“I’ve been there twice. The first time the Crocker fish was so good. I was telling everyone about it. I went there today and ordered the croaker and okra. The fish didn’t have any seasoning on it at all. So I had to use the hot sauce packs. The first time I didn’t use it. The hot sauce is nasty as well. It’s a bloody red looking color. A cheap brand. The okra and fish both fried correctly just no seasoning. I’m not sure if it’s different cooks or what. For $17 they have to be consistent with the flavor. I’ll try again, if it’s not seasoned again, I will just go for the drinks. Nice crowd and speedy service.“

“I think Old Ebbitt Grill are one of the best grill joints around Washington and they got the most warmed atmosphere and I also enjoyed their service a lot. Their waitress and waiters are well trained with great sense of humor and they always smile to their customers/buyers.. You all can give it a try and thank me later hehe 😜“

Her energy was infectious, and she made us feel right at home. You can genuinely feel the love and intention behind the space, and she definitely encouraged us to make a return visit — which we absolutely will!

Our bartender, Amanda, was equally wonderful. She was attentive, friendly, and had such a great attitude throughout our visit.

I especially love seeing a space that celebrates culture, community, women, and Black excellence while creating an environment where everyone can come together, enjoy themselves, and feel welcomed.

Bartender and server(didn't get their names) were very knowledgeable, drinks and food were made with care and the service was excellent. I come from a control state so their rum selection felt like it was excellently curated, and offered a lot of balance. Felt like a kid in a candy store. But if you are looking for a place to relax and enjoy a delicious meal, ypu have found it. There is a non smoking section but you can still smell the cigars. There is outdoor seating as well but the mosquitoes are out in full force this summer so be wary of them. The service here has been solid and its a great quiet place for a working lunch meeting.“

“The bar is chill the vibes are great, trust Carly and Sophia with drink advice. They know their drinks and make it well. I bought 8 drinks and they all were top notch. I would come again just because they made the experience! Also get the empanadas they are to die for! The rooftop is indoors and allows you to avoid the heat and any inclement weather. If you’re into sports the big screens TVs are right positioned easy viewing no matter wha table or bar you sit at. And the back ground music is easy on the ears. “We recently visited Focus Social Club for the dinner reservation experience, and overall, we had a great time.

First, the space is absolutely beautiful. I love exposed pipework and brick walls, and this place nailed the aesthetic. The decor gives off an upscale industrial vibe that's both stylish and inviting.

We had a large party, and we were seated right away. Our server was amazing—friendly, attentive, and incredibly patient with our group throughout the evening.

Now let's talk about the food. Everything we ordered was delicious, including the spinach dip, firecracker shrimp, lamb chops, teriyaki salmon, platters, and Philly cheesesteak egg rolls. But the star of the night was hands down the vegetable fried rice. I don't know what magic they put in that rice, but it was perfectly cooked, well-seasoned, and so good that we started ordering extra sides just to eat by themselves!

The drinks were also mixed perfectly and complemented the meal well.

One thing to note: this is not a budget-friendly spot. Be prepared to spend a little money, as even a couple of items can add up quickly.

As the evening progressed, it became clear that the venue caters to a younger crowd, especially once the DJ arrived and the nightlife atmosphere kicked in. We definitely noticed the shift in energy. While we may not have been the target demographic, we still enjoyed the early-evening vibe, great conversation, delicious food, and excellent service before heading back to our hotels.

If you're looking for a beautiful space, great food, good drinks, and a lively atmosphere, Focus Social Club is worth checking out. My advice: go earlier in the evening if you want a more relaxed dining experience before the nightlife crowd arrives. 💜“
