“First I would like to say that I wish there were more than 5 stars. My son and I are visiting the DC area for the Cherry Blossom festivities. My son has a love for Indian food ever since his trip to India. I have never tried Indian food ever. So this was my very first experience. From the moment we walked in the door our amazing experience began. The atmosphere is beautiful and so is the staff. Our server, April was super helpful and very knowledgeable. She has an amazing spirit and is wonderful with her job! The food... was very fresh, aromatic and DELICIOUS!! My son said the food was the closest to the food in India that he has had here in the states. For my first time... OMG!!! I am HOOKED! The only bad part is that I have to go back to Florida and wait impatiently for my next visit.“

“What can I even say that's bad about this place? We tried the full tasting+wine menu for our anniversary dinner last week. It was so good that we had to return yesterday for restaurant week (a menu substantially smaller but just as satisfying).
The drinks were delicious and creative (get the lychee bomb), the food was adventurous and rich, the atmosphere is both sophisticated and fun, and the service was top notch.
Major shoutouts to my guys and gal Edwin, Jonas, and Mariana. Edwin was our first server and made us feel like a part of his family, joking with us, sharing stories with us, and giving us a full tour and history of the food and wine we enjoyed. On our second visit, Edwin made sure to check on us often, but our main server Jonas was equally as generous, lively, and gave us the best suggestions for what to order. He even asked the chef to make a custom dessert for us when he realized we'd tried all the ones on the menu from last week.
Favorite drinks were the lychee bomb and I think the hocus pocus. All wine pairings were delicious.
Favorite food was the quail egg with swiss chard and truffle cream, the shrimp momo, and the ghee-poached salmon, though everything was exceptional.
Don't come here if you're looking for something quick, it's a delicious marathon here.“

“The best Punjabi food in DC. G.O.A.T Room brings the rich flavors of Punjabi/ Indian food here to DMV. They have every dish (fish, goat meat, naan,butter chicken) that I tried there…the BEST that I ever had. I had tried over 100 of restaurants in DMV and no one can beat this. Punjabi food is known for its rich and buttery flavors and G.O.A.T Room uses only fresh spices and herbs, such as turmeric cloves, ginger, and garlic. The owner, Bobby has created an extraordinary dining experience that brings this special food and culture right to DC. Bobby will visit your table and discuss your meal and personally thank you for coming in. He made a wonderful suggestions of food and drinks.. we were amazed with that selections. Butter chicken has a creamy gravy made of onions, yogurt, seeds, and did not disappoint. The goat meat was the best I’ve ever eaten. Naan and everything was perfect and not too oily at all. The portions are good sized and the presentation is exceptional. The atmosphere is lovely with authentic decor, and smartly set tables but mostly it’s the staff’s hospitality that amazed us. Bobby and his team has accomplished what they have set out to do and that is to bring the best food to the people of DMV. With the rich flavors, fresh, spices, freshest yogurt, and love and care in every dish- they have succeeded. Will be making more trips to DC just for their yummy food! Highly recommended. 10 stars. “I am so happy to have Maryland Tandoor in College Park so close to my home in Lanham! It's wonderful to have such a beautiful Indian restaurant in the area.
The food is absolutely amazing. I truly appreciate the quality of every dish, and I don't mind paying a little more for food that's prepared with such care and authenticity. The value is definitely there. And the Mango Lassi? Without a doubt, it's one of the best I've ever had—rich, refreshing, perfectly balanced, and absolutely delicious!
The restaurant itself is stunning. The design and décor are absolutely gorgeous, creating a warm and elegant atmosphere that makes the dining experience even more enjoyable.
What really completes the experience is the staff. Everyone was welcoming, attentive, and genuinely friendly, making us feel appreciated from the moment we walked in. It's clear they take pride in providing outstanding customer service.
I will definitely be a frequent customer. I'm even considering recommending Maryland Tandoor for catering at the many NIH events, celebrations, and large meetings we host because I think others would really enjoy the food and experience as much as I have.
It's also in a great location, conveniently close to the University of Maryland, making it a fantastic addition to the College Park community.
Thank you to the owners, management, and staff for bringing such a beautiful restaurant and outstanding food to the area. I'm genuinely excited to have Maryland Tandoor nearby and look forward to many more visits. Highly recommended!“

“Amazing flavours and very courteous chef. the tikka gravy is very flavourful and hits the right notes. Paneer, sweet potato, spinach kofta is also a very healthy twist to the standard kofta in the Indian cuisine. Saffron Basmati rice is my favorite pairing in this bowl. Chef added a portion of their chana masala too. Must try.“

“Great place to have food and/or snacks. To get there is little tricky. It’s behind the spy museum and right beside the staircase. Also wish the closing time was more extended. Deb is great and takes of customers well. Overall food is wonderful.“

“At first we were a little surprised to be eating in a Days Inn -- and Al-Madani is unassuming atmospherically. However, the food was flavorful and delicious (aloo palak, lamb tikka kabobs, garlic naan), and the staff were wonderfully kind and caring. I feel like this is a hidden gem and hope many more people find them and that they get lots of business!“

“During our trip to Washington, D.C., we had a lovely meal at Jab We Met. The proprietor was so kind and welcoming, making us feel right at home the moment we walked in. The food was excellent, with delicious Aloo Gobi and comforting Saag Paneer that hit just the right spot. The mango lassi was delightfully smooth and sweet, and the iced tea was light and refreshing. It was an enjoyable dining stop on our travels!“

“Wanted to try something new during birthday excursion. redditors recommended this place. finding out that they had a buffet helped me ensure I'd definitely find something I like. but I actually loved EVERYTHING they had in their buffet once I got there. had multiple plates. “To be honest, I have only done take-out from here. Their food is quite good and I am a harsh critic of Indian food at restaurants. They do good lunch portions, a bit more expensive compared to the options down Georgia Ave. but they make good food. Their paneer dishes are quite good, which is a good metric to judge an Indian restaurant. I would recommend this place for lunch if you have guests that you would like to treat.“

“I live in VA, but love to try different food. My second time here, because food was great. The girl serving was super too. Was not busy the time I was eating. After reading reviews, I wonder where people normally eat as most restaurants have a charge for sharing if they let you all. I like the quiet atmosphere to relax. “wow i am yearning for the day i can come back and try more from this menu! this place is always booked and busy so my brother and i made a visit first thing they opened for lunch. our server was amazing and his recommendation for the kale pakora chaat for an app and the bhapa doi for dessert were 10/10. a party of 2 is not enough people to fully explore the menu. we were so stuffed after sharing an app, 2 entrees, and a dessert. i am so excited to come back. it’s so cute in here and i had such an amazing time.“

“The food was genuinely a 10/10. I ordered doro wat definitely recommend. We ordered our dishes and then came out within 15 minutes very fast. The customer service was good and the vibes and energy was good as well, mind this was on a Tuesday at 10pm. Definitely check this plate out.
Also on of the ladies was really sweet in helping dishing out my food. I felt very welcomed 🥰“
