“This my first time here and it was probably one of the best experience I’ve ever had at a bar in DC . I’ll definitely be back for my birthday next week. Love the atmosphere“

“The drink menu is creative, telling how the drinks were inspired.
I had two drinks. The first one was “Summers, Horses, Dreams”, love this one, it is a twisted from lychee martini, adding green cardamom which is insane delicious. However, I think the drink need to be colder.
Second drink was “Little Hats and Fast Trains”, highball style with Mazapan foam, I believe this is a type of peanut candy, and tamarind flavor. The foam was tasty but the tamarind was tart for me.
The staff was really helpful and nice. The atmosphere and the vibe was okay, good for dating or go with your friend.“

“The burger was excellent—definitely the highlight of the meal. Everything else was solid and okay overall. The biggest issue was the service. Only one staff member was handling both the tables and the bar for the entire restaurant, so things moved really slowly. Despite that, they were friendly and doing their best under the circumstances. With better staffing, this place could be fantastic.“

“I’ve now dined here for dinner and brunch and both experiences were top notch. I’m impressed with the commitment to healthy foods and preparation throughout the process. The menu was intriguing and we enjoyed all of our selections. From the focaccia bread to the beets to the fennel salad and fried meatballs, the appetizers were delightful. The raviolini and beef heart bolognese pastas were remarkable too! My hubby loved his veal and the I forgot to mention all the fun mocktails (kids tried the elderberry and I enjoyed the homemade ginger ale)! I’m stoked to have this brunch option on Sundays following church now! Thank you, Team Ama!“

“When you think of a speakeasy… this place looks like what comes to mind. Down a flight of stairs leading to oversized doors you find yourself stepping back in time and greeted by a skilled bartender sporting a handlebar mustache. Great for an after dinner drink or to just hang out with friends.“
“This was my best karaoke experience I’ve ever had. Got a private room but the spot also features a public space with a bar and karaoke. The feature where you can connect to spotify 10/10!!! Had the chicken tenders and truffle fries. I was very satisfied with my choices. Will return again very soon!“

“I think Old Ebbitt Grill are one of the best grill joints around Washington and they got the most warmed atmosphere and I also enjoyed their service a lot. Their waitress and waiters are well trained with great sense of humor and they always smile to their customers/buyers.. You all can give it a try and thank me later hehe 😜“

“If you’re in DC, Quill cocktail bar is the place to go. Its dim lit atmosphere and ambience provides such an intimate setting whether for friends and family or for business. You have your choice of sitting indoors or outside on their raised patio. Oh, and the service here is phenomenal! When you first sit, they bring you mixed nuts and olives and introduce themselves. Their cocktail menu may have only been just a page but if it’s not on there, they can definitely make it for you. My wife requested an Espresso Martini (non-menu) and it was the best of its kind she’s had yet. She also enjoyed the Ventura Highway, from their menu. My personal favorite of theirs was the “Johnny be Woode.” This became my go-to there. They do have a dinner menu as well. Their burger exceeded my expectations! Their desert menu impressed! The presentation was artwork and the flavors will surely make you long for more. Our server two of the three nights we were there was Andrew. Andrew made sure we had everything we needed and could possibly want. He provided absolutely excellent service, great humor, and pleasant conversation. On our third evening here, Amber greeted and served us. Amber is another gem at Quill, making recommendations on menu items as well as local recommendations around the town based off what my taste preferences are. Both Andrew and Amber had an awesome attitude and helped make our stay at the Jefferson Hotel just that much more memorable! The atmosphere, service, and great attitudes made for such a unique and satisfying experience that we ended each of our evenings, visiting Quill. Next time we’re in town, we will definitely be going back to Quill.“

“I have been coming to Jackpot regularly for almost three years now. It is, by definition, a dive bar, and they do it incredibly well. Free unlimited popcorn, weekly rotating draft beer, bring your own food…What’s not to love?
Jackpot is a great spot to come to after work to take a load off and relax. If you come between 4-8pm they’re usually not too busy and you can find a spot at the bar. They also offer their happy hour during this time and it’s a very competitive happy hour compared to other bars in the area; $5 rail drinks and $2 off all beer (though they do have a few specialty craft beers that are not eligible for happy hour pricing).
The music they play depends on who is bartending, but regardless, they’re always playing some fire tunes. Every time I’ve come in here, I’ve always been greeted with a smile and served within a few minutes, without fail. The bartending staff are always so friendly and accommodating. They’re also always willing to hold some amazing conversation, so long as they aren’t busy, which is the case most of the time except late night on Fridays and Saturdays.
Overall, if you’re looking for a chill dive bar with some good beer and great staff, Jackpot will always get the job done.“

