“After sampling half of their menu over the last year, I can finally say that Spot of Tea has officially solidified its spot as my go-to boba spot in DC. This humble little stall tucked in the back of Union Market has it all -- a delicious and perfectly crafted menu, friendly and efficient service, and simple yet adorable decor that creates a calming space in the middle of Union Market's bustle.They have a great selection of teas that includes both classic favorites like Thai tea or your basic milk tea, but also a smattering of exciting new flavors / seasonal specials like mango hibiscus or calamansi ginger. If you're anything like me and struggle to make even the most basic of decisions, their menu also features decision guides, listing out caffeine levels, flavor profiles, and a one-line "why you should pick this drink" for quickly comparing between different options.Regardless of which drink you choose, Spot of Tea is sure to satisfy any craving, whether it's for something rich and milky, fruity and refreshing, or just straight-up caffeine. It'll also include some of DC's best boba pearls, with the perfect chewy, QQ texture (or lychee jelly if you'd prefer). I also love that they default to using oat milk for all their drinks at no extra charge, although you can request a switch to dairy milk if you'd prefer.While it's hard to pick a favorite from their phenomenal menu, a few stand-outs are:- Mango Hibiscus (great for cooling down on a hot summer day)- Mango Yuzu Black Tea (great for cooling down on a hot summer day...but also with caffeine)- Hot Black Sesame Latte (who needs hot chocolate when you can have a rich, piping hot cup of black sesame latte / milk?)In addition to their teas, they also create a delicious oat milk soft serve. You can either get matcha, black sesame, or a swirl of the two flavors -- my personal preference is always the swirl, but both flavors are great on their own as well. You would never guess its dairy-free from how rich and creamy it is, and their ice cream is the perfect level of sweetness, with the slightly bitter matcha and nutty sesame seeds breaking through the sugar.All in all, I truly can't recommend Spot of Tea enough -- absolutely swing by to give their teas and soft serve a shot!“
“I went here for lunch as I was looking for something a little bit light and this place did not disappoint. Their menu consist of customizable sushi, bowls, and sushi burritos, as well as a variety of drinks and small bites. I got the B5 silver spring roll without the wonton chips and with added eel sauce. The service was very quick and the woman working in the store was very kind and helpful. My burrito was really good and the fish tasted fresh. I opted to eat in my car, but there is plenty of seating within the establishment if you have a small party. This place is located next to the LA fitness in the shopping center. if I'm ever in the area again, I'll definitely stop here for a quick bite.“

“Dumpling District is in the back of Luna Food Hall. It's a cozy spot with tables and couches. There's also bubble tea, ice cream, and a bar here to go along with your meal. They made the dumplings fresh in front of us and they were amazing. The one thing I didn't like was the stir-fry noodles because it didn't have much flavor. Definitely come here for a fresh and tasty soup dumpling!“
“It's pricier than other places, but the consistency and quality is worth the price imo. This is my go-to over Gong Cha, KFT, Cha time, and Beng Gong's. Good songs also. Decent parking. Heavily enforced parking lot, so PAY FOR IT, it's not a bad rate.“

