After we got engaged, we stopped by his ice cream shop that night for a treat, and from that moment, we knew we had to work with him for our special day. Having Everyday Sundae at our pre-wedding park day/cookout was such a fun and personal touch. Everyone was so surprised and absolutely loved the raspberry sorbet and Everyday Sundae’s signature bourbon truffle ice cream. It was a huge hit with our guests! Working with Mr. Charles was super easy—he’s professional, reliable, and was genuinely excited to be part of our wedding weekend. His warm personality and charm added so much to the event, and we couldn’t be happier to have included him in our wedding festivities. One of the chocolate flavors I sampled was incredibly rich and chocolatey—it's water-based and vegan-friendly, which was a first for me! The restaurant was nice, clean, and had indoor seating that could accommodate several people, but I decided to take my treat to go.“

“The gelato I had was absolutely delicious! While it wasn't as creamy as Pitango's, I really enjoyed the variety of flavors they offered. I ordered a three-flavor cup and chose Black and White Cookie Batter, Dark Chocolate Fudge, and Dulce de Leche Chip. Each flavor was delightful! The restaurant was quite busy, which was a good sign considering its prime location near shopping stores and not far from Chinatown. There was plenty of seating available for customers to sit and savor their treats or coffee. Despite the crowd, the cashiers did an excellent job attending to everyone and even offered samples.“

We got to meet CEO of Lumiere, Terrence Wheeler, and sampled the vodka and infused ice cream as well. The class is from 11-1 pm so it starts and ends before the shop opens that way we aren’t interrupted during our private session. We were able to try all the flavors that are offered. They have ice cream and sorbet. You make two cocktails in class. The owner Danielle is super sweet! It’s a great class to take with friends. The ice cream is delicious as well! “Malai Ice Cream Parlor in Washington, D.C., near Georgetown had been on my list for a long time, and I’m so glad I finally visited. What makes this place special is how beautifully it brings Indian flavors and spices into creative ice cream combinations.

The shop had a great crowd when we visited, and interestingly, most of the customers were non-Indians enjoying these unique flavors. Their menu is packed with exciting options such as rose with cinnamon toasted almonds, mango and cream, masala chai, cardamom pistachio crumble, lemon cardamom, black forest, sweet roti and ghee, saffron pistachio, confetti sweet milk, and spice date cake with coconut caramel. They also offer non-dairy and sorbet options along with soft serve.

We ordered the trio flavors. The standout for me was the sweet roti and ghee flavor—absolutely amazing! It instantly brought back childhood memories. The ice cream had little roti crumbles with a rich ghee flavor, and honestly it was the first time I’ve ever had an ice cream like this.

We also tried mango and cream, which had a very fresh, creamy mango flavor, and saffron pistachio, a beautiful blend of aromatic saffron with crunchy pistachio bits.

Overall, it’s a fantastic dessert spot with unique flavors, good portion sizes, and reasonable pricing for the quality. I’d definitely love to come back and explore more of their flavors next time“

“The owner, she has the most selection of icecream cakes of any BR anywhere, and I’ve been to all of them! She especially makes sure that she stocks mint chocolate icecream cakes for me and about 4 other regular customers, even though it’s not the most popular flavor. It is obvious this store specializes in cakes. Her custom writings on the cakes are always done with care and great calligraphy. All flavors and sizes of icecream cakes are always in stock at this location, which is why I always return to this store. Thank you owner!“

“I went there today with my 7 year old son for a banana royal for me and a scoop on a cake cone for my son, the ice cream was superb! If you ever go I would recommend the banana pudding with some cookies and cream it won’t disappoint. For my son he chose little blue panda on a cake cone and he loved it he still hasn’t stopped saying how much he wants more. On top of that the customer service was amazing the lady had a little conversation with us about our day and even gave my son some Oreo’s. On top of all of that the price was just 12.58! Was way cheaper than baskin Robbins. 10 out of 10 highly recommend.

Kid-friendliness: I went there with my 7 year old son for some father son bonding and the lady there was incredible, she was very kind and friendly, had a little conversation with him and gave him some cookies too I loved how she treated him and will bring him again very soon“

There was outdoor seating enjoyed by many, but we chose to sit indoors and people-watch in the charming, bustling area on a Sunday afternoon. Great experience as out-of-towners!“
