This shop is in Rockville and there’s practically a bubble tea spot on every corner, but this one is worth your time and money. Kevin, the owner, is a super sweet older Chinese man who takes true pride in his teas. You can taste the love and effort. “I can see why people want to keep this little spot a secret. Tucked away on a side street this unassuming coffee shop is a real gem.

I got a caramel latte and one of the creme donuts and the coffee impressed me at the first sip. Really smooth, not bitter and perfect sweetness. The donut was a perfect accompaniment. Service was attentive and quick.

“Fantastic pastries! The fruit/berry pastries and mochi donuts are my go-to and my husband loves all the varieties of croissants. The coffee can be hit and miss (sometimes the flavorings they put in their specialty lattes are a tad overpowering) but they're good enough that I will keep ordering them. Staff is always great, too. Very friendly and they work hard to make sure the displays are full and fresh.“

The barista, Elisabeth I believe, kept a conversation with me while making my drink, asking for my foam preferences and temperature, because I told her I had a long day ahead of me. She wanted to ensure my drink stayed warm throughout my day. She smiled and wished me a wonderful day. I hope her manager thanks her on my behalf. She is one of the few baristas that keep up the customer care aspect of Starbucks that has been unfortunately dwindling.“

“This is a nice little Starbucks inside a Safeway store. Getting to the store is easy - right next to the entrance of Safeway. We stop by this store when my son has a sporting event in the area. Placing an order is easy but the drinks may take a few minutes to arrive since (generally) the person taking the order is the same person making the drink.Drinks are made well though and the food is also warmed up perfectly.There is plenty of parking outside.“

“Love the roasted oolong and honey amber oolong here! Two times I’ve had a self created issue one where I caused a spill with a hot drink and the workers were so polite about it and another where we forgot to order boba and they were able to add it after if we paid for the bubbles themselves. So thankful that they have been understanding both times and that the boba never fails to be good here!“
