“I stopped in with friends before a event Sunday evening. The staff was warm and welcoming. I had the lentil sambusas and a peanut-infused coffee at the staff’s recommendation. The food was fast and delicious- the sambusas were warm and spicy, and the peanut coffee was delicious! In a kind gesture, the chef sent over a sampling of sushi to our table. Fresh and refreshing, the sushi was a nice complement to my sambusas and hot beverage. I’m not on this side of town often, but now I have a reason to come back.“

“Food: food was great, only deduction was the chicken appetizer was extremely small for the price paid. The pineapple frid rice was really good but pricy at almost $23. About 5 pieces of juicy shrimp were in the dish as well. Kruba cashew chicken was good.

Service: got there as soon as they opened for lunch so seated right away and food was quickly delivered.

Atmosphere: nice but a bit dated. Many of the tables are uneven and no longer sit together flush. Ambiance was nice, Thai decor all around and wooden vibe.

“I have had gastro issues for about a week, and I have had a hard time eating without feeling sick or running to the bathroom, however since I started feeling better today I have been craving Pho. My boyfriend was in the area and decided to stop for a Poke bowl and noticed that there was Pho on the menu so he got me the combination and it was delicious. The broth was rich and flavorful, the meat cuts were tender, and the veggies were crisp and fresh. I’m looking forward to trying more entrees, but if nothing else I know the Pho is good.“

“We had bento boxes—one bulgogi and one salmon sushi. Food was hot, tempura light, dumplings practically flash fried and bulgogi was shaved and tender with classic, flavorful marinade. The homemade mint lemonade was delightful after a hot day staying hydrated with just water. It was an easy 10 minute 0.4 mile walk from the East National Art gallery. The place is small, clean, casual and tucked down a street that looks like an alley, with I think the owners cooking.“

“I got the tonkatsu ramen. The broth was rich. The slices of pork were fresh, juicy, tender, slightly sweet, and abundant. There were at least 6 slices in that bowl. The assortment of vegetables and narutomaki added unique, delicious tastes and textures to the dish. Their food presentation is perfect. You'd have to see it to believe it. “I went at noon and it was not crowded at all, and it was quiet, a big bonus for me these days. No loud music and people shouting in order to converse over it. The food was very good, very fresh. I highly recommend this restaurant for Asian fusion cuisine and sushi.“

“I've ordered from this place sooo much. I always get the sashimi, I usually get the sashimi platter. This last time I got the sashimi appetizer + vegetable dumplings. I have learned that this is one of the sushi places that plays with the term, "white fish." Some places use it for white tuna, some use it for yellowtail etc. I got the sushimi appetizer as it was advertised as salmon, tuna, and white fish--my favorites, except not the white fish I wanted lol. This was more translucent, and half-pink. That was my gamble. Can't really tell what the white sashimi I get in the platter is, I think its white tuna, but I won't make the mistake again.Nice, solid slices of shaved ginger. Good if you're sick! “Khin’s Sushi gets my vote for tasty sushi at reasonable prices. Khin’s is in an odd space. They share their small and minimal dining area with a pizza place. Khin’s also sells gelato. It’s a weird one-stop-shop for all things lunch. But I digress. We tried a variety of basic sushi like their California roll. It was all good. The rolls were not huge. But we enjoyed them. The service is a bit gruff. And the ambiance is pure 80’s fast food. But forget about all of that. Go in, grab some sushi while your spouse/partner/friend grabs a slice. And enjoy a good meal together. We will return.“

“I watched a co-worker having what I referred to as "a food fantasy". They recommended this particular location for its service and food. My waze directed me to the location which is adjacent to the JCPENNEY parking lot in a strip with 2 other businesses.I arrived midday and was welcomed by a pleasant woman near the door. Within 5-10 minutes my meal was prepared which was a combo of teriyaki chicken and shrimp with veggies, noodles, green onions, sesame seeds and extra sauce.The staff was very pleasant and appeared to work well together as a team. The portions were generous and I would definitely eat there again. After I got home I too had "a food fantasy". My vegetables were perfectly cooked, not hard or overcooked. The meats were tender, fresh and flavorable.I have since eaten at two other locations and have come back to this one for a new combo. This time I added steak and the next time I will add salmon which came highly recommended by many people.I would definitely recommend this location, the service and the food options.

“Red Maple is more than a sushi place and COULD be a great place to hang out. I’ve been a patron since they’ve opened and might dine in more if the atmosphere was more inviting. Every time I’ve dined in, only about 20% to 30% of their tables are full.

FOOD - They have a nice variety of Chinese, Japanese, and Thai entrees in addition to sushi. Generous portions that are full of flavor, and not overly sauced.

SERVICE - Although the restaurant was far from full on a Thursday night at 6:30, we were rushed every step of the way; from drink orders, to bringing the check. Instead of a leisurely meal with great conversation, there were constant interruptions beyond polite attentiveness.

ATMOSPHERE - I would not describe this place as cozy, more of a 90s club vibe - dark interior with bright lights. The menus could use a refresh as several of the prices were crossed off and written in with some items crossed off because they are no longer available. The temperature when I was there a few days ago was uncomfortable. To be fair, it was 90 degrees out, but it felt like it was also 90 degrees in the restaurant, and humid, with no fans.“
