The flavors actually add to the ice cream instead of take away from it. The texture is good too, but that's true of a lot of places.

The Brown Butter Old Fashioned is the best I’ve ever had. The staff went above and beyond to help us celebrate our anniversary. At the end of the meal, they presented us with a special, DELICIOUS dessert that included a thin piece of chocolate that said “Happy Anniversary” on it. “Lulabelle’s is an absolute gem in Petworth. They hands down have the best coffee on the block, their espresso drinks are soooo delicious and you should try the cold brew on tap! The ice cream is to die for, hands down best ice cream in DC and the pastries and other foods are creative and delicious. “We love Carmen's Ice, even more than Rita's. Last weekend on Jaden Day, we arrived at 8:40 pm and joined the long line with our out of town guest. We reached our turn at 9:03 and were reprimanded because they closed at 9:00. I finally mentioned that we were in line at 8:30, and she continued to rattle on and on.

Repeatedly the staff told customers, "we don't have that because we truned our oven off", even before 9:00. Poor customer service, which is unusual.

“Haagen-Dazs is probably one of the most expensive ice cream places that I have been to, almost $8-$9 after tax. However, what makes them stand out from other ice cream stores is that they don’t use artificial ingredients, and their ice cream is a bit bold and dense compared to other ice cream brands. I really like their Belgian chocolate, because of the creaminess, richness of the chocolate.

I would say the service is great even though there is usually a big crowd waiting for their ice cream, especially when it gets closer to closing time. However, regarding the atmosphere, it feels a little cramped to be eating ice cream, especially with such limited seating. The staff aren’t the friendliest and gave a bit of an attitude when I asked about nuts, with no clear answer, but it panned out because the ice cream actually didn’t have nuts.
