“So, I love me some fish! I was craving fish today and decided to give Seafood Shanty a visit since I was in the area. I had not been in quite some time, so I was not sure what to expect. Guys, I am horrible with taking pictures, but the fish smelled so delightful I had to try a piece while driving 😉. I was quite satisfied that the fish (trout) was very fresh, not overly seasoned or salty, and very delicious. I ordered the shrimp and fish platter for $15.99, which included 3 pieces of decent size filets, I believe it has 5 or 6 pieces of medium-sized shrimp, fries, and coleslaw. The fries were good, and the coleslaw was just okay. The customer service was friendly, and my food was served with smiles and thank yous. Needles to say I will be back for fish Friday and will take pictures!“

“I ordered the 2 piece catfish dinner with rice and gravy and string beans. It was very delicious. The fish was well seasoned, crispy, fresh, and made to order. The gravy turned that plain rice into a southern delight! Nothing too special about the green beans, but they had a nice flavor and complimented the fish. I was greeted warmly with a genuine smile. My only criticism is that they should serve the cornbread warm instead of cold. I paid $17 dollars and it was worth it. I'll be back as a customer.Update: I went back to try this place for a second time, and the gravy wasn't consistent with the rice. It had a slightly watery taste.“

Everything about this restaurant is so nice: from the views to the atmosphere of the restaurant itself and the service, all is a nice experience. It is a very big place as they have seating in different places. I particularly enjoyed the covered seating on the outside near the water. The menu was varied and offered a variety of seafood options. I enjoyed the crispy crunchy hush puppies and the clam chowder. Very tasty! The service was excellent as well. Would I return to this restaurant? Yes!“

“My lady and I visited the Crab Cab on Veterans Day 2024. We were really looking for a good seafood restaurant in the DMV. We choose the Crab Cab based on the online reviews and we are soooo happy we did. The food was AMAZING!! It was a little bit of a wait to recieve our order, because they were truly making it to order!!! you have a view of the chefs at work in the kitchen as they make your food. I usually take a doggie bag of left overs...........but I had NONE. I just could not stop eating!! Truly delicious food, friendly atmosphere, pleasant owners. I will defintley be back!!!“

“First time getting food from here on a random Tuesday night, and I was particularly struck by the two women behind the counter (receipt says one is named Denise!) who were especially lovely and personable. It says a lot that, in a less than two minute conversation, as I ordered and then picked up my food, I was taken by that interaction enough to where I wanted to write a review shouting out their excellence! Food wise, I got the CT roll which was simple but stupid delicious. Lobster, butter, toaaty bread, what's not to love? The bisque was meh, but I paid to get crab lumps added, and those were large and sweet and tasty.

“OMG!! The crabs we some of the best crabs I had in a while. I got a dozen of XL Males, a half dozen large females and a pound of steamed shrimp. First let me say me I received what I paid for which is a plus!! I did not pay for XL and received medium or Large and received small. They were seasoned well and cooked perfectly.

“Paradise Island Grill came highly recommended by someone who’s taste buds I give the utmost respect, so I ordered this with the highest of hopes!! And I was not disappointed- the oxtails were seasoned to perfection.

The rice and peas were also pretty tasty, as was the sauce that came with it. The flavours from the Jamaican spices, butter beans, thyme and other ingredients all blended really really well and were definitely really moreish.

The man behind this whiskey magic is Edward, the bartender/manager. Edward is knowledgeable and loves to talk about his offerings, so don’t be shy, ask questions and be prepared to learn a little something! We have enjoyed everything from their brunch offerings, seafood and burgers! Wine to whiskey and everything in between and have never been disappointed! We recently moved, and now have to brave 45 minutes of Beltway traffic (and that’s on a good day as we all know..lol) to get to this spot.
