“The food was absolutely delicious! I come from West Virginia but every time I visit DC I stop by this restaurant at least once! Butter chicken pizza is a fav! Nana is also super tasty! We had the chicken Vindaloo and the Samosa Chaat and both were also fantastic! We were trying to decide between a few different chicken dishes and the server said dont worry i'll bring you the vindaloo and you'll love it! And we did! I will keep coming here every time I visit DC!“

“I live in VA, but love to try different food. My second time here, because food was great. The girl serving was super too. Was not busy the time I was eating. After reading reviews, I wonder where people normally eat as most restaurants have a charge for sharing if they let you all. I like the quiet atmosphere to relax. Nice to be able to have a glass of wine & do that. The manager was super friendly too.“

“I was there with friends as a walk in (a very large party) for Eid brunch on Friday and even though we did not have reservations and they always have a great crowd, Chai Pani was very helpful and patient with us and made it happen. Swathi and Kua are AWESOME!!! The food is amazing but we all loved how nice and accomodating the staff was with everything. Thanks =)“

“The Essence was truly an amazing way to deliver food and bring our party to life! With over eighty guests that were all starving we were surprised on how fast they delivered the food and even brought it in for us. You could tell that they put in a lot of work to make this truly exceptional authentic kerala food. And if you didn’t like one thing then there were many other options that would be sure to make your mouth water. Some items include biryanis cutlets and curries with fluffy Apams that deserves the five stars.“

“First time visiting DC, after exploring the city and carrying a toddler who was all set to throw tantrums the moment we sat to dine at Jab we met, the staff and the manager of the restaurant impressed us with their sweet and kind gesture by offering a cup of mango lassi and other treats to calm down our little bundle of joy who was bubbling with a lot of energy and excitement of being at new place and surroundings. The lady was really courteous and the food was great 👍 We enjoyed the meal and a bunch of thanks to the lady, manager and the whole staff of Jab we met👏 Thank you 🙏“

“I’ve been eating food at this place for a few years. The food always tastes amazing especially if you are looking for South Indian style. One of the only places that will serve Pulao as well as a variety of Biryanis. The staff and owner are also very nice and serve the food with a lot of care“

“Wanted to try something new during birthday excursion. redditors recommended this place. finding out that they had a buffet helped me ensure I'd definitely find something I like. but I actually loved EVERYTHING they had in their buffet once I got there. had multiple plates. If I lived closer, it would've been a regular spot for me. hope to visit again soon. would recommend to anyone.“

“Absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish. The food was exceptional, the staff was attentive and courteous, and the elegant ambiance made for a great dining experience. “At first we were a little surprised to be eating in a Days Inn -- and Al-Madani is unassuming atmospherically. However, the food was flavorful and delicious (aloo palak, lamb tikka kabobs, garlic naan), and the staff were wonderfully kind and caring. I feel like this is a hidden gem and hope many more people find them and that they get lots of business!“
