“I’ve been there twice. The first time the Crocker fish was so good. I was telling everyone about it. I went there today and ordered the croaker and okra. The fish didn’t have any seasoning on it at all. So I had to use the hot sauce packs. The first time I didn’t use it. The hot sauce is nasty as well. It’s a bloody red looking color. A cheap brand. The okra and fish both fried correctly just no seasoning. I’m not sure if it’s different cooks or what. For $17 they have to be consistent with the flavor. I’ll try again, if it’s not seasoned again, I will just go for the drinks. Nice crowd and speedy service.“

“I think Old Ebbitt Grill are one of the best grill joints around Washington and they got the most warmed atmosphere and I also enjoyed their service a lot. Their waitress and waiters are well trained with great sense of humor and they always smile to their customers/buyers.. You all can give it a try and thank me later hehe 😜“

“I came here for a friend's birthday, and she rented a private karaoke room. We had an absolute blast! I didn't get a chance to try the food, but everything I saw coming out looked really good.
The karaoke room was pretty warm, but I just assumed it was because there were a lot of us in a small space, so it wasn't a big deal.
The real problem was when our room time was over and we went into the main area. It was HOT—like, no air at all. And I'm not talking about the Chris Brown and Jordin Sparks song. 😂 It was honestly unbearable. With the heat wave we've been having, there's really no excuse for the AC to be struggling that much.
Other than that, we had a great time, and I'd definitely come back. I just hope management sees this and gets the air conditioning fixed because it would make the experience so much better.“

“When you think of a speakeasy… this place looks like what comes to mind. Down a flight of stairs leading to oversized doors you find yourself stepping back in time and greeted by a skilled bartender sporting a handlebar mustache. Great for an after dinner drink or to just hang out with friends.“

Bartender and server(didn't get their names) were very knowledgeable, drinks and food were made with care and the service was excellent. I come from a control state so their rum selection felt like it was excellently curated, and offered a lot of balance. Felt like a kid in a candy store. “I visited on a Saturday afternoon. Several groups of guys were there, but not crowded. Plenty of comfortable seating available. Very polite and attentive staff. Great selection of cigars and a well stocked bar. Casual atmosphere and dress. Mostly collared shirts and some T-shirts. I did not eat, but the food I saw looked good. I had a couple of drinks and a good cigar. Prices were not bad considering such an establishment. I will definitely visit again next time I'm in town.“

“The wings were very good. However, the gumbo was not. It was very skimpy on the meat, and I didn’t find any okra at all. It was also a bit under-seasoned for my taste.

The Henry Pineapple Peach drink was good, but in my opinion, it wasn’t quite enough to share.

That said, Jordan was great! I hope I get seated in his section next time. He was very patient while we were being indecisive and provided excellent service throughout our visit.

“We recently visited Focus Social Club for the dinner reservation experience, and overall, we had a great time.

First, the space is absolutely beautiful. I love exposed pipework and brick walls, and this place nailed the aesthetic. The decor gives off an upscale industrial vibe that's both stylish and inviting.

We had a large party, and we were seated right away. Our server was amazing—friendly, attentive, and incredibly patient with our group throughout the evening.

Now let's talk about the food. Everything we ordered was delicious, including the spinach dip, firecracker shrimp, lamb chops, teriyaki salmon, platters, and Philly cheesesteak egg rolls. But the star of the night was hands down the vegetable fried rice. I don't know what magic they put in that rice, but it was perfectly cooked, well-seasoned, and so good that we started ordering extra sides just to eat by themselves!

The drinks were also mixed perfectly and complemented the meal well.

One thing to note: this is not a budget-friendly spot. Be prepared to spend a little money, as even a couple of items can add up quickly.

As the evening progressed, it became clear that the venue caters to a younger crowd, especially once the DJ arrived and the nightlife atmosphere kicked in. We definitely noticed the shift in energy. While we may not have been the target demographic, we still enjoyed the early-evening vibe, great conversation, delicious food, and excellent service before heading back to our hotels.

If you're looking for a beautiful space, great food, good drinks, and a lively atmosphere, Focus Social Club is worth checking out. My advice: go earlier in the evening if you want a more relaxed dining experience before the nightlife crowd arrives. 💜“