“HIGHLY RECOMMEND! The Bazaar at the Waldorf Astoria in Washington, D.C., offered a unique and vibrant dining experience that beautifully blends traditional and contemporary culinary influences. The restaurant boasts an elegant yet inviting atmosphere, perfect for both casual gatherings and special occasions. The decor reflects the sophistication of the Waldorf Astoria, creating a warm and welcoming space. The menu is a feast for the senses, featuring a diverse range of dishes inspired by global flavors. Standout items include the inventive tapas and small plates, which are perfect for sharing. The seafood options, particularly the fresh ceviches, are a must-try, along with the signature paellas that are rich in flavor and beautifully presented. The staff at The Bazaar is attentive and knowledgeable, providing excellent service that enhances the overall dining experience. They are happy to make recommendations and ensure that all guests feel well taken care of. The cocktail menu is creative and extensive, showcasing unique blends that complement the food perfectly. The wine selection is also impressive, offering a variety of choices to suit different The Bazaar at the Waldorf Astoria is a delightful dining destination that combines exquisite food, impeccable service, and a stunning setting. Whether you're visiting for a romantic dinner or a celebration with friends, this restaurant promises a memorable experience that captures the essence of fine dining in D.C. Highly recommended!“

“The Haymaker is a great cocktail bar and has some of the best and hardest working bartenders in DC. When we arrived, the bar counter seats were almost full. Three cocktails in and the whole place was packed with 90/95% having cocktails, our refills still came quickly. Why only 4 star? They have changed the food menu and not for the better. The dumplings are still great. We also had the quesadilla. My wife liked it, I thought it was generic. We both thought the loaded tots were a major fail, the 'load', what little there was of it, had all fallen off and was in the bottom of the bowl. The draft beer choice is also weak, with Goose Island being their premium beer. I hope they change up their menu for the better.“

“Dropped in to this cool neighborhood BAR for a cocktail on a chilly night. The friendly bartender “Chris” made me a delicious ‘Better, Better’ cocktail with Jamaican Doctorbird Rum. The food MENU is limited. 100% come for vibe, drinks, service, and atmosphere.“
“Tristan is the best. You would be a fool for not asking for him as your bartender. Connects well with guest, cleans the bar regularly to make sure it’s not sticky. Very hospitable. All around great bar. If you are looking for a bar. This is the place“

“Came in solo, brought my own stick, ordered the steak. Medium rare, nicely executed, the kind of straightforward, well-done tavern cooking that earns your trust without trying too hard.
But the real draw at Shelly's isn't the food or even the smoke. It is the wall of private humidor lockers: floor to ceiling, warm honey-toned wood, each door fitted with a small brass keyhole and a leaf-shaped nameplate engraved with the locker's owner. The range tells the whole story: Skadden Political Law sits two rows above Moody. Jersey City Housing Authority is neighbors with Thursday's. Ben and Jeremy shares a wall with AFNUPES. The mix of white-shoe law firms, neighborhood regulars, and inside jokes reads like a cross-section of the city's social fabric, and it's genuinely funnier than anything you'd see framed on the wall of a concept bar.
The space holds its Republican log cabin vibe without self-consciousness. Service was prompt and unpretentious. They even sell a Trump-branded cigar, which tells you something about the clientele, or the ownership's willingness to move product. Two blocks from the White House, unbothered by the irony.
Worth the visit, especially if you're the kind of person who finds themselves reading name tags on lockers instead of looking at a menu.“

“Food was good, but the quantity was scarce. I didn’t get everything they offered though so that could be why. Didn’t notice much vegetarians or vegan options. Music was good, they tried to be inclusive. Bathroom was clean. The hostesses were attentive and prompt. There was a mixed crowd.“
“When I was a child, I remember that I once got lost in the woods. And as harrowing an experience as that was, nothing was so sweet as the salvation of once again finding your way. Nothing more delicious than that first sip of water after fearing that I may never drink again. It is in Goodlove that I have found, once again, that first sip of water. A delicious reprieve from the tedium of every day life. An escape from the harrowing misfortunes that besiege us daily. I would highly recommend Goodlove to anyone who appreciates a quality drink.“

“Trusty’s is the kind of neighborhood dive bar everyone wishes they had nearby. It’s relaxed, unpretentious, and always delivers a good time. The staff is friendly, the drinks are affordable, and the crowd is a fun mix of locals and regulars.
The coolest part is the old-school bus upstairs — a quirky, unexpected space that makes the bar feel uniquely DC. It’s the perfect spot for grabbing drinks with friends, posting up for a casual night out, or just enjoying a no-frills, welcoming atmosphere.
If you’re looking for a comfortable bar with character (and zero pretense), Trusty’s is the place. A reliable favorite!“

“Came on a Saturday night. Wasn't crowded at all. Wish it was opened up, but I guess it was too chilly. Ordered the shredded beef tacos, delicious!! I ordered a cadillac margarita, it was ok. Not as strong as o would've liked. The calamari was also ordered, it was just ok. Will definitely be back for those tacos. Nice little roof top. It did feel like we were being rushed at the end, but all good.“

“I’ve been there twice. The first time the Crocker fish was so good. I was telling everyone about it. I went there today and ordered the croaker and okra. The fish didn’t have any seasoning on it at all. So I had to use the hot sauce packs. The first time I didn’t use it. The hot sauce is nasty as well. It’s a bloody red looking color. A cheap brand. The okra and fish both fried correctly just no seasoning. I’m not sure if it’s different cooks or what. For $17 they have to be consistent with the flavor. I’ll try again, if it’s not seasoned again, I will just go for the drinks. Nice crowd and speedy service.“
