“I love the hot cocoa from Dolci Gelati at the National Zoo for Zoo Lights. I bought 1 for me and 1 for a friend & went back again for a second night for more on the last night of Zoo Lights. “One of the best ice cream shops I’ve been to in a long time, I was pleasantly surprised to find homemade custard. The root beer was delightful in my root beer float and you can definitely taste the honey flavors the root beer was made with. The vanilla custard was refreshing and fantastic. I got there 30 minutes prior to closing and the place had a line out the door. It was a fast line and worth the short wait time. I understand now why it was so popular and I look forward to trying more from the menu in the future. They had a lot of great options and accommodations for almost anyone such as sorbet. Really cute area and if you go across the street and down a little there’s more seating to sit and eat your delicious treat outside. There’s also a cute little garden spot directly across the street too with a few seats and a spot for a treat for your dog in the mail box. I would 100% recommend this spot but expect it to be busy.“

“My girlfriend and I went here three days in a row 🤣 it’s the best burger in the DMV in my opinion, as someone who was born and raised in the area. The smash burgers are so fresh and loaded with the house-made sauce, onions, pickles, and tomatoes, and served on a fluffy bun. Highly recommend the savory truffle sauce for the fries. Get the double patty burger and you gotta try the ube soft serve. Will definitely come back. Just wish there were more seating inside, but there’s parks nearby where you can eat so it’s not too bad“

Interesting array of flavors, amazing texture and mouthfeel, and I love that this place is not afraid to get adventurous with flavors. Black Sesame--yum! At the same time, their most simple, traditional flavors are among my favorites--Strawberry and Cookies and Cream are absolutely delightful. I appreciate that this place continues to keep their prices very reasonable, especially given how crazy expensive food has gotten in 2024. “Their Ethiopian pizza is incredible! Chewy, crispy crust, loaded with flavorful toppings. It comes with hot honey that is a perfect compliment to the pizza and a green sauce which is really good too. You can get half and half two different styles of pizza if you can't decide.

Service is great too. Order at the counter, the staff are very helpful and so nice. The music can be a little loud inside but they have a great outdoor seating area when the weather is nice.“

I had the blueberry St. Germain spritz and the passion fruit spritz— both great. And we shared the Caesar salad and the Alfreda pizza add basil. “It's good to very good. Should really be about. 4.3. seriously, Google has to come up with a new measuring system. Had a coffee scoop and a toasted butter something or other. The coffee was OK. Strong coffee flavor. Little bitter. The roasted butter thing was amazing. More of a cold weather ice cream. Not the kind you want on a hot day. Had the waffle cone but should have gone with the cup. The waffle cone is delicate in strength and crumbles easily. It has a strong flavor that overpowered the ice cream. That saying a lot because that toasted butter whatever had a strong flavor on its own. I would go back to try some of the others. It good enough for a visit. Go for the bowl instead of the cone.“

“Biscuits with the Boss is back! We ordered two Ted Lasso Specials, which was two Biscuits with the Boss half scoops with caramel and chocolate syrup and a waffle piece. Jeni's Ice Cream flavors are always a treat, we've been to several locations and usually have a great time. The staff was great and attentive during our visit, asking if we've been helped several times. The cashier also was very pleasant and informed us about the rewards program. As for the space, there's not a lot of seating. The scoop sizes can be a bit small compared to nearby competitors.“
