ton of food. I really liked the bacon and cheese on the tots, the wings has a great sauce and tons of meat on each one, and the mozzarella sticks were incredible. I was just astonished by how much cheese filled each one and how little breading was needed to hold it all together. It also did a perfect cheese pull with every bite and had some sprinkled cheese on top of them. They were so large we had to conquer them by cutting off bites. I would totally recommend them to anyone that enjoys eating mozzarella sticks. Overall, this spot was incredible, so many people there but also so many taps that you never have to wait in a line to get a drink. I definitely want to come back here again at some point soon!“

“I thought that for the price, the food and service were very good. I appreciated that they were able to accommodate a walk-in for weekend brunch. The hostess was very polite and the servers were very attentive. The restaurant was very clean, including the bathrooms which were very nice compared to a lot of restaurants in DC. For a restaurant I had not heard of prior to visiting, I was pleasantly surprised!“

“Have stopped in twice, both times for the Happy Hour in the first floor bar area. The drinks have been excellent and the bartenders attentive. The food options for the HH are varied and each dish was satisfying and unique. Highlights are the soup dumplings, pork belly, and khachapuri breads (cannot go wrong with any of the varieties). I haven’t tried for a standard dinner but the tastings I’ve had and service make this a great spot. Street parking only if you’re driving, but the neighborhood is solid and you shouldn’t have too much issue.“

“Absolutely outstanding. Cannot recommend The Little Grand highly enough. Their pizza is the best in the DC area and their service and atmosphere are incredible as well. Straightforward and thoughtful menu and the staff are more than happy to help you determine the best options for your taste, just ask. Cocktails are awesome and the wine list is focused and always interesting. Definitely check it out.Parking: Always parking available on the side streets.Kid-friendliness: Great with kids. Very welcoming atmosphere for families, especially early in the evening.“

“This is a total K-Street lobbyist bar with nice drinks at insane prices. The room is dark and swanky with great artwork of politicians from both sides of the aisle, upscale bar snacks come with your table, and you’ll pay $35 for an ounce of Woodford - but you may spot a member of Congress, too. This is a spot frequented by corporate accounts and special-interest types, but it’s a cool, old-school DC room and perfectly executed.“

“This place defines the word community. I don’t come to places twice when in DC. This has become an exception to the rule now. The owners made me feel like old friends. The staff are courtesy and professional. I had an amazing coffee. Great beer the night before and watched the WNBA playoffs. I also watched the owner serve her community when someone most bars would throw out came in then one of the owners got up and got this lady some soda. Little things like this are impressive - yes this is a bar, but it is true community demonstrated live and In person.“

“I celebrated my 30th birthday here at Royal Sands last weekend and it was beyond a 5-star experience. What's great about hosting events here is that it's incredibly spacious and you don't have to pay ridiculous rental fees! We had a roped off area by the entrance for my group of 25 friends, plenty of chairs and booths, and so much space to dance! Chris, the manager introduced himself and kept an eye on our party to make sure we were all doing alright, and our server Katharine was attentive and making sure all our food and drinks were put in and coming out. Thank GOD this place serves late night happy hour because the sushi and the sushi boat was absolutely bomb, and we had the munchies after drinking. I highly highly recommend hosting your event here at RSSC, whether it's a birthday party, or social or getting together with friends- they'll take good care of you!“

“Busy restaurant, the service was quick. We ordered the crab dip which as good and creamy. The fried green tomatoes which were four decent slices and flavorful. The short ribs was boneless and very tender. I got sweet potato mash instead and it was delicious. My boyfriend ordered the lamb chops which came with two decent sized chops. This was the only issue we had. He ordered them medium and they came rare. The waitress took them back, but they just put them back on the grill after one was bitten into and then tasted burnt. Hopefully if I choose to return we won't have this mishap again.“

“Authentic Yunnan cuisine. Fast service. Great options. Starters were excellent. Vegetarian options available pretty much for all the menu items. Cucumber roll starters and mushrooms were great. Mains portions are large enough to share. Another thing to note is that they provide corkage- so feel free to bring your own wine.“

“A ramen shop that serves some hearty meals in a fun-looking interior with colorful lights and designs. The staff are attentive, and the food is brought out quickly. I would recommend their Black Miso Cheese Ramen, which had a good broth, especially compared to the Tokyo Ramen. I also wasn't the biggest fan of the noodles, as they were a little on the tough side. We also tried the Tako Corn Dogs, which were on the doughier side and would not recommend.“

“When you think of a speakeasy… this place looks like what comes to mind. Down a flight of stairs leading to oversized doors you find yourself stepping back in time and greeted by a skilled bartender sporting a handlebar mustache. Great for an after dinner drink or to just hang out with friends.“

“My first time here. It's been a while since I had been out so for water me and my friends came here. The ambiance is cute. Very barrel like place. Especially if you are a whiskey drinker. The bottomless mimosas were a hit. Our waiter Mason was awesome. He assisted us with our many dietary restrictions lol. The manager even came over and chatted with us. I would definitely come back. Oh and we finished brunch off with a whiskey flight!!!! Yes a good time was had by ALL......“

“We popped in to the Hawk n Dove after a busy morning touring the Capitol Building. We were greeted at the door in a reasonable amount of time. It looked like the restaurant was full, but they were able to get us a table near the kitchen - which is always fun since you can watch the buzz of the kitchen and wait staff hustling out all of the food orders. There is a lot going on here - busy bar, sports, news and trivia televised on screens above the bar. Witty T-shirts and memorabilia hanging on the walls. Generous portions, and upscale healthy food options in addition to the normal pub grub. We noticed that other tables had opted for salads and flatbreads so we did too. The personal sized flatbread was the perfect amount for one person. Nice combination of toppings and a warm soft crust. Salads were perfectly seasoned and dressed. Everyone in my party was happy with their lunches. Definitely would recommend.“

