“It was a beautiful day to eat outdoors. The use of big fans to circulate a little air in the shade helped to keep the temperature comfortable. Make sure you check the weather forecast before you commit to an outside table, as storms tend to form in the afternoons.“

“I am a long-time patron of S52 and it just gets better with the years. I was hosting two guests, visiting from another country, and they could not stop with the compliments...staff, food, beverages, atmosphere etc. Derek took care of us at the table, with a drive-by from a familiar friend, Justin. And Sammy and Sean took care of the drinks, which were perfect as usual. Derek was funny, polite, savvy, and really took time to take care of us. One of the unique things about S52 is that, if you, as the customer, are willing to engage with and be kind to the staff, the return on that tiny investment will pay off immediately and obviously. It's always a pleasure at S52 and, at a time when the stresses of life seem to multiply exponentially, a respite from it all at this place is worth the time and comparatively limited cost.“

“I dropped in during Happy Hour by chance for a bite to eat and was pleasantly surprised to learn that Happy Hour Specials applied to table dining at full sized portions. It was great opportunity to try a pizza and a queso appetizer affordably.

They both were very tasty. The portion size of the queso was smaller than expected but so rich and flavorful that it was satisfying and good to share.

The atmosphere was family friendly despite many people meeting for drinks. My 11yo and I were comfortable and enjoyed our early dinner. I’ll return to try other menu items.“

“My wife and I had brunch on the patio at the White House location today and it was fantastic! We had a mezze platter appetizer, Havana sandwich and shakshuka & arepas entrees, and tres leches for dessert. All were spectacular, as was the service! Highly recommended!“

“My experience at Earl's kitchen is always a good one. Yesterday I walked in and was greeted by one of the lovely hosts Haneen. She walked me to my table with great energy and made sure I was seated somewhere with not too much noise, as I requested. The food that I ordered was from the happy hour menu, which was great as always! Manager, Waleed, came to check up on me throughout my time dining in and made sure I was having a pleasant experience. It's evident that the staff at Earl's care a lot about their customers and want to make sure they walk out with a 10/10 experience!“

“The food quality is very good at Black Salt. There were at least 5 items not listed on the regular menu which were also available for dinner. We liked the fact that several choices were seasonal in nature- which allowed those items to be available.“

“Very satisfied on my first visit to Ellie Bird. We came for Brunch for my wife’s birthday. The staff were all very attentive and many wished her a happy birthday as they welcomed us in, which often gets overlooked at other restaurants, but it made her morning feel so much more special. It may seem like a small notion, but it was a touching detail to our initial visit. The brunch menu is small but packed with flavors and meaningful dishes. We love this and wish we could try it all. We decided to start with the PB&J French toast as a shared app. It’s an entree item, but upon hearing how much the owner loves this item we had to try it out. We also ordered the Pineapple Bun sliders and Tornado omelette. For us the trio of entrees was the perfect blend of savory, sweet, and salty, hitting all the right notes. Also highly recommend the Ellie Bird Latte. Glad we came, we will be back for more!“

Not right especially if customers have respiratory issues. Some in the restaurant that day were experiencing discomfort Stay away from the Rockville Location until they fix the AC“

“The service was A plus! -all the way from the Host, our waiter and the people who served our food. The steak was phenomenal! We all loved the steak. The Fresh Cut Fries were just average. We were not at all impressed with the fries. We all loved the restaurant but I do hope the restaurant will do something to improve the Fries.“

“Great foood - amazing fresh fish - sea bass (rockfish) and halibut along with a terrific tuna tartare. Knowledgable wait staff but possibly a mess up in the kitchen and our entrees took a very long time to come out. The team comped us a desert which was very nice of them. “I was visiting the DC area and wanted pizza, so I decided to try Matchbox. I love a meaty pizza, so I ordered The Pig, which was loaded with pepperoni, ham, sausage, salami, and bacon, and it was super cheesy! Most of the toppings were underneath the cheese. I chose a 10-inch pizza, which was a good size if you have a big appetite or want to share with a friend. The service was excellent; my waiter was very attentive. The space was clean, relaxed, and private enough for each party to enjoy their own area.“
