“A hidden gem! We were the only ones eating in on a rainy Saturday afternoon, but several people came in for pick up orders. The Testaccio and Tartufo sandwiches and hot latte we got were excellent. It was less than 5 minutes before we had our food and coffee. Hot and flavorful, with delicious fluffy focaccia bread. Enough food to eat half the sandwich and take home the rest. Clean, comfortable low tables and other high-top seating we didn't try.“

“I went into McAlester’s deli and I believe the cashier name was Iyana and she was so patient and welcoming! She was the best with assisting, helping and even suggesting things. “This place has never disappointed me over 3-4 visits at this specific location over 3 years. I’ve tried the one at I think Wheaton or something and Baltimore near Johns Hopkins and this place is always at least a 4/5 and the other locations really paled in comparison.

Comforting to see that a popular train station has reliable fast food. Fries are my favorite kind, crispy on the outside but super fluffy on the inside. Gourmet fries are also delish. Cheesesteaks (as someone who’s never been to Philly yet) seem pretty good at the price point too.“