“My husband, myself, and our three sons dined here last night. It was a such a wonderful and unique experience from start to finish. We had the pasta paella, the oxtail croquettas, the pork belly bao, the ceviche for dinner. For dessert we had the jelly like pie, the cafecito, and the chocolate and mango/passion fruit ice creams. The music and atmosphere were so dreamy. The decor was so beautifully interlaced together with tropical plants and midcentury modern furniture and fixtures. We will be back on our next trip to the DC area.“

“I would definitely state that this restaurant is the greatest location to eat after visiting there with a bunch of friends! “This new bar in town is worth the hype. Everything on the menu is non-alcoholic, rivaling local wine menus at the largest and more expensive restaurants. They have a TV for those who love sports, and a family atmosphere ready for a friendly conversation. It’s the perfect date night spot, and Filipino owned and led.“

“Not too welcoming in 2024, I applied there when they first came to the neighborhood . lot of white people, then I figured out why they didn't hire me you but you never know the Pearl and the oyster. I hope they change their practices. Expeditor could manage your time a little better especially when you got gumbo and salad, and then the barbecue comes out cold. It lessens the experience of having to take it home and warm it up. But those biscuits stop me in my tracks.“

“I can’t wait to go back and next time I’m getting one of everything! These were the best cocktails I’ve ever had in my life, every flavor worked together and kept surprising me in the best ways. The bartenders are genius and the servers are welcoming and attentive. The seating and atmosphere are nice for friends catching up or for couples looking to snuggle up in a cozy nook made for two. I could’ve spent all night looking at the murals and the menu has so much more than descriptions of cocktails and (also amazing) food. 10/10 would recommend!“
“This place is intoxicating!! The decor is very Gatsbyesque! Totally cool private gin club speakeasy vibe. Went here for after dinner drinks with my girlfriends and it really hit the mark! “Stayed simple and got the brisket sandwich combo with a side of chili. The brisket was a lot dryer/harder than I expected, I wished I got the pulled pork instead. And the chili was honestly average. I tried a bit of the mashed sweet potato side and that was excellent! This place is pretty much self serve, you go up and get the food yourself. And the decor is very country, almost as if it wasn't in the middle of the city.“

“We went for the ambiance and mint juleps.... What a cool Bar! To think all the people they credit have done things here is amazing!! Songs, stories, speeches... Henry Clay introduced the mint julep so of course that was what we ordered... 26/drink kept us in check LOL...but they were tasty! Crushed ice, smooth bourbon and mint - yum! Service was meh, but I can overlook for everything else! Highly recommend this as a quick stop on the DC mall tour!!“

“We enjoyed Dovetail very much! The food was all delicious. We actually went twice - once for the happy hour and the next night for dinner. The happy hour small bites were fabulous. $2 oysters, a nice charcuterie board, and amazing crab deviled eggs. The dinner was equally delicious- I had a delightful tagliatelle with clams and artichokes. Service was excellent - shout out to Yusuf, who was our waiter both times.“
“One of my very favorite bars in DC! Funky, fun and gorgeous. Bartenders are all FANTASTIC. And you can count on a good dance party upstairs on weekends, with a rotating selection of DJs. Really great spot if you're looking for options - spaces you can enjoy a (strong) drink and catch up, and spaces you can get your groove on. If you're looking for a private event space - I also hosted my birthday here, and they helped make it the best night!“
“Welcome to the new Navy Yard bar inviting to to feel like you are in New York West Village. Striking an unexpectedly refreshing chord. Its excellence is undeniable, reminiscent of the enchanting vibe of Please Don’t Tell blended with a serene lounge atmosphere that simultaneously feels exclusive and inclusive. The menu playfully experiments with classic concoctions. I indulged in a Brookland—a creative take on a Brooklyn or dark Manhattan, a gem I've yet to stumble upon elsewhere in DC. It's intimate, it's trendy, and it's that under-the-radar spot everyone adores yet remains discreet. The creative genius and skillful craftsmanship of Andrew Hurn and Justin Cara-Donna infuse every detail, elevating this spot into a masterpiece of mixology and ambiance. Far from the glitz and the crowds, it's the ultimate destination for those lingering moments when the night is nearly done, but you're just not ready to call it quits.“

“We stopped by this Luna Hall in Chinatown Washington DC for teatime. It’s a cool looking place with lots of seats and different stalls selling various types of food. We ordered some Shanghai Shumai and Stir-fry Noodles at Dumpling District. We also tried their Rainbow Soup Dumplings with 6 different flavours… Pork Soup Dumpling, Crab Meat Soup Dumpling, Shrimp & Zucchini Soup Dumpling, Chicken Soup Dumpling, Mala Soup Dumpling and Black Truffle Soup Dumpling. The dumplings tasted so flavourful and yummylicious! At Kungfu Tea, we ordered two medium sized Matcha Red Bean Slush and Mangonada Slush (a spicy slush with intense flavour). Overall, it’s a nice cool place to relax and catch up while enjoying some yummy food.“

“The bartenders treat regulars better than others. You can order the same drink and get smaller glasses or cups than normal. Also if you order a drink such as a punch that needs to be shaken to mux properly they get lazy and just pour it and leave you to have to stor it. It does not taste the same. Plus they put very little alcohol in them. Shame not to feel welcome because you don't go every week. They stopped the dj through the week and they are boring with old timmers creepy male crowd on Thursdays especially. The food is the best and only reason to visit. Excellent cook.“
