“Desserts are nothing to write home about. They are nothing special is what I am trying to say. However, if you are looking for excellent bread then this shop is the best. The quality of the bread making is outstanding and above average if you looking for good bread.“

“This is hands down the best bakery I have ever been to. I don’t think you can go wrong with anything they have. My personal favs from my recent visit were the scallion, egg & cheese croissant, crab rangoon croissant, and strawberry milk donut. If you are in the area while Rose Ave is open, you would be doing yourself a disservice by not stopping by. The only negative thing i can say about going here is that, for people who do not live in or frequent the DC area, you will forever long to return. There was almost 5 years between my first and second visit here, and i dreamed of that return every single day.“

“It was my first time going to this place , the staff can try to be more welcoming and pleaseant and help they clients to order , I had to take my mask off to speak and let them know what i wanted and as i was ordering I felt like i was being rushed to order , the food was tasting but tge owner needs to change the way the food is charged , I was charge for each separate item this is not a place where you order yourself a complete meal for a full charge , the food was delicious but I would not go back and another turn off in the bakery area they had flies around the sweet bread .“

“I came to try this bakery after seeing it promoted on Instagram as an authentic Asian-style bakery. I miss the Japanese bakeries I would frequent often when living in Japan a few years ago, and this one definitely brought back those memories. The interior is cute and on display were a variety of Asian-style baked goods and some minimal seating. I got the ube twist and melon pan. The ube twist was really delicious — I’d highly recommend it. The melon pan was disappointing; I expect a crunchy cookie crust on melon pan and this one was sticky and soft. The bread itself was super plush and soft and amazing, so it would be great if they could improve upon it with a crunchier cookie crust. The bread items were $3-4 each, so not the cheapest, but I was happy to support a local Asian bakery.“

“I love coming to this Paris baguette every week before work. julieth was incredibly helpful and inviting. I was in a rush as I had a bus to catch and she quickly rung me up and got me a bag to hold my delicious pastries. Great customer service! “When this place is good it is excellent but there are times when the food and experience are just a bit inconsistent. Sometimes the French toast or bacon will be dried out or like it's been sitting for a little bit under the light but when it hits it really is the best. I've rated it four stars just because consistency is so critically important with a restaurant and we often debate if we're even gonna go because we know when it's not great it's just not worth it especially for the cost.

I will also say the atmosphere itself is fine and what you'd expect. It's at least very clean, which is important. Our favorite items are:
- the French toast
- the biscuits in general
- the fact that they have kids' portions and options for some of these“

“I ordered a cake on Thursday at 1 pm to be picked up 4:30 pm on Friday for a birthday party. The man who picked up the phone was so accommodating and made sure that the customized message had the correct spelling of my name. When the cake was picked up, the lady was extremely lovely and kind. 10/10 would recommend and will be buying another birthday cake (very soon) from this bakery. I have also visited this bakery before to buy a n emergency cake and they have lots in the display case available. Perfect, delicious cakes.
