“Bark Social Bethesda is my Happy Place. The atmosphere is relaxed and joyous. In the morning wake up with a custom coffee or celebrate throughout the day with great craft beers on tap, frozen creations in the summer or something spicy and warm in the cooler months. New items are added to the Cafe menu all the time. Best of all bring along your 4 legged best buddy (or come by yourself) because there are plenty of pets to go around, as dogs frolic. You will be smiling before you know it. There is no cover charge for humans. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. Also, check out their fun events, movies, trivia and community fundraisers. “Fun bar to chill and hang out with friends, or meet new ones. There are 3 pool tables and more than 6 screens. There is even a pull down screen when they have video games. The pool tables are 7 foot bar tables and well felted. You pay with a card on the table and it’s about $2 a rack. The vibe is good with various music and neon lights. Very Instagramable if you like taking photos with neon and fake plant walls. There is bar seating and seating at tables. There is no food at the Toro Bar so bring your own.

Toro always has sports on TV and drink specials. They have a beer and shot special and other mixed drinks. Don’t expect a world class cocktail, but expect a fun night and good people. This is a good neighborhood bar in Columbia Heights and Uptown. A short 10 minute walk from the Petworth Metro station. It’s right on 14th Street NW and off the bus line too. There is street parking in front.

“This speakeasy in DC is awesome! It’s got plenty of space, so you’re not squished up against people, which is great. The wooden walls and red velvet chairs make it feel super fancy, like you’re stepping back in time or something. The drinks are really good—lots of options, and they all taste amazing. The vibe is chill but classy, and it’s a cool spot to hang out with friends or impress someone on a date. Definitely worth checking out!“

“Solid bottomless brunch! The drinks are STRONG, food delicious and filling and exactly what you want when you are doing a bottomless brunch. Appetizers were a little pricey imo, but $48 for an entree and unlimited cocktails I mean I can’t think of a better bottomless brunch I’ve been to for that price point. Also super cute vibes - beachy/coastal. Could be a casual breakfast or a boozy brunch with the girls!

(Note: if you are an espresso martini connessuier, don’t get it. It is made with cold brew and they add sugar so it’s quite sweet. It’s alright especially for a bottomless, but if you’re picky get any other drink.)

“If you’re in DC, Quill cocktail bar is the place to go. Its dim lit atmosphere and ambience provides such an intimate setting whether for friends and family or for business. You have your choice of sitting indoors or outside on their raised patio. Oh, and the service here is phenomenal! When you first sit, they bring you mixed nuts and olives and introduce themselves. Their cocktail menu may have only been just a page but if it’s not on there, they can definitely make it for you. My wife requested an Espresso Martini (non-menu) and it was the best of its kind she’s had yet. She also enjoyed the Ventura Highway, from their menu. My personal favorite of theirs was the “Johnny be Woode.” This became my go-to there. They do have a dinner menu as well. Their burger exceeded my expectations! Their desert menu impressed! The presentation was artwork and the flavors will surely make you long for more. Our server two of the three nights we were there was Andrew. Andrew made sure we had everything we needed and could possibly want. He provided absolutely excellent service, great humor, and pleasant conversation. On our third evening here, Amber greeted and served us. Amber is another gem at Quill, making recommendations on menu items as well as local recommendations around the town based off what my taste preferences are. Both Andrew and Amber had an awesome attitude and helped make our stay at the Jefferson Hotel just that much more memorable! The atmosphere, service, and great attitudes made for such a unique and satisfying experience that we ended each of our evenings, visiting Quill. Next time we’re in town, we will definitely be going back to Quill.“

“A cute little dive bar! Certainly got busy, which was nice, though it bordered too crowded at some points. This is really not the fault of the bar though, and shows instead that it’s loved by the community! Drinks were reasonably priced and darts were free to play.“

“Edit: metrobar responded and the parent was a contractor, not associated with the business. Other than the strange experience with him, metrobar was lovely and had delicious drinks, perfect before seeing a movie.

I had a disturbing experience at metrobar tonight (12/6 at around 6 PM). A man working , in his late 30s/early 40s, left his 3-year-old daughter unattended in a busy bar at night. The little girl was clearly scared and looking for her dad, who did nothing to ensure her safety. She wandered around the bar, playing with guests and talking to strangers, without supervision.

It is deeply troubling to see a child left alone in a dark corner of a bar, without a jacket, and with no one to ensure she doesn’t wander out the door. When I finally got the man’s attention and confronted him about his negligence, he got defensive, claiming others were watching her. However, it’s not the bartenders’ or bussers’ job to babysit. It’s his responsibility to keep his child safe.

Whoever this man was, owner or manager, shame on you. You’re very lucky your child stayed safe tonight. This experience makes it hard to support this business, and I doubt I will ever be back to support metrobar :(“

“Went on a Tuesday evening with a group. We were the only ones there. Service, food, drinks, music were all fantastic.
I had the Lamb burger and it was delicious!
Beers in draft were excellent and Eric our waiter offer fantastic recommendations for local/small brewery options.
If you want a good burger, tots, and a beer this is the place to go.
Others I went with had kabobs, salads, and pastas. All looked amazing.
Itay look like a bar, but the food is much better than typical "bar" food.“
