“One of the best ice cream shops I’ve been to in a long time, I was pleasantly surprised to find homemade custard. The root beer was delightful in my root beer float and you can definitely taste the honey flavors the root beer was made with. The vanilla custard was refreshing and fantastic. I got there 30 minutes prior to closing and the place had a line out the door. It was a fast line and worth the short wait time. I understand now why it was so popular and I look forward to trying more from the menu in the future. They had a lot of great options and accommodations for almost anyone such as sorbet. Really cute area and if you go across the street and down a little there’s more seating to sit and eat your delicious treat outside. There’s also a cute little garden spot directly across the street too with a few seats and a spot for a treat for your dog in the mail box. I would 100% recommend this spot but expect it to be busy.“

I don't usually eat gelato, so I was pleasantly surprised by the creaminess. The service was excellent; I wasn’t sure what to choose, but the cashier helped me by offering samples and sharing details about each flavor I tried. One of the chocolate flavors I sampled was incredibly rich and chocolatey—it's water-based and vegan-friendly, which was a first for me! The restaurant was nice, clean, and had indoor seating that could accommodate several people, but I decided to take my treat to go.“

I was very surprised at the variety of flavors, I chose Vanilla (I figured you can’t go too wrong w/ Vanilla), IT was Delicious, I can’t wait to try some of the other Flavors now, the Homemade Taste was awesome, the prices were great, the speed of service was marvelous( It was seemingly right during “rush hour”, there was a line, however, the line moved swiftly, the Helpers (Young Staff), was very flexible, friendly, patient, quick, on top of things and handled business very professionally. “My child has celiac disease and the woman working today with glasses took very good care of her. They were able to provide me with the allergy list and willing to get a clean scoop and ice cream from the back. I took off one star because the other person working was super rude to multiple customers. We had her initially, but after handing us the allergy sheet we got moved over to the other woman (thankfully). This person was acting like the customers were straight up idiots. Telling them, in a nasty tone, where the line started when honestly there was no clear line at all. They were either having a bad day or really shouldn’t be at a job where they have to interact with other humans. Yes, I’m sure it can be frustrating, but you can nicely say the line actually starts over here.“

“This place is phenomenal, the inside is clean and creative. The flavors of the ice creams are awesome, and Danny makes a mean cappuccino (among other drinks!). This is just a great location, you can come here for breakfast or to grab a coffee...or you can head next door to Northside and grab a mimosa and/or lunch. We come here all the time, it's wonderful. The staff here are truly what makes this place a gem, they are all so polite and kind. It has that family feel --they make everyone feel welcome. Highly recommend for everyone.“

“I’m originally from Texas and I’ve eaten Mexican paletas (popsicles) my whole life. These are among the best I’ve ever had. You can see and taste the fresh fruit—so delicious and refreshing! The mangonada is also great if you’re feeling adventurous (it’s a spicy mango Mexican treat).“

“I love this place! The service is a walk up ice cream parlor with limited outdoor seating. They have the biggest banana splits (the banana is sliced in pieces) and it is very tasty. Choose from a number of toppings, and enjoy! It takes me three days to eat it all. Good choice is to buy one and share. The service is not the fastest, but if you love ice cream you won't mind the wait. I haven't tried anything else, but other customers did, and I didn't see anything but smiles after getting their order leaving.“

“It’s great - not amazing but a solid option. Always has a line to order and has very limited seating. It’s was also kind of pricey but it is Old Town and a must place for tourists to visit. I did appreciate the hand written sign on how to order - size, flavors and then cup or cone!“

“Rita’s is my favorite ice cream shop. I worked at DQ in HS and then loved this local ice cream shop back in my hometown. But when I moved to Waldorf a few years ago, I learned of Rita’s and not only is the ice cream, the flavors and treats always amazing, so are the staff; specifically the manager there. I’ve asked his name before and can’t recall it but he does a great job of training the young staff and he’s ALWAYS pleasant, smiling, professional, and just an overall a wonderful person, I can just feel it. “This was my second time going to this food truck. First time I got a basic cheesesteak with pink lemonade water ice. Let me tell you… FIRE!!! I went again yesterday and got the cheesesteak fries with the cotton candy water ice. And again it was stuffed TO THE BRIM with steak. Took my water ice to go and as always it was a 10/10 even better than houeys in upper Marlboro. Talked to the owner and asked if I could add some tequila for without messing up the flavor (since it’s winter) and IT WAS AMAZING 10/10. Would definitely recommend.“

“I think this is an acquired taste for sure! Just because I don’t personally think the cookies are worth $3.50-$4 doesn’t mean others won’t! I’m giving 4 stars because I think the cookies are definitely overpriced. 🍪 The staff are kind, the place is clean, and the ambiance is great. I think this type of business could flourish if they locked in a better cookie dough quality vs what tastes like a mass produced one!“
