“When I tell you that’s I’ve been looking for some good authentic bbq, I have! And, I’ve been disappointed up until now. I decided to give DCity Smokehouse a try. I got the smoked wings, ribs, and collards. The meats has a nice REAL smoked flavor, seasoned to perfection, and the collards were on point. I look forward to trying more food items from the menu. I highly recommend!“

“Really good and different! Had the short-rib pastrami and it was fantastic!! Great taste, perfect texture, and the mustard sauce was the perfect compliment. Their house pickled veggies added a really nice touch. The deviled eggs are not to be missed! Smoky, but not overbearingly so. The wife had the pastrami spiced portobello and was very impressed. Guys in the truck were super nice and very patient. They were out front of Baby Cat brewery in Kensington the day we went by. “Hands down the best restaurant in the neighborhood. Fantastic brisket with good bark, best smoked pork in the region. Also, it's the best whiskey bar within 100 miles. Usually a good crowd with lots of regulars from the neighborhood. Staff obviously has low turnover and they're really friendly (unless they're really busy, in which case they are getting down to business). Owners are almost always on site and engaging with patrons (or de-escalate the occasional poor patron behavior). They have BRISKET dog treats! If we ever lose them, I'll grieve. I love this place.“

“I went there today for a nice lunch date and I requested to get all the food gluten free. They were very helpful and knowledgeable about what was gluten free on the menu and made sure to bring out the salads and explain which one was which. Everything was delicious. I highly recommend the pargiyot skewer but was not personally a fan of the lam kebab flavor. When the waiter came over and asked how everything was, I told him everything was great. He saw I had not eaten the lamb and asked me about it. Im not a complainer so I said it just wasn’t my taste. Well, when we brought us the check, he only charged us for the pargiyot and comped the lamb! I am blown away by my experience at Al Ha’esh. Excellent customer service and food! 👍“

“I really love this place. Since recently moving from Korea to the U.S., I find myself coming here whenever I crave Korean fried chicken. This is the only place that truly captures the taste of the chicken I used to enjoy back home. I once tried the BBQ branch in Greenbelt, but I was really disappointed—it didn’t taste anything like what I remember.

Whenever I feel homesick, I come here for chicken. The breading is perfectly crispy without being too thick, and the meat is juicy and fried to perfection. It's the kind of flavor that lights up a bulb in my head and brings me right back to Korea.“

“I’ve ordered from them many times and every time the food is amazing. I’ll usually switch between the Caesar salad, a build your own bbq bowl, and the sausage tacos as my main dishes. All of which I love. Their fried pickles are usually pretty good though a little on the softer side and I just had the mozzarella sticks today and it came with a wing sauce that tasted, not just felt, spicy but not overpoweringly so. They were firm enough that I’m not choking on cheese but soft enough that it didn’t feel like I was biting into a cheese stick. They were some of the best mozzarella sticks I’ve had in a while. I will have to actually go in to the restaurant at some point instead of always ordering delivery. 😁“

“I love this place for the vibe and the fact that it stays open until 2:00 a.m. is a huge bonus. Sometimes I’m just so hungry late at night and there’s nowhere else open. Weekends are especially fun when other diners get into the karaoke. It creates such a lively and welcoming atmosphere.

On my first visit, our server was named Vicky (or Vicki) she was super sweet, very attentive, and made us feel comfortable the entire time. Overall, just a great server!

“I absolutely love the Ebony Inn!!!! This place if you haven't realized yet its a PG County, MD historic landmark. The management is soooo cool I really feel that can talk to them about anything. The frozen snowball drink (The Nose Bleed) is my favorite I call it "The Nose Bleed" idk y lol but this definately a nice spot and the girls are so sexy + professional. I will be back soon!