“We were there for lunch the first time , i ordered Barbecue beef brisket Bento box and darjeeling tea . Beef was good but i was so disappointed with sweet potatoes and broccoli, they was so cold like fridge cold, i was imagined like nice warm veggies but it's not so i didn't eat the veggies only eat the beef and rice but all the souces are good.“
“Great little boba, drink and pastry shop. I've only had the bubble tea and it's always been great. The workers are kind as well. Just know that they put a lot of sugar, to the point that at 100% sugar all the flavors taste basically the same. Aside from that, it's a great place that I would recommend (and takes GWorld!)“
“I had their brown sugars, Zhang , Zhang , special Boba and I give it five out of five stars. My favorite brown sugar Boba is from Tiger Sugar, and I would say that this one might be even better. The Boba itself is nice and chewy and the drink is very creamy. Will be coming here again. Next time I'm in Georgetown to try out more of their flavors.“
“I’ve become a regular here, after first trying their HK style signature milk tea one year ago. I am so happy that I can drink authentic tasting HK milk tea. I missed it so much after my trip to HK last year! It is like a special treat for me. The caffeine level is so strong so I can’t drink this in the afternoon or I won’t be able to fall asleep. I tried making my own HK milk tea at home but it doesn’t taste the same. I honestly have so many of Cuppa Tea glass bottles, and use them for assort storage at home, haha.My daughter also loves the egg waffles, Chinese pastries/bread. We always order the Amber fresh milk for her (it’s technically brown sugar milk minus the tea.) I ask for less brown sugar. Their oolong milk foam tea is very delicious too at 50% sweet. I like to taste the delicious oolong tea and prefer less sugar. But others might find it not sweet enough. My husband likes the mango sago and we also have 4 of those glass cups that we reuse at home as water cups now. ? pineapple bun is so good too. I usually remove the butter.Also, the manager is so awesome! She remembers my daughter’s name and her preference for clear jelly instead of pearls.When you use their app, you can get rewards. They have a buy 3 drinks get one free drink promo sometimes. Monday - Thursday, they have a buy a drink and get 50% off egg waffle. My daughter likes their matcha egg waffle the most.“
“Easy five stars. There is so much passion in this little place. It feels like a home cooked meal. Pretty much is. The owner is so kind and welcoming. It's a glimpse of what I wish more businesses were like, with charm, quality, and love of the craft of tea making and food. It's a cute little place with lots of personality. “I tried the Taiwanese Chicken w/ Ground Pork on Rice. Portion sizes provide incredible value and are extremely filling. Been visiting here since around 2020 and it certainly doesn’t disappoint. The chicken was slightly salty but the combination of flavors between a hint of spicy and savory from Taiwanese chicken is complimented by the ground pork on rice with the freshness from the vegetables. All things considered, a great hole in the wall kind of place. Went in on a Friday night and the place was pretty quiet with the exception of a few people dining in. Most take food to go, service was efficient and enjoyable. My only suggestion is that the rice is lacking some type of sauce considering the portion size. Great food, atmosphere and great flavors!“
“They have a pretty nice range of flavors and options to choose from. I enjoyed the pumpkin milk tea a lot. Their mung bean bun was also really good! They have a counter to sit and eat at to if you want to stop for a minute. The inside is very pretty and the atmosphere is pleasant. The service was quick and the worker at the counter was very helpful!! Will definitely be coming back on future trips.“
“Recently went to Fuji Japan since most restaurants in the area were closed and my parents and I were craving some type of Asian cuisine.Food is average, but decent given the price. It's a casual restaurant so when ordering you go up to the counter and pay for your food. If you decide to dine-in they'll serve you. Service is fairly quick though so no complaints about that. I had tried their boba which was not the best but not the worst. I don't think I would get it again in comparison to actually boba stores. It's definitely not tea based but I'm just glad it wasn't overly sweet. The tapioca tasted pretty good though! I recommend their miso soup but their salad and tempura you can skip out on.“
“I was in town from Tampa Florida and found Share tea across the street from my hotel. I went twice in the same day I loved it so much.!!! I am still thinking about the tea I had..:not sure if I will be able to find a place here in Tampa as good as ShareTea … The girl was also so helpful that was working there to explain the different teas that I could have.“
“I’ve been going here for short of two years and it’s always been amazing. Staff have always been incredible and fast with their work, food always comes fast, a variety of delicious options for different types of customers, the atmosphere of the shop is very cozy and comforting, down to the music. As a shop, it’s grown amazingly and after having many types of food there I find myself liking the fruit teas. I love how you can control the sweetness for different orders and they really are quite a delicacy. The price has raised a bit, but it’s still worth it because the higher the prices the more high quality supplies they can acquire, making the service still equally valuable. Lots of the food is great too. 10/10 experience.“
“I'm only going to review this place for the Bubble Tea section so this is strictly for Bee's & Tea. I don't think there's a listing for it but it's inside and you order at the bar. Very interesting concept but it works. Overall, since it's inside Asia Bistro, you'll see tables for diners and lots of cool modern asian decor. Even walking in has a small fountain that is the first thing you'll see. The bar itself has the entire menu of what you could order Boba wise but you could also order alcohol too. There's many options to pick honestly. I got the Strawberry Blush drink. It's black tea that's lightly sweetened with strawberry puree with strawberry heart jelly. It's really cute! I think I should have opted to order Boba instead because the jelly takes an effort to drink through the straw. I don't really have much to say but it's boba, lots of different teas to pick from ranging from Milk/Fruit/Thai Tea/Coffee, ect with many toppings.. Can't go wrong with a nice drink after food.“
“I got a taro bubble tea here and it was great! I wish I had taken a picture but I had already drank half of it by the time I thought about it. I'm very picky about my bubble tea as I make my own at home most days. So I don't want to waste money purchasing it when I'm out. But I was not disappointed and truly enjoyed my drink!“

