To say that the wings at this ABW in Fort Washington are absolutely the best I ever had, is an understatement. This is my new favorite place to eat when I head north to Maryland. The blend of flavors, textures and colors was an epicurean delight. Our waiter/bartender Damany was thoughtful, always on point without being intrusive. “We poped online and made a reservation. The parking lot is big with lots of spots on the side. We arrived and got seated right away. Out waitress was great the appetizer came out quick and hot. The food all came out cooked correctly and tasted great. The portions were large and filled the plates up. I haven't been here in a while but left full and happy. “What an experience! I came from Alabama on a work trip. My fellow employees and I were trying to find a seafood restaurant and stumbled upon this restaurant on a Wednesday. And boy did we hit the jackpot! The food was amazing first off. Second off, we had been wanting to do karaoke and there was a DJ! We sang at the table while we were eating and had such an amazing time. The atmosphere is phenomenal! I have to say that it is definitely a lot more tasty than many other Chinese restaurants in the area. The veggies are not frozen or canned, there was real freshness to them. “The menu instantly made me nostalgic—it felt like good, comforting soul food before I even ordered. This is a Black-owned, mom-and-pop restaurant, and from the moment I walked in, they were hospitable, personable, and welcoming.

I ordered the whiting dinner with mac and cheese and yams. The fish was fresh and flavorful, the yams were delicious, and the mac and cheese had the perfect balance of creamy and cheesy without being too heavy.

I will definitely be back, and I already know I’ll be picking up food during the holidays—especially that sweet potato pie!

“I was a little skeptical at first cause that’s quite a title to claim “America’s Best” but goddum! I think this might be one of the best wing spots I ever been to, at least this location.