“Gong Cha is the OG and there's a reason they're everywhere! Lots of flavor selections, quick service, and good tasting bubble tea. Ordering with the kiosk can be a bit weird because for some reason you can't change sugar or ice level on some drinks, but if you order at the counter the staff can make those modifications for you. I ordered a classic - dirty brown sugar milk tea with boba. The boba was excellent! Not super chewy, but not hard either. Went down easily and tasted great. The brown sugar milk tea tasted like brown sugar, not much to speak on there. Will be here whenever I'm in Rosslyn and have a hankering for bubble tea.“
“This review is based only off the drink quality. I really liked my rose milk tea drink and it was good for the price ($5-6), however the service was rude. The cashier gave me a lot of attitude when I ordered because I was asking too many questions.“
“I came here recently and everything is good, the food is very good, but too expensive in my opinion. The portions of fish in my bowl were also small. There’s also a bubble tea shop right next to it (2 different counters, same building space). The only thing that really turned me off about this place was that they were playing r&b music, rap music, and soft rock. Put on oriental-themed music instead! The music that was playing seriously messed up the good oriental vibe! Also, the decor is very nice, but consider adding more if you can... Otherwise, all else was very good. I will come back for some good food and bubble tea in the future:)“
“The staff here are very nice. It was my first time here and the place was clean and they had lots of comfy seating here. I ordered there Thai tea boba drink and it was really good. It does come with brown sugar in it which makes it taste very sweet. It was about $7. You can ask to have the drinks without sugar. This boba tea is definitely good though. They made it pretty quickly. Would come back.“
“It's a nice coffee shop. The bobas are a bit watered down for me, and I've gotten pretty bad stomach cramps from them, so I'm iffy about their safety + health standards. They have some board games here where you can relax with a friend, and the service is good. I also like the options of substituting boba for aloe jelly or another topping of your choice. The decor is pretty cute, and friendly, but wish it wasn't in the basement near a Chinese restaurant with a stinky cheese sort of smell.“
“What a fresh breakfast. It was delicious and fast, It took me 8 minutes to get my breakfast. I have to be at work at 6 am and they where open at 5:00 am. You can't find good and fresh breakfast in that neighborhood at 5:00 am. Great job ? ? I will be back. I recommend this restaurant try it.Very happy....“
“Tried Gong Cha for the first time and enjoyed what I had. I got the Taro Milk tea which tasted really good. I thought they had a fairly wide selection of flavor and add in’s. My only suggestion is to add Brown Sugar Boba to the menu for add ins! Otherwise gong cha satisfies.“

“My grandson and I were walking around the shops when he decided he wanted boba tea. We walked into Tea Mansion and the smells from all of the tea was so wonderfully aromatic and mouth watering. The server was very friendly and answered his questions and was very nice and not bothered. He got the raspberry blush with popping bubbles and it was almost gone by the time we walked out. If you love a good cup of tea, hot and/or iced, and you’re up for new flavors then stop in at Tea Mansion. Forgot to get pictures of our drinks but it is worth a stop“
“This beautiful place is located inside the Ellsworth plaza ground floor, many options to choose from, both hot and cold, flavored with various fruity and innovative flavors. The service is pretty fast and the staffs was very friendly. If you like bubble tea, I guess this is the only place to get it in downtown silver spring. I recommend you to visit this place.“
“I love how the frozen yogurt and the toppings are behind glass so little kids (mine own included) aren't touching everything. The cashier was so kind as my son was having a meltdown in the shop and she tried to make him happy which is so uncommon as of late. This shop will definitely have our patronage. The kids got frozen yogurt chocolate and peach mango and I got a peach mango smoothie. Everything tasted great. If you want something super sweet maybe this isn't the right place for you. We don't like super sweet treats at my house so this was the perfect amount of sweet.“

“I got the mixed meat order; two meats and macaroni & cheese. It was twenty bucks. There is more than enough meat for one person to have 3-4 meals. The mac & cheese should last two meals unless you want to pig out. Haha “get it” pig out while eating pig. Funny …..no? I got the pork ribs and brisket. The ribs were very meaty and had a nice Smokey taste (see pictures with the smoke ring on edge of the ribs). Brisket was tender and tasty but a little too lean to make this pappy happy. Mac & cheese is cheesy, but it ain’t like “big momma’s. What you waiting for “goin git yo grub on” it may not be lip smacking but it can be belly bustin.“
